The junior engineer/analyst position will be part of a dynamic team supporting major systems acquisition, research and engineering on behalf of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OUSD) at the Pentagon and Mark Center offices in nearby Alexandria, Virginia. Serco supports engineering and program management contracts supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD)(R&E). Our subject matter experts shape program engineering and acquisition strategies and plans; technology maturation strategies; mission analyses; systems engineering and integration reviews; technical risk mitigation; Joint requirements development; and inform acquisition milestones and modernization investment decisions.

You will be part of a team responsible for highly consequential engagements with stakeholders impacting national security and the defense capabilities of the United States. You will work closely with customers and other Serco teams to deliver quality solutions recognized by DoD and industry as outstanding contributions in engineering program and risk management across the Defense enterprise.

In the Junior Engineer/Analyst position, you will:

  • Support systems engineering tasks including;Analysis and Assessment, System Definition, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture development and architecture products, kill chain analysis, and the Logistics support of Department of Defense (DoD) systems.

  • Support studies to assess threat kill chains operations to identify exploitable vulnerabilities

  • Analyze mission threads and blueforce system kill chains

  • Developing system models

  • Conduct trade studiestrade studies and sensitivity analysis

  • Develop artifacts for consideration by decision makers

*This position is contingent upon contract award

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline

  • 3 years of experience in Support systems engineering tasks such as;Analysis and Assessment, System Definition, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture development and architecture products, kill chain analysis, and the Logistics support of Department of Defense (DoD) systems

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and writing) skills
