The selected candidate will be an Operations Engineer Staff of the international production technical assistance team within Lockheed Martin's F-35 Final Assembly and Checkout Facility operating at the Nagoya, Japan site.

What You Will Be Doing

As an Operations Engineer Staff you will be responsible for managing Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE), Buyer Furnished Material (BFM), and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to accomplish cost, schedule, and quality goals for the Japan Final Assembly and Checkout facility (JFACO).

The successful candidate will be the primary interface between Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Logistics Personnel, Lockheed Martin in-country, and US domestic Production Control teams to proactively identify, forecast, and resolve BFE and non-BFE shortage constraints, Parts System inventory issues, evaluate impact to build schedule, and report material status. They will also ensure material is delivered to the Co-Producer per delivery requirements to meet build schedule.

Your responsibilities will include oversight of:

- In-country Government Furnished Equipment

- Traveled Work Processes (Parts Tracking / Requirements Coordination)

- Loose Parts Tracking / Delivery Coordination

- Inventory Audits (US Government and Corporate)

- Problem Resolution of Shipping Errors; Wrong Pull, Wrong Qty, etc.

- Identification and reconciliation of usage issues for PLS, Consumables, Tapes, etc., and SQAR Processing / RTV coordination, replacement part coordination

Basic Qualifications:

- Systems knowledge using SAP to manage parts issue, turn-in, &/or Return To Vendor (RTV)

- Understanding of international import & export logistics operations

- Understanding of US Government product Audits & Inventory Control

Desired Skills:

- Ability to work with diverse teams to prevent, alleviate, and resolve Production disruptions caused by material delays or shortages

- Familiarity with ITAR, ITC, DSP-5 & DSP-83 licenses, and requirements to satisfy SOFA import / export determinations

- Familiarity with LM tools - QADS, CAPPs, SFM, Kinaxix (rapid response), JJDL, and IMR (International Material Replacement).

- General knowledge of material management for Autonomic Logistics Information Systems (ALIS)

- Ability to work closely with co-producer to overcome Production disruptions related to materials

- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels

- Experience using Microsoft Office products to analyze data to manage and improve program processes

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
