Responsibilities Serves as a Business Information Specialist in a commissary store at a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) HQ facility. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a marketing specialist providing authoritative technical advice to the Agency's managers on controversial, complex, and difficult matters involving the Shopper Insights Program as expressed through social media. Position responsibilities include: Develops and distributes social media marketing messages that promulgate the Commissary Brand and support the Agency's business initiatives. Administers a wide variety of marketing and communications-related functions in support of the DeCA YAL Program, including evaluating and promoting the customer comment program. Develops plans and procedures for program implementation. Ensures that incoming customer comments are coded into databases and reviews the data received and fully coordinates responses to customers. Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level (or equivalent) by the closing date of this announcement to qualify at the GS-09. This experience may have been gained in the private or military sector. At the GS-09 applicants can also qualify on the basis of possessing a Master's of equivalent degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher graduate education leading to such a degree. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
