The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist to lead project teams and to execute projects aligned to critical business priorities. These projects will generate financial results and drive process improvement and efficiency.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional projects designed to analyze and design sequence of operations and work flows to improve efficiencies.
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
Develop and implement plans and programs for advanced manufacturing processes and facility modifications to reduce labor hours and costs of manufacturing through Lean Manufacturing.
Interfaces with other departments to identify improvement opportunities for driving high quality and efficient processes
Mobilizes problem solving teams and supports groups to streamline processes
Facilitates kaizen events to drive continuous improvements in operations and office areas, including effective preparation and follow-up
Participates on multiple projects and applies continuous improvement techniques leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodologies to solve problems and build new capabilities.
Shares best practices and develops coordinated plans.
Be a change agent: challenge organizational leaders to drive continuous improvements and remove organizational barriers to continuous improvement processes.
Assist in development of long-range vision for 'next-generation' manufacturing plant.
Apply Best in Class benchmarks, cost analysis, Lean Six Sigma techniques to study manufacturing systems and operations. Identify cost and quality improvement projects.
Work with product engineering and development functions to enable successful product launch and VOD/VAVE initiatives
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
BS/BA Degree or Equivalent
5+ years of successful leadership in executing continuous improvement / Lean Six Sigma efforts and enabling efficiency, effectiveness and tangible financial benefit
Hands-on and demonstrated experience with continuous improvement programs including employment of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies
Experienced in problem solving techniques such as Six Sigma, A3's, 5 Why, 8D's and Fishbone diagrams, as well as creating documents such as FEMA's, PFMEAs, control plans and flow charts
Facilitated or participated in at least 2 separate week long kaizen events while performing proper preparation and follow up
Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining detailed project plans for large scale projects
Comfortable with ambiguity
Demonstrated experience with ensuring effective Change Management development and execution
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
LSS Black Belt or Lean Master certification
5-10 years' experience within a manufacturing industry that does machining, assembly, and welding.
Experience working in union environments
ERP/MRP knowledge and experience
Robust knowledge of MS office applications including Project and Visio

THE ROLE : The Application Engineer will be responsible for providing pre/post-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products, applications, and solutions for Flygt Products - Submersible Pumps, Mixers, Pump Stations etc.. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify Consulting Need: Works closely with outside sales, internal colleagues, distributors, consulting engineers, or others to develop understanding of the consulting request. Partners closely with the requestor to information to better classify the need including level of technical involvement, expertise required, urgency, application, customer type, etc.
Research/Gather Data: Responsible for providing technical and product expertise, as well as researching and gathering data to understand how to meet the requestor's consulting need or solve the problem. Works closely with internal colleagues, subject matter experts, and technical and commercial resources to gather relevant data including technical/commercial implications of potential solutions, as well as history related to the customer or request.
Complete the Need/Problem Solve: Responsible for meeting the requestor's consulting need or develop viable solution to requestor's problem. Typical problem solving could include turn-key or engineered-to-order system design, customer station design, custom accessory or ancillary equipment design support, training requests, engineering specification, or technical presentation and training development.
Validate and Communicate Solution: Works closely with outside sales and internal colleagues to communicate and validate consulting need has been fulfilled or to present proposed solution. If requestor is not satisfied with outcome, the AE is responsible for further consultation. AE acts as advocate and advisor to ensure consulting need is met.
Initial Tender/Spec/Job Details Review: Responsible for providing a initial, high level review of all technical documentation for a project including specifications, plans, drawings, etc. Provides technical expertise to assist opportunity with initial tender review. May participate in on-site job walk at customer site.
Bid Prep: Acts as a technical consultant in efforts to prepare project bid. Provides product and application expertise, design support, technical drawing support, etc. Advises sales team on technical request and implications as it related to the project.
Detailed Tender/Spec/Job Details Review: Responsible for providing a detailed review of all technical documentation for a project including specifications, plans, drawings, etc. Ensures proposal is feasible, technically viable, and profitable. Calls attention to any risk associated with the technical design of product offering or supporting equipment.
Procure Quotes: Acts as a technical consultant in efforts to procure quotes. Provides design support for accessories and ancillary equipment, including third party buy-out items. Creates CAD drawings as necessary for quoting purposes.
Review Bid: Acts as a technical consultant in efforts to prepare and review bid package.
Factory Testing Approval: Works closely with internal and external clients to obtain customer approval of any required testing. Provides technical expertise on testing questions or concerns. May serve as on-site consultant for customer witness testing. Learns and understands Hydraulic Institute standards and acts as technical advisor for customers
Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
0-3 years' related experience including pump sales and service.
Must have knowledge of pump hydraulics, mechanics and construction, and common metallurgical uses. Strong math and engineering skills required.
Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with ambiguity, manage multiple projects at once, and to review technical documents.
Ability to take a leadership role in group meetings and projects.
Professional Engineering (PE) certification preferred.
Salesforce, MathCAD, and Pump Selection Software experience is a plus.

THE ROLE : The Service Shop Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, servicing, and repairing pumping and support equipment in a safe and efficient manner in theshop or at a customer job site. Lead, direct, and perform environmental (Air, Water, Waste) regulatory inspections including -cradle to grave- environmental audits of Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDF)
Lead, direct, manage, and coach teams on accident investigations and help facilitate the programs and procedures to ensure work-related injuries are reported and investigated to prevent reoccurrences.

Additional Information/ Work Environment :
In this role, the working environment is onsite and does incorporate field-level operations. SALARY :
The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000 plus bonus. THE ROLE : The ( On-Site) Environmental, Health, Safety, Security & Sustainability Manager will be responsible for partnering with operational leadership teams as well as corporate EHS teams to develop, lead, manage, and sustain EHS-related activities and programs that yield a successful injury prevention and environmental footprint reduction campaign. Manage recordkeeping (OSHA 300, IMSS, or EHS)
Lead, direct, and perform environmental (Air, Water, Waste) regulatory inspections including -cradle to grave- environmental audits of Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDF)

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional projects designed to analyze and design sequence of operations and work flows to improve efficiencies.
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

THE ROLE : The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for covering the assigned territory. Utilizing the Customer Relationship Management system, generate sales plans, sales reports, bids, proposals and quotes; maintain prompt completion of filing expense reports and call reports.
Keep up-to-date with and review/analyze lead generators.
Participate in trade/professional shows and conferences as required.
Remain conscious and role model a safety-first approach at all time; ensure safety and regulatory compliance at both Xylem offices and on customer sites.

QUALIFICATIONS :

DAY IN THE LIFE : In this role, the working environment is both in office and visiting customer job sites as well as a shop environment. This position requires the ability to safely and effectively operate a company vehicle for extended periods of time throughout cities, job sites, major highways and interstates (including tunnels and bridges) and in all weather conditions. The standard weekly job hours are 40 hours and the travel requirement is up to 50%. This position requires the new hire to lift up to 70 lbs.
