Ferguson is currently seeking a Supply Chain Buyer Associate for our Commercial and Industrial business groups! This position offers a hybrid work option.
Responsibilities:
Expedite receiving into the Distribution Center (DC) for -at risk- material as it relates to Ferguson pipe yards
Collaborate with the transportation department to expedite priority shipments/SKUs from the vendor to DC
Monitor back orders and ensure timely shipping from ports and receiving of inbound purchase orders (PO)
Help manage/prioritize DC to DC transfers for priority receipt
Ensure advanced confirmation of bookings and follow up on late bookings
Work directly with our larger vendors to prioritize and expedite shipments based on the largest impact and ensure no -lost- product
Communicate with the purchasing team as needed around PO placement, demand and inventory concerns
Review and acknowledge PO confirmations
Liaison between vendor and pipe yard on all shipment variances
Conduct bi-weekly calls with pipe yards and management teams
Manage special projects/programs and management with DCs (forward buys, initiatives, new programs)
Management of PO dates and update past due arrival dates
Provide reporting/data to business leaders as needed
Qualifications
Strong Excel skills
Outstanding communication skills across all levels of the organization
Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as a team
