Job Description
The Undersea Systems group is responsible for concept design, development and execution of programs and projects to integrate advanced systems and payloads on submarines and other platforms.
The selected candidate will support the development and integration of advanced electrical systems on submarines and subsea warfare systems. The candidate will develop knowledge on a variety of submarine electrical systems such as sonar and electronics warefare.
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience OR Master's degree and 0 years' experience OR PDP apprentice certificate and 1 year of engineering experience. Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with electrical system testing, qualification, etc preferred.
