THE ROLE : The Regional Product Support Specialist will be responsible for working closely with Process Southeast Regional Sales Managers to provide directed support in all aspects but primarily assisting them with project management, customer training, trade shows, startup and on site trouble shooting. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Support Process Regional and National Sales Managers in achieving their goals.
Support Sales Initiatives and Campaigns as directed by National Sales Manager.
Provide timely technical support to customers/representatives regarding YSI/MJK/OI TOC water quality instrumentation via phone calls, emails and site visits.
Recommend Xylem product solutions based on customer's application needs.
Provide competitive selling information to customers (why buy YSI vs. competitor).
Maintain YSI customer database (Oracle and Sales Force.Com).
Manage key customer relationships.
Attend trade shows, conferences, visit customers, perform training seminars and provide technical service/start up as needed.
Enter customer leads into Salesforce for marketing follow up.
Product quality, marketing and market intelligence information is to be shared with appropriate internal team members.
Using Onvia, Gov.spend and Dodge, provide proactive market intelligence to RSM
Provide product and pricing quotes.
Travel (including air) up to30% may be required.
Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organization needs
QUALIFICATIONS :
Degree in natural resources, chemistry, environmental, physical sciences or electronics engineering. Prior customer service experience is required.
At least 2 to 3 years of technical experience such as in a field or lab water testing role, or working with analytical instrumentation is required.
Excellent customer service skills (communication) are required.
Ability to deal with complex customer requests or problems.
Ability to analyze/interpret water quality data.
Knowledge of analytical water testing instrumentation and applications.
Working knowledge of PCs and PC software. (Oracle, Salesforce, MS Office, Shoretel)
Typing rate of 40-45 words per minute preferred.
Competent with various media options, i.e. phone, fax, e-mail.
Physical demands of lifting up to 20 pounds from floor to waist or floor to shoulder level on an occasional basis.
Customer service oriented with ability to resolve customer conflicts/problems.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Analysis and decision making skills.
Strong awareness to -follow-up- requirements.
Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
Technical proficiency, both mechanical and electrical.
SALARY :
The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. Responsible for overall planning and execution of all FlexNet deployments projects employing generally accepted Sensus process.

Will interact with all levels of the customer organization, supervise on-site Sensus personnel and coordinate the activieties of corporate, sub-contractors and customer personnel assigned to the project.

Product quality, marketing and market intelligence information is to be shared with appropriate internal team members.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Degree in natural resources, chemistry, environmental, physical sciences or electronics engineering. Prior customer service experience is required.
At least 2 to 3 years of technical experience such as in a field or lab water testing role, or working with analytical instrumentation is required.
Excellent customer service skills (communication) are required.
Ability to deal with complex customer requests or problems.
Ability to analyze/interpret water quality data.
Knowledge of analytical water testing instrumentation and applications.
Working knowledge of PCs and PC software. (Oracle, Salesforce, MS Office, Shoretel)
Typing rate of 40-45 words per minute preferred.

The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000 plus bonus. Post-sales
Predominant job responsibilities and requirements occur after the sale of the company's product to the client. Provides post-sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation, and maintenance of company products. May be involved in implementing detailed customer installation requirements. Ensures that client's needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully functioning according to specification. May provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
Works closely with outside sales, internal colleagues, distributors, contractors, consulting engineers, or others to develop understanding of the post-sale customer support needed. Partners closely with the internal colleagues to obtain classifying information of the need including level of technical involvement, expertise required, urgency, application, customer type, etc.
Works closely with the party who requested post sale support to gain deeper understanding of request and scope the need. Understands technical questions to ask to ensure proper information is provided to meet post sales need.
Responsible for providing technical and product expertise, as well as researching and gathering data to understand how to solve the post-sale customer need. Works closely with internal colleagues, subject matter experts, and technical and commercial resources to gather relevant data including technical/commercial implications of potential solutions, as well as history related to the customer and specific job.
Responsible for developing solution or corrective measure to complete customer need. Typical proclaiming solving could include commissioning and start-up support, troubleshooting (both on site and/or virtual), technical documentation and reports, performance evaluation, product modification, or accessory redesign.
Works closely with outside sales and internal colleagues to present proposed solution or corrective measure. If customer is not satisfied with proposal the AE is responsible for further corrective measures.
Works closely with sales, operations, service, and others to implement proposed solution to satisfy customer's post sale need.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
0-2+ years of relevant experience.
Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
DAY IN THE LIFE :
In this role, the physical demands may include but not limited to regularly sitting, standing, bending, reaching, etc. In addition, this role may require travel and exposure to undesirable field elements at treatment plants, contractor sites, and warehouse/shop environments where the use of PPE is required.
SALARY :
The estimated salary range for this position is $50,000 to $80,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
