Seeking a curious Technical Writer to own the development of RHEL based system documentation, including installation guides, administrator guides, software version descriptions, and software test reports. The ideal candidate applies rigor to the planning, research, and development of technical content. Experience with basic Linux commands and a working knowledge of operating systems, networking, and security is preferred. What You'll Get to Do :
Create new content daily for our mission focused ashore, afloat, and airborne customers.
Facilitate collaboration among team members and lead technical discussions with subject matter experts.
Verify content and style guidelines are being met and that the information is accurate and clear.
Improve existing system documentation, including copy editing, rewriting, and proofreading.
You'll Bring These Qualifications :
Education:
Bachelor's (or higher) degree in English, Technical Writing, or similar.
Nice to have - Certification in Technical Writing.
Nice to have - Operating System (OS) training and certification.
Experience:
Required Skills:
Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and present information in a structured and accessible manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise content.
Demonstrated experience adhering to a style guideline, such as the Microsoft Style Guide.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint.
The ability to adapt to new tools and technologies
Must Have US Citizenship, and ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Active TS/SCI Clearance.
Security+ Certification.
Experience with delivering manuals for Navy or DoD systems according to a contract data requirements list (CDRL).
Proficiency in Atlassian products, such as Jira and Confluence.
Experience working in an Agile software development environment.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$56,000-$117,500
