Position Summary
Our Environmental Services Technicians are responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. While executing the assigned tasks, the EVS Tech will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Great customer service and a friendly can-do attitude will ensure your success. Our techs are responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas throughout the Toledo Hospital campus within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention. The environmental services technician, in accordance with organizational standards of quality, is an essential contributor to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention and a positive patient experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, as well as other common areas of their job assignment such as rest rooms, nurses' stations, corridors, conference rooms, utility rooms, treatment areas, kitchens, offices, lobbies, lounges, stairwells and waiting rooms. Other assigned areas may include surgery OR's, labor and delivery, emergency department and other procedural areas.
Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge of the health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements as well as proper and safe chemical use.
Adheres to all organization safety, risk management and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety.
Actively participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives, including but not limited to initiatives to improve patient experience and cleanliness metrics.
Maintains cleaning cart(s), supplies and equipment evidence by properly stocking and restocking environmental services cart in a neat and orderly fashion.
Removes trash and other waste and transports to the appropriate disposal area while identifying proper waste streams handling.
Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy requirements (HIPAA).
Practices critical thinking skills.
Demonstrates personal accountability and shows appropriate respect to co-workers, patients and visitors.
Identifies and utilizes appropriate resources to ensure problems or concerns are followed through and resolved.
Demonstrates knowledge of facility safety requirements.
Demonstrates the ability to operate and properly maintain all EVS tools and equipment needed to clean and disinfect the environment.
Demonstrates flexibility with regards to daily work assignment and assigned tasks.
May be asked to assist with on-boarding and peer-training of new Environmental Technicians.
Requires attention to detail, ability to follow written and verbal directions and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to move about the hospital and between workstations.
Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to operate and utilize pagers, vacuums, putty knives, carts and trash mobiles.
Ability to tolerate unpleasant odors and possible exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids; must be able to tolerate exposure to dust and chemicals.
Ability to constantly move, lift or carry light to medium weight equipment furniture, etc. and occasionally move or lift heavy equipment or furniture.
Must be able to wear N95 or PAPR hood.
Stoop bend, reach, stretch, push and pull. Must be able to move and/or lift material and damp mops or towels weighing up to 10 lbs., 70% of the time; move carts weighing up to 40 lbs., 10% of the time; and move carts weighing up to 50 lbs., 20% of the time.
Performs other duties as directed.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
High School Diploma desired/preferred.
Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) and/or Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician (CSCT) desired/preferred.
Special Skills/ Equipment:
Can demonstrate effective use of computers and/or mobile devices for daily job performance activities.
Ability to read/write English at 6th-9th grade level preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY Performs routine and special blood specimen collection for all age specific patients.
ACCOUNTABILITIES All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise 1. Collects products or specimens for basic procedures and may perform point-of-care testing using proper techniques. 2. Follows strict principles of asepsis and antisepsis. Assists in the care of the patient prior to, during and after specimen collection. 3. Determines, from like samples, combinations of tests and the associated acceptable minimum volumes. Knowledgeable of pre-analytic variables, which may affect specimen analysis. Familiar with test synonyms and abbreviations, and cross-referencing tests to specimen types. 4. Utilizes laboratory computer information system to include all work aides and shortcuts within the system. Utilizes quality assurance data to enhance the services rendered by the section. Recommends changes in procedures to address quality issues and provide customer/patient satisfaction. 5. Performs and documents quality control procedures. 6. Acts as a resource and is a liaison between phlebotomy staff and Laboratory /Point of Care Team. 7. Cross trained in defined core job functions and patient care departments. 8. Routinely perform difficult specimen collections, such as re-draws and misses. 9. Assists in the training of new associates or students. 10. As needed, performs all pre-analytic tasks associated with sample preparation including, but not limited to, centrifugation, decanting, and specimen packaging. 11. Maintains established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control. Complies with requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies by attending mandatory in-services and continuing laboratory education and participating in continuous quality improvement. Maintains and upgrades personal professional development. 12. Maintains appropriate par levels and organizes supplies and equipment in work areas as assigned. Notifies appropriate associate when re-order levels are reached, and equipment needs to be repaired. 13. Maintains protocols and procedures for excellent patient care and follows guidelines for infection control management. 14. Demonstrates good teamwork. Willingly accepts adjustments to assignments and adapts willingly to changes in workflow and processes. Provides excellent customer service incorporating ProMedica's core values. 15. Performs other duties as directed or assigned.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
License/Certification/Experience: A diploma from an accredited phlebotomy training institute OR one year phlebotomy experience. - Successful completion of an academic program which included substantial practical clinical phlebotomy experience (i.e.: 3+ week clinical student rotation program in a hospital setting).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Professional registration preferred [i.e., PBT(ASCP)] - 1 year experience in a high-volume phlebotomy environment
WORKING CONDITIONS Personal Protective Equipment: Employee will follow policy and wear all PPE as recommended. Physical Demands: Must be able to continuously move between hospital departments, and floors while maintaining confidentiality on workstations. Must be able to understand directions and be able to communicate and respond to inquiries between all levels of hospital staffing, patient care and requires effective interpersonal skills. Must be able to tolerate exposure to disease bearing specimens, blood, and body fluids, odorous chemicals, carcinogens, mutagens, low level radiation, electrical hazards, and flammable liquids. Must be prepared to wear appropriate PPE and follow PPE guidelines. Must be able to differentiate colors. Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer. Must be able to move, push, lift or carry materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., up to 75% of the time. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, potentially 100% of shift. Shifts for this position are 12 hours in length, covering the patient care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays and weekends.

POSITION SUMMARY The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be competent to care for patients of all ages to include infants, children, adolescents, adult and geriatric population dependent on the area assigned. The Milk Technician will meet the nutritional needs of patients through safe preparation, storage and delivery of the infant feedings. Other duties include but are not limited to:
Prepares formula and human milk accurately according to established written formulations and processes
Follows pre-established preparation procedures and adheres to quality control standards
Operates all equipment needed to prepare feeding for infants in a safe and responsible manner
Labels and stores prepared formula and human milk properly
Delivers prepared formulas and human milk to patients room refrigerators daily

Develops and administers physical therapy treatment programs to facilitate rehabilitation of physically disabled patients and to maximize function and independence. Directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce and enhance performance. Facilitates the learning of those skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity.
Accountabilities

Position Summary:
Prepares, seasons, and cooks food for hospitals patients, employees, and visitors. Performs lead role for kitchen service activities and the delivery of food in consultation with the Chef, Managers, Supervisors, and Clinical Dietitians.
Accountabilities:
Applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients/clients served, i.e. infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Prepares, seasons, and cooks food. Cuts, pours, measures, and mixes ingredients according to recipes. Uses a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment, including choppers, slicers, mixers, and blenders.
Previews menus and work orders to determine type and quantities of meals, vegetables, soups, salads, and desserts to be obtained and prepared. Responsible for menu selection and completion.
Plans and coordinates cooking schedules so that meals will be ready at required times.
Assist with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Alerts Manager to problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies. Detects and reports spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, or other unusual conditions.
Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards. Ensures that sanitary levels are maintained throughout the food preparation process as well as throughout the workday.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Education: None required.
Skills: Capable of operating kitchen equipment; have good math and communication skills; be able to read and speak English; have the ability to learn how to change and convert recipes as needed and to learn special diet production needs. The Candidate needs to be able to deal effectively with a fast-paced environment and be open to new ideas and be willing to take instruction. Must have a basic understanding of culinary basics: cooking temperatures and proper labeling/rotation of food product.

Position Summary
As a Housekeeper, you will clean and prepare areas in order to maintain clean and sanitary conditions for guest, patient, and staff occupancy. Position Summary
Our Environmental Services Technicians are responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. While executing the assigned tasks, the EVS Tech will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Great customer service and a friendly can-do attitude will ensure your success. Our techs are responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas throughout the Toledo Hospital campus within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention. The environmental services technician, in accordance with organizational standards of quality, is an essential contributor to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention and a positive patient experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, as well as other common areas of their job assignment such as rest rooms, nurses' stations, corridors, conference rooms, utility rooms, treatment areas, kitchens, offices, lobbies, lounges, stairwells and waiting rooms. Other assigned areas may include surgery OR's, labor and delivery, emergency department and other procedural areas.
Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge of the health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements as well as proper and safe chemical use.
Adheres to all organization safety, risk management and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety.
Actively participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives, including but not limited to initiatives to improve patient experience and cleanliness metrics.
Maintains cleaning cart(s), supplies and equipment evidence by properly stocking and restocking environmental services cart in a neat and orderly fashion.
Removes trash and other waste and transports to the appropriate disposal area while identifying proper waste streams handling.
Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy requirements (HIPAA).

ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children's Hospital is a 169-bed facility that has grown to be the region's leading pediatric care facility. Position Summary :
The Milk Technician will meet the nutritional needs of patients through safe preparation, storage and delivery of the infant feedings. Other duties include but are not limited to:
Prepares formula and human milk accurately according to established written formulations and processes
Follows pre-established preparation procedures and adheres to quality control standards
Operates all equipment needed to prepare feeding for infants in a safe and responsible manner
Labels and stores prepared formula and human milk properly
Delivers prepared formulas and human milk to patients room refrigerators daily
Maintains records of infant feeding inventory, preparation, and orders utilizing electronic medical record, barcoding and other systems as appropriate.
Part-Time Hours: 32 (bi-weekly)
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have basic math skills and be able to successfully pass a math proficiency test related to milk feeding orders
Must have CPR
Must be able to tolerate wearing PPE for extended periods of time; prolonged periods of standing; ability to operate machinery
One (1) to Two (2) year prior Milk Tech experience preferred
Strong critical thinking aptitude, written and verbal communication skills, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and basic computer competence
Ability to comprehend simple medical terminology; possess knowledge of aseptic technique
Prior knowledge of Women's and Infants Timeless application preferred

II & III - Coordinates the design, programming, control, installation, back-up, performance tune and maintenance of specialized computer software and hardware used in support of application and control systems. Coordinates the analysis of vendor supplied database systems software along with third party software and determines and/or recommends the optimum configuration for server hardware and application systems. Configures and manages databases subsystems to interact efficiently as part of the overall corporate network. Controls modifications or enhancements of database and third-party software to insure minimum impact on current production and systems under development. Serves as mentor to less experienced IT staff, providing assistance when required and reviewing their work as directed.
ACCOUNTABILITIES All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise 1. Plan, design, test, install/release, and quality assures all database system software as supplied by assigned vendors, meeting agreed upon deadlines, with minimal impact on customers of these systems. Component tasks of this duty include (where applicable) action plan, documentation, change management/communication, system design, software selection, training activities, business continuity, system/project monitoring, data load and/or conversion, and time/status reporting as needed. 2. Contribute recommendations for new standards, procedures, data security controls or other improvements in data processing functions. 3. Responsible for database performance management by monitoring performance and tuning as required, proactively assigning/allocating space to systems and users, developing and supporting structures, and reporting capacity to leadership. 4. Responds to and resolves assigned support calls. Investigates, resolves, and documents incidents on a timely basis. Analyzes post-resolution customer satisfaction. Performs root cause analysis and recommends steps for remediation of identified problems. 5. Coordinates the backup and recovery of all assigned systems and files. This includes onsite and disaster recovery situations. 6. Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of assigned database and third-party software and emerging hardware/software/storage technologies. Also serves as a -technical expert- for other IS staff on database system software/hardware/storage systems operations and management functions. 7. Transfers knowledge and/or trains IT employees and end-users in the operation of their information systems. Maintains complete and current documentation for responsible systems and IT processes. 8. Provides support as required in areas of problem determination and resolution for database and third-party software and hardware. 9. Provides support for on-site and off hour availability on 7/24-hour basis as defined by the needs of the customer and/or technology. 10. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent Skills: Task management and problem-solving skills; strong communication skills; Knowledge of healthcare operations. Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective self-motivation and interpersonal skills. Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer. Must maintain knowledge of current information technology and healthcare trends. Years of Experience: At least 4 additional years healthcare information technology experience; Project leadership experience. License: N/A Certification: Certification as appropriate and progressive knowledge and experience in database administration/design/support, operating systems, network protocols and basic programming.

POSITION SUMMARY Pre-Analytic Technician is a general job description. All Pre-Analytic Techs are required to perform the essential job duties. Additional functions are driven by shift and the functional area the individual is assigned to. ACCOUNTABILITIES All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise 1. Knowledgeable regarding the combinations of tests and the associated acceptable minimum volumes, as well as pre-analytic variables that may affect specimen analysis. Familiar with test synonyms and abbreviations, and cross-referencing tests to specimen types. 2. Utilize the Laboratory and Hospital Information System independently. 3. Maintain established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, and infection control. Comply with requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies by attending mandatory in-services and continuing laboratory education and participating in continuous quality improvement. Maintain and upgrade personal development. 4. Assist in the training and orientation of new employees or students. 5. Notify proper associate or order stocked supplies when supply is low. 6. Follow Standard Safety Precautions. 7. Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers. Diplomatic liaison between nursing units and laboratory. 8. Clean and stock work areas. Complete and log routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and workstations. 9. Follow ProMedica Customer Service guidelines. 10. Must be able to tolerate exposure to disease bearing specimens, blood and body fluids, odorous chemicals, carcinogens, mutagens, low level radiation, electrical hazards, flammable liquids, and dry ice. 11.
