Pump Technician, First Shift - Xylem

We are hiring for a Pump Technician to join our First Shift team!

Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.

Xylem is hiring! Pump Technician on first shift (6:00am - 2:30pm). As a member of the Production Team, you will be assembling, disassembling, hydrostatic testing and performance testing of pumps. Receiving and stocking inventory, pulling orders for both pump and parts orders, part identification, assembling parts orders, prepping and painting orders and final packaging for shipment. If you have mechanical aptitude and like variety in your work day, then we are looking for you!

We offer a full benefits package to include 4 WEEKS Paid Time Off (PTO) for hourly positions, health, dental, vision, investment savings plan, and other additional miscellaneous benefits.

We are also offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus, payable after 6 months of hire.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

Pump and parts order assembly

Pump disassembly and repair

Pump hydrostatic and performance testing

Receiving and stocking inventory

Prepping and painting of pump and parts orders

Packaging and shipment of pump and parts orders

Adhere to company safety practices and processes

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills and enjoys a variety of work / multi-tasking

Strong communication skills, both written and oral

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of mechanical assembly experience and knowledge of rotating equipment preferred

Fork-Lift/Crane experience preferred

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.

Regularly required to stand, reach, bend, squat, push, pull and move about the facility

Ability to climb ladders, lift and carry heavy loads, perform manual labor.

Ability to work in areas involving heights, enclosed spaces, and near or above water.

Work with material handling equipment, hand tools, and daily exposure to shop elements

Walk or stand at least 8+ hours per day

Ability to work overtime occasionally

Work Environment:

Shop: Work with material handling equipment, hand tools, daily exposure to shop elements.

Day in the Life: regularly required to stand, reach, bend, squat, push, pull and move about the facility. Work with material handling equipment, hand tools (saws, drills, hammers), and daily exposure to shop elements. Walk or stand at least 8+ hours per day. Ability to work overtime occasionally, as needed

Xylem is hiring! Pump Technician on first shift (6:00am - 2:30pm). As a member of the Production Team, you will be assembling, disassembling, hydrostatic testing and performance testing of pumps. Receiving and stocking inventory, pulling orders for both pump and parts orders, part identification, assembling parts orders, prepping and painting orders and final packaging for shipment. If you have mechanical aptitude and like variety in your work day, then we are looking for you!

Pump disassembly and repair

The Role: Sr Manager - Global Service Delivery, Invoice to Pay (I2P) is responsible for overseeing the management of I2P transactional processes globally. This role is critical in building a global service delivery model and strategy aligned with industry best practices. Through leadership and coaching of the global I2P teams, this role will ensure service delivery for the organization is meeting the defined strategy and expected results. The Sr Manager will also identify improvement needs within our captive or outsourced teams. This leadership role will support efforts around process improvement and strengthened compliance in the end-to-end I2P processes. The position reports to the Director Global Process Management and Transformation P2P .

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Strategy planning, tactical execution and delivery of critical EHS commitments

Receiving and stocking inventory, pulling orders for both pump and parts orders, part identification, assembling parts orders, prepping and painting orders and final packaging for shipment.   • Initial Tender/Spec/Job Details Review: Responsible for providing ainitial, high level review of all technical documentation for a project including specifications, plans, drawings, etc. Provides technical expertise to assist opportunity with initial tender review.   • Bid Prep: Acts as a technical consultant in efforts to prepare project bid. Provides product and application expertise, design support, technical drawing support, etc. Advises sales team on technical request and implications as it related to the project.

THE ROLE: Sensus, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a RF Field Engineer, this position will be responsible for the FSS process of RF studies pertaining to his/her service territory; furthermore the responsibilities include operations and maintenance scheduling, customer interface, sub contractors, network deployment, optimization, and customer acceptance

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Main responsibility is certifying the RF equipment utilized in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) networks. The RF equipment consists of proprietary cellular type base station hardware used in reading and communicating with electric, gas, water, lighting and various other endpoints.

  • Utilization of Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) for work schedule, data tracking, operational verification, certification of equipment tracking and paperwork

  • Provide written documentation, screen captures, photography or any other mechanism to a host of internal and external resources.

  • Additional duties will include the oversite of contractor installation groups used in installing the RF equipment and provide feedback of their installations.

  • Responsible for troubleshooting networks that fail to meet or maintain the minimum contractual levels or System Level Acceptance (SLA).

  • Items could consist of but are not limited to interference mitigation in the Sensus licensed spectrum, faulty installations of the RF network equipment, base station hardware or power system failures or other instances that may arise

  • Provide feedback to the internal RF Design group, VAR's, installation contractors or any other entity that requires the tracking and management of installations in order to set and maintain Sensus' high standards

  • May be called on to be a resource during pilots, test phases, proof of concept in an effort to increase market share within the AMI industry and meet with external individuals and or groups to promote an eventual sale.

  • In instances of NaaS (Network as a Service) in the given territory the RFE will be responsible in maintaining the projected response times called out in the contract.

  • Will develop topics for and conduct routine meetings within Sensus to help solidifyprojected versus actual field performance metrics, provide standard deployment practices from the deployment of pilots to O&M activities and document findings.

  • Primary interaction and workload will be directed by the Project and or Program Managers within the geographic area being served and report to this group

  • Training and support will either come from the Senior RFE and or the regional RFE

  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Work related experience including AMI / AMR, military, cellular, industry preferred with a focus on RF field related background

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills are essential. The ability to work under pressure and provide high quality solutions to problems. Must be able to work independently and function as part of a team internally as well as externally.

  • Must be literate with all MS Suite applications, general computer skills, able to type efficiently, Spreadsheets, Graphs and Analyses of project related information, Salesforce knowledge or similar CRM based applications,

  • Must be literate in using RF field test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzer, , Wattmeter, loads, attenuators etc.

  • Additional understanding of antenna's and capabilities (panel, Omni), cable types, usage as well as it's dB values, combiner splitters and all the properties that exist for each, backhaul such as fiber, modems, routers, cellular, SIM card configuration, range finder. Helpful to have a general aptitude for hardware, firmware, software and how they work together

  • Unix, Linux, Oracle, MSSQL background is not essential but a plus for individuals in understanding the background on data processing

  • Understanding of programmable DC power systems and associated battery plants

  • All candidates must have a reliable source of transportation to travel throughout the region, valid and current driver's license and clean driving record

  • This position does require extensive travel, as much as 75%.

  • This role is hybrid-based when not traveling to customer sites.

SKILLS:

  • Knowledgeable in BICSI, ANSI, and TIA Standards

  • RF Infrastructure installation experience

  • Linux experience

  • Mapping software experience such as MapInfo, Streets & Trips, Delorme

  • Propagation analysis experience such as Techwizard, Vertical Mapper, Planet EV

  • Validate and Communicate Solution: Works closely with outside sales and internal colleagues to communicate and validate consulting need has been fulfilled or to present proposed solution. If requestor is not satisfied with outcome, the AE is responsible for further consultation. AE acts as advocate and advisor to ensure consulting need is met.

  • Initial Tender/Spec/Job Details Review: Responsible for providing ainitial, high level review of all technical documentation for a project including specifications, plans, drawings, etc. Provides technical expertise to assist opportunity with initial tender review. May participate in on-site job walk at customer site.

  • Bid Prep: Acts as a technical consultant in efforts to prepare project bid. Provides product and application expertise, design support, technical drawing support, etc. Advises sales team on technical request and implications as it related to the project.

  • Detailed Tender/Spec/Job Details Review: Responsible for providing a detailed review of all technical documentation for a project including specifications, plans, drawings, etc. Ensures proposal is feasible, technically viable, and profitable. Calls attention to any risk associated with the technical design of product offering or supporting equipment.

  • Procure Quotes: Acts as a technical consultant in efforts to procure quotes. Provides design support for accessories and ancillary equipment, including third party buy-out items. Creates CAD drawings as necessary for quoting purposes.

  • Review Bid: Acts as a technical consultant in efforts to prepare and review bid package.

  • Factory Testing Approval: Works closely with internal and external clients to obtain customer approval of any required testing. Provides technical expertise on testing questions or concerns. May serve as on-site consultant for customer witness testing. Learns and understands Hydraulic Institute standards and acts as technical advisor for customers

  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineeringrequired.

  • 3+ years' related experience including pump sales and service.

  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
