Description
The ASE Customer Engagement engineering team is responsible for building the platform that enables communicating with millions of customers every day, across services such as Apple iCloud, Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, Apple Fitness+, Apple Wallet and more. In this team, you would be responsible for designing, building, improving and maintaining server-side apps that process requests at phenomenal scale, with low latency and high availability, supporting customer messaging features for our Apple Services. These services orchestrate customer messaging built by operations teams using our self-service platform. This includes targeting, personalizing and A/B testing messages to grow our active user base for Apple Services while maintaining a deep dedication to strengthening Apple's privacy policy, one of Apple's core values. The responsibilities as a senior member of the team include: - Working with our QA and SRE teams to establish quality and reliability goals - Anticipating, architecting and coding to cater for our highly-distributed mass-scale Apple ecosystem - Frequently collaborating with multiple partner engineering teams and consumers of our platform - Enabling reusability across our features and our engineering stack e.g. utilizing internal libraries and contributing to their development - Creating technical design documents and driving consensus across stakeholders - Introducing standard methodologies and automation, and driving their acceptance

This role will be highly multifunctional. Key Qualifications
We are looking for applicants with 10+ years of demonstrated ability of developing leading power management integrated solutions implemented in silicon for the mobile market with the following experience:
BS+10 Years of relevant industry experience, advanced degree preferred.
Expertise in power topologies such as buck, boost, buck-boost, charge pumps, LDOs.
Deep understanding of control architectures such as current mode, voltage mode, and hysteretic mode for applications include DC/DC converters, LED drivers, battery management circuits, LDOs, temperature sensors.
Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, device safe-operating area (SOA), and power transistors used for high frequency switching. Solid understanding of DC/DC power converter modeling techniques using any of the following simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simplis, PSIM, or Spectre.
Understanding of Analog IC circuit design as it relates to power conversion architecture requirements, design tools and methodologies. Circuit blocks include bandgap references, op amps, OTAs, bias circuits, comparators, oscillators, DACs, ADCs, level- shifters, switching power stages, LDOs, charge pumps, glue logic. Key parameters include voltage and current accuracy, load and line transient response, DC gain, bandwidth, phase and gain margin, slew rate, efficiency, offset, PSRR, CMRR, noise, propagation delay, input and output common mode range, supply headroom.
Experience working in a team environment on mixed signal ICs that integrate power management circuits, ADCs, DACs, and digital state machines is strongly preferred with proven industry- leading design expertise required.
Experience taking projects from the concept phase, through chip architecture, writing electrical specifications, process technology selection, die size estimation, managing schedules, IC design, layout supervision, layout extraction and verification, DRCs, LVS, LVL, mask and wafer fabrication monitoring, ATE lab correlation, corner lot characterization analysis, hands-on lab evaluation, release to production, yield improvement, and failure analysis support.
Knowledge of board level considerations, including component selection, PCB layout, packaging technologies and thermal analysis.
Knowledge of IC process technologies, reliability design rules, ESD and latch-up testing.
Knowledge about industrial standards and practices in appropriate technologies.

Key Qualifications
3+ years of experience
Expertise in dynamic modeling, and control systems design, including realizations for electronic and electromechanical systems
Expertise in estimation and Kalman filtering
Practical experience with machine learning, computational photography and image stabilization algorithms
Ability to formulate lumped-mass dynamic models from first principles, and proficiency with flexible body dynamics
Expertise in the use of Matlab and Simulink for modeling and simulation
