Position Summary and Location
The selected individual will be responsible for developing analysis, pricing strategies and price proposals for high-priority new business pursuits. The Pricing Lead will be committed to early engagement with business development and capture teams. Although KBR is headquartered in Houston, this can be a fully remote position. The successful candidate can work from any location within the continental US. Position may require occasional travel in support of proposals, meetings, training, or other events. KBR office locations include: Washington, DC; Chantilly, VA; Reston, VA; Arlington, VA; Fairfax, VA; Fulton, MD; Baltimore, MD; Colorado Springs, CO; Huntsville, AL; San Diego, CA; Los Angeles, CA; El Segundo, CA; Harrisburg, PA, Frederick, MD and Houston, TX.
Duties/Responsibilities
The Lead Pricing Analyst's duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Leads and manages complex price proposals (generally valued at $50M+) for contracts of spanning a variety of types including CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, CR, FFP, T&M, and IDIQ.
Develops and presents pricing strategies based on research and analysis of draft solicitations, previous solicitations, and relevant historical expenditure and win/loss information.
Utilizes client provided pricing templates or develops custom price proposal as required.
Develops and presents price assumptions, financial summaries, cash flow analyses, and risk/opportunity assessments to senior leadership prior to proposal submission.
Develops Cost/Price proposal narratives to substantiate cost and pricing approach and data in compliance with all solicitation requirements.
Collaborates with and supports functional support staff from Business Development, Contracts, Procurement/Subcontracts, Human Resources, Accounting & Finance, etc. to deliver compliant and compelling price proposals.
Prepares custom reports and analysis as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and eight (8) or more years of direct US Government pricing experience.
Outstanding organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen to develop sound financial analysis and strategic pricing recommendations.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment characterized by changing deadlines, inquiries, and related pressures to accomplish short-suspense deliverables.
Ability to handle multiple assignments at one time.
Recent history of preparing proposals for U.S. Government customers.
Knowledge/experience of FAR, DFARS and CAS regulations/compliance.
Cost/Price proposal narrative writing and subsequent experience providing comprehensive responses to pricing evaluation notices, final proposal revisions, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced MS Excel skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing price-to-win analysis, customer assessments, competitive intelligence, and presenting pricing strategy recommendations to senior leadership.
Experience developing pricing proposals that include direct hire as well as subcontracted staffing comprised of CONUS and OCONUS labor, union labor, third-country nationals, and local nationals.
Experience developing proposals using ProPricer.
