Cracker Barrel is seeking an IT Project Manager to join the Home Office to support, direct, and manage IT projects within the organization. The ideal person for this role will be a Scrum Master with experience as a transformation coach supporting maturing teams by improving estimate tuning, monitoring burn down to understand the team's productivity/capacity, and intervening when planned activities are getting off track.
Coordinate, plan, monitor, and oversee technology projects following IT project processes.
Facilitate work with Agile Frameworks. Coach team members in agile framework.
Interact closely with Product Owners, including meetings, presentations, and various communications to assess all technical needs and communicate with the appropriate technical areas (development, infrastructure, network, etc.) expectations and status.
Oversee projects in a traditional Project Manager role when applicable.
Interact closely with all project stakeholders, define deliverables, assign individual responsibilities, identify resources needed, develop timelines, and hold team members accountable.
Provide updates to stakeholders using agile and/or classic waterfall methods when applicable.
Analyze how systems and processes work within the organization and help develop ways to use systems to increase organizational efficiency.
At the direction of leadership, research new and emerging technology that could benefit the organization.
Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of existing systems and identify alternative technology solutions.
Coordinate and lead scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospective meetings and daily standups).
Work with cross-functional team members to resolve conflicts and removes obstacles
Guide the IT development teams to higher scrum maturity
Technical knowledge of IT including software development, IT Operations, QA & Testing, and systems development.
Ability to technically communicate complex ideas and concepts.
Strong Project management Experience
Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
Ability to research and find solutions
Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Services or equivalent experience.
2+ years of Project Management Experience.
Certifications
Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) Preferred
Agile and/or Scrum Master Certification (ACP, CSM, etc.) Preferred
