This position serves as the field team lead and provides functional direction to field staff and primary point of escalation for customer, vet or store partner issues. This position also serves as a driver of company vehicles to vaccination clinics and is responsible for overall performance and operational compliance of the day's clinics.Essential Job Functions:The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.- Provide functional direction and supervision to field team.- Ability to effectively perform functions of all clinic team roles and provide coaching and functional direction to individuals in these roles where necessary.May be responsible for filling one or more of these roles at a time.Safely operate company supplied vehicle to and from clinic locations and office, when assigned as driver .- Ability to lift up to 40lbs 5. Primary point of contact for Market Manager on clinic related issues.- Liaise and partner with leadership at clinic locations to determine optimal clinic location, crowd management practices, and manage any issues that arise during clinic.- Ensure all clinic processes are followed and necessary clinic paperwork is filled out accurately and completely.- Facilitate sales environment among team by leading targeted discussion topics during daily commuteOther Duties and Responsibilities:- Ensure proper handling of all revenues for day including deposit to safe or bank.- Assist customer in completion paperwork for a clear accurate medical record.- Crowd management, clean up pet waste, effectively communicate and manage situations involving disruptive pets.- Offer available discounts to win customers experiencing disruptive or unpleasant experience.- Manage and assist loading and unloading equipment and supplies from company supplied vehicle in a safe manner.- Assist in training new partners according to training plan expectations. 6. Understand and communicate Vetco medical recommendation, booster schedule and products.- Effectively communicate with store management to build an atmosphere of cooperation and business success.- At conclusion of clinic, present report card and site report to MOD. Obtain the gross sales receipt of clinic sales (clinic transaction model) or SKU movement report (customer transaction model) from the MOD.- Prior to departure, confirm the clinic area is clean and no trash, sharps, clinic equipment or supplies have been left on the floor or shelves.- Notify store well in advance if clinic team is running late.- End of clinic and end of day reconciliation of all equipment and supplies.- Escalate any clinic issues to Market Manager, Store Manager, and/or Vetco Customer Service for further resolution via Incident reporting process.- Accountable for accurate completion of all paperwork - Ensure all paperwork and checklists are completed.- Ensure rig supplies and product bins are restocked at the end of day.- Participate in company and sponsor facilitated training related to products, services, policies and procedures.- Complete the Clinic Lead reports for each shift Nature of Supervision Position directly reports to the Market Manager.Supervisory Responsibility:While field associates report directly to the Market Manager, this position provides work direction and functional leadership to rig employees while in clinic or transit.Previous Experience:- Must be able to perform all clinic job roles.- Possess outstanding customer service skills, an aptitude for basic sales techniques and an interest in animals, as well as a professional appearance and demeanor.- Hold leadership qualities and/or experience.- Be able to operate company vehicles.- Ability to effectively communicate, provide functional direction and leadership to team and resolve difficult situations independently.- As direct contact with animals is required, must be comfortable handling and restraining animals within company policy.- Existing partners applying must be in good standing.Work Environment:- The majority of job duties are conducted indoors.- Passenger vehicle travel is required to commute to work locations. In some locations, overnight travel may be required.- Because this position requires bending, kneeling, moving equipment (up to 40 pounds, as necessary) and standing for long periods of time, there may be risk of injury resulting from improper procedures.

What you'll do:- Accountable for driving sales and for the overall effective operations within the area of aquatics, reptile, bird and small companion animals.- Responsible for the welfare of all live animals and merchandise within the department.- Responsible for the achievement of the Companion Animal department's budgeted sales goals, gross margin, animal and merchandise shrink targets, managing inventory levels, supply cost, reported budgeted expense rates and budgeted contribution.Key Accountabilities:- Ensure the health, proper handling and welfare of all animals are met according to P&Ps, including completion of hourly animal check list and wellness cards. Follow Vet Protocol for all sick animals.- Directly supervises the Aquatics Specialist(s), leads and coaches all store partners in providing great guest service and in performing their assigned tasks with the objective of achieving budgeted sales.- Ensure all supply back stock is worked daily and all other department back stock a minimum of 3x per week.- Responsible for proper ordering of live animals to maximize sales, margin and inventory. Analyze inventory management data for the department and make recommendations for improvement.- Ensure OSE standards are maintained in the department.- Provide training and coaching in GUEST and product knowledge to partners daily on the sales floor and on an ongoing basis. Ensure a friendly and courteous atmosphere by all partners in the department.- Achieve minimum presentation standards at all times in aquatics.- In partnership with the SL/GEL ensure proper scheduling is being maintained in the department to ensure in-stock goals and guest service during peak hours.- Partner with the Inventory Leader to ensure in-stock levels. Goals are achieved by reporting max changes or requested overrides are achieving I.M. grade.- Effectively organize and price all clearance merchandise for the department.- Assist the SL/GEL in planning out location changes needed to the grid and ad planner to maximize sales.

• Performs all aspects of point-of-sale service, e.g. cash sales, credit and check sales, returns and exchanges. Performs the daily balance of cash drawer as necessary.

• Completes cash register transactions as well as guest carry-out service consisting of merchandise weighing up to but not exceeding 50 pounds per trip.

  • Communicate all situations and/or conditions to the SL/GEL that affect the store (e.g. guest complaints, item requests, inadequate inventory levels, etc.).- Ensure the proper handling and documentation for all Adoption Animals.- Ensure the completion of all Planograms, Cut Ins and Reworks.- Perform duties and assume responsibility as Leader on Duty (LOD) as needed.- Perform all special or other projects as assigned.LOD Key Accountabilities:- Provide quick and courteous service to all guests by utilizing the GUEST Model throughout the store.- Ensure OSE standards are maintained throughout the store.- Ensure that the store is opened and / or closed in accordance with established P&Ps.- Provide training and coaching in GUEST and product knowledge to store partners.- In partnership with the Store Leader and/or Guest Experience Leader ensure proper store scheduling is being maintained to ensure guest service during peak hours.- Adhere to and promote established safety procedures.- Assist the Guest Experience Leader and/or Store Leader in planning out location changes needed to the grid and ad planner to maximize sales.Supervisory Responsibility:- Directly supervise all Aquatics partners.- Provide guidance and training to partners.- Complete performance evaluations for partners.Work Environment:The majority of job duties are conducted indoors, although merchandise stocking and customer carry-outs will require that an associate leave the store briefly. What you'll do:- Accountable for driving sales and for the overall effective operations within the area of aquatics, reptile, bird and small companion animals.- Responsible for the welfare of all live animals and merchandise within the department.- Responsible for the achievement of the Companion Animal department's budgeted sales goals, gross margin, animal and merchandise shrink targets, managing inventory levels, supply cost, reported budgeted expense rates and budgeted contribution.Key Accountabilities:- Ensure the health, proper handling and welfare of all animals are met according to P&Ps, including completion of hourly animal check list and wellness cards. Follow Vet Protocol for all sick animals.- Directly supervises the Aquatics Specialist(s), leads and coaches all store partners in providing great guest service and in performing their assigned tasks with the objective of achieving budgeted sales.- Ensure all supply back stock is worked daily and all other department back stock a minimum of 3x per week.- Responsible for proper ordering of live animals to maximize sales, margin and inventory. Analyze inventory management data for the department and make recommendations for improvement.- Ensure OSE standards are maintained in the department.- Provide training and coaching in GUEST and product knowledge to partners daily on the sales floor and on an ongoing basis. Ensure a friendly and courteous atmosphere by all partners in the department.- Achieve minimum presentation standards at all times in aquatics.- In partnership with the SL/GEL ensure proper scheduling is being maintained in the department to ensure in-stock goals and guest service during peak hours.- Partner with the Inventory Leader to ensure in-stock levels. Goals are achieved by reporting max changes or requested overrides are achieving I.M. grade.- Effectively organize and price all clearance merchandise for the department.- Assist the SL/GEL in planning out location changes needed to the grid and ad planner to maximize sales.

What you'll do:- Ensure that proper aquatic care and husbandry is being provided to our aquatic life in the store.- Act as the primary resource in their assigned store regarding all aquatic life education and care.- Responsible for the achievement of the store's budgeted sales goals by driving sales in the aquatic life areas. This will be accomplished by effectively assisting customers in the proper selection of aquatic life and merchandise in accordance with their specific needs. This position will receive day to day direction and coaching from the Companion Animal Department Manager.- This job is composed of a variety of different tasks that are covered by operational guidelines. Individual judgment is occasionally required to complete assigned tasks.Essential Job Functions:The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.- Have a strong interest in animal welfare and possess a high level of knowledge of aquatic life care and husbandry.- Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with emphasis on company interests.- Be comfortable and proficient handling and caring for aquatic life of various types and species.- Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes such as caring for aquatic life, maintaining proper water quality, setting up an maintaining displays and merchandise kits for sale and placing aquatic life orders.

• Performs all aspects of point-of-sale service, e.g. cash sales, credit and check sales, returns and exchanges. Performs the daily balance of cash drawer as necessary.

• Completes cash register transactions as well as guest carry-out service consisting of merchandise weighing up to but not exceeding 50 pounds per trip.

  • Maintain honesty and integrity in the work area.- Move merchandise up to 50 pounds.- Must be able to work evenings and weekends.Supervisory Responsibility:NoneWork Environment:The majority of job duties are conducted indoors, although customer carryouts and veterinarian visits will require that an employee leave the store briefly. Because this position requires bending, kneeling, moving merchandise (up to 50 pounds, as necessary) and standing for long periods of time, there may be risk of injury resulting from not following procedures. Ability and willingness to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and flexibility in scheduling of work hours including evenings and weekends to meet store needs.

Performs the daily balance of cash drawer as necessary.- Assists in stocking and facing merchandise according to established standards.- Completes cash register transactions as well as guest carry-out service consisting of merchandise weighing up to but not exceeding 50 pounds per trip.- Adheres to loss prevention policies.- Assists in the loading, unloading and stocking of merchandise according to established procedures, in order to ensure that the store is well stocked and that inventory counts are accurate.- Ensures that store animals, birds, reptiles and fish receive the highest quality care, maintained in habits that are clean, safe, and secure, and that all reasonable and required steps are taken to maintain their good health.- Alerts store leaders immediately if any animal, reptile, bird or fish is in need of medical attention or other special care.- Performs routine housekeeping tasks as required to maintain the professional image and appearance of the store, to include sweeping/mopping the floors, dusting, washing the windows, facing the merchandise on the shelves, restroom maintenance, etc.- Assists store leadership in the opening/closing of the store as needed, to include the accurate completion of required paperwork.- Participates in the completion of quarterly and annual physical inventory counts.- Adheres to and promotes established safety procedures and maintenance of clean, safe and healthy environment for store partners, guests and animals.- Performs special projects as assigned.Supervisory Responsibility:None.Work Environment:The majority of job duties are conducted indoors, although merchandise receiving, merchandise carry-outs, or stock balancing will require leaving the store briefly. This position requires bending, kneeling, moving merchandise and standing for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and pull 2000 lbs utilizing material handling equipment. Improper use of safety equipment and/or not following proper lifting techniques may pose of risk of injury to customers, pets, and store personnel. Follow all safety precautions and procedures.
