Space & Technology Solutions (STS) is seeking a DOORS Requirement Management Engineer on the NASA OMES III contract in support of the LEO Ground Services Project, located at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD.
The DOORS Requirement Management Engineer will consult with engineers to extract stakeholder requirements, import requirements from other databases to DOORS, and coordinate, schedule, and participate in requirement assessment.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing DOORS architecture including modules, attributes, DXL scripts and PUB templates, to support 1) requirements management activities, 2) document publication and 3) status reporting.
Responsible for management of requirements, establishing/maintaining of modules and baselines, organization of verification artifacts, as well as tracking of pertinent requirements management metrics using IBM Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) as the digital repository requirements database.
Work with a team of system engineers and interdisciplinary subject matter experts to analyze and document system requirements in IBM DOORS
Coordinate and consult with Configuration Management on the modifications and baselines of project requirements documentation
Responsible for generating systems engineering data products to support system development, design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.), and verification.
Document formation and management of document and requirement changes
Automate parts of existing processes to save time and reduce risk of errors in data
Monitor and maintain integrity of links during the development phases of programs
Responsible for coordinating and support all users of the requirements database Develop and implement common best practices for DOORS to support requirements management throughout the organization
Import and process DOORS data provided by vendors/subcontractors, and integrate that data into NASA DOORS
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Bachelor of Science
Minimum of 5 + years of related experience; Prefer 10 -12 years related experience.
Ability to troubleshoot DOORS problems
Strong understanding and fluency in the use of IBM DOORS Requirement Management tool
Configuration Management (CM) experience as related to Requirements Management
Knowledge of DOORS DXL is needed to create metrics, format import data from Word/Excel, create reports, create applications to perform tasks, error check attributes, and create custom module views
Ability to work independently and collaborate successfully with a project team including project management, technical staff and Configuration Management team.
Ability to design IBM PUB templates to publish complex documents, which may include javascript code
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft VBA, Word, Excel with ability to automate formatting
Desired Skills or Experience:
Previous exposure to NASA system engineering architecture, model-based systems engineering, mission analysis, requirements analysis, functional and physical system architecture development, or other SE artifact development processes or practices is preferred
Proactive customer service with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate customer needs by recognizing areas of opportunity and quickly providing solutions
Ability to teach DOORS to others effectively
Experience and/or Education in lieu of these qualifications will be reviewed for applicability to meet these requirements.
