SR. TAX ANALYST, INTERNATIONAL
SpaceX is seeking to add a Sr. Tax Analyst to work on US and local country tax matters for SpaceX subsidiaries throughout the world as we expand our Starlink business in other regions around the world. The Sr. Tax Analyst will be part of the international tax team located in Hawthorne.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data preparation and coordination with external service providers for preparation of both direct and indirect tax returns as well as month-end financial reporting activities
Ensure that existing jurisdictions in which Starlink has operations are compliant with local tax requirements and e-invoicing requirements
Collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams (operations, commercial, legal, customs, treasury, accounting, finance) and other stakeholders to build a strong network across these departments and with external resources to ensure compliance with local legislation
Coordinate tax payments, including monitoring payment dates, calculating correct payment amounts, and ensuring payments are properly recorded in the books
Assist with maintaining tax records, legal agreements, customs, and transfer pricing documentation
Assist with notices/audits received from various taxing authorities
Provide support as needed on ad hoc projects
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of combined tax experience in public accounting and/or large multinational
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or tax
Prior experience at Big 4 accounting firm or multinational companies
Prior experience dealing with e-invoicing environment and VAT
French, Spanish or Portuguese fluency
Data analytics skills, knowledge of OneSource, Alteryx, SQL
Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient in work processes
Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Willingness to work extended hours and weekend when needed to meet critical deadlines
This position is based in Hawthorne, CA and requires being onsite - remote or hybrid work will not be considered

Sr. Tax Analyst: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

SR. SENSOR DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
The Sensor Development team designs, builds and tests innovative sensing solutions that are critical to making life on Mars possible. This Senior Sensor Development Engineer will work with this highly interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to characterize navigation sensors, such as accelerometers and gyroscopes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct characterization testing on navigation sensors such as accelerometers and gyroscopes
Analyze test data and document results
Select test hardware and develop test software
Complete sensor characterization to ensure sensors meet all performance requirements through environments
Document test procedures and results
Conduct component qualification testing
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or physics
5+ years of experience working on inertial sensors
Software development experience in Matlab, Python, or C/C+

INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY OFFICER (ISSO) - TOP SECRET CLEARANCE
SpaceX is looking for an experienced information security professional with broad technical knowledge of information assurance, and a proven track-record of managing the assessment and accreditation of information systems in secure environments. You will be a member of the National Security Team and will have primary responsibility for ensuring the authorization and accreditation for classified systems. You should flourish in a demanding and challenging environment with little direct guidance (other than from the ISSM), but have a high degree of responsibility and accountability. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, self-motivator and possess impeccable integrity to excel at this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the information systems security manager and system administrator for the information system to ensure compliance with government requirements and regulations, including NIST 800-53a and derivatives. Build analyses of these requirements/regulations, as well as updating and assembling the required documentation needed in order to maintain and/or receive an authorization to operate (ATO)
Be a subject matter expert on government accreditation processes in classified spaces. Be the day-to-day person for answering questions on process, timeline, and status of classified assets and then reporting what's required to the information system security manager
Assist in writing policy, procedure, and standards on the proper secure deployment and maintenance of classified information technology systems
Build and maintain relationships with Government customers to keep open lines of communication as systems are built-out and accredited. Respond to requests for information in a thorough and timely manner
-Roll up your sleeves- to accredit, change, and expand the current information systems in support of the program as necessary. Provide technical expertise on the authorization and accreditation process
Report out to internal business owners and executive sponsors on status and timelines - both periodically and as independently requested
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
3+ years of experience serving as an ISSE, ISSO, or ISSM
Security+, GSLC, GSEC, or other DoD approved 8570 Baseline Certification in the Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II categories
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance or active Top Secret clearance with favorable completion of a U.S. Government polygraph pursuant to employment. Note that an active clearance may provide the opportunity for you to work on sensitive SpaceX missions. If so, you will be subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

LAUNCH PAD TECHNICIAN (STARSHIP)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fabricate and install fluid system components from a schematic or engineering drawing, including but not limited to:
Ball valves
Check valves
Pressure regulators
Pressure gauges
Troubleshoot operational issues found during activation of fluid and mechanical systems
Operate heavy machinery including forklifts and aerial platforms

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with and help integrate SpaceX and customer teams to consider all necessary design and implementation trades to ensure end-to-end mission success
Collaborate with engineering, production, and operations to drive readiness of vehicles, spacecraft, cargo, and crew while recognizing how changes impact requirements, vehicle risk, and launch dates
Understand, develop, and summarize technical content on complex designs, trade studies, risks, and issues for internal, customer, and executive audiences
Coordinate and chair customer forums, boards, and reviews to ensure that deliverables are delivered on time and per the customer's expectation
Guide technical development and maintenance of the Dragon and F9 product lines to meet the end objectives of current and future customer contracts and missions
Lead payload integration for customer payloads while working with internal and external stakeholders to develop hardware, software, and processes required to fly unique customer cargo and powered payloads
Relentlessly and creatively drive process improvements that help SpaceX and the Mission Management team serve our customers well (meet contract obligations, fly safely and reliably, and more)
Take ownership over a process with great attention to detail and follow-through to improve it
Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and certify vehicles and systems for missions in order to ensure compliance and verification of all customer requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or science
7+ years of industry experience
5+ years of technical project management experience
5+ years of systems engineering/requirements verification experience
5+ years of experience working hands-on with hardware or software technical projects

HOSPITALITY LEAD - TEMPORARY POSITION
The Hospitality Lead is a leadership role responsible for, but not limited to, staff supervision, oversight of guest services and customer satisfaction, and quality control in one or more of our food service outlets. This individual works directly with Hospitality leadership to properly delegate tasks, monitor the flow of service patterns, improve customer service interactions, and fills in as the key point of contact in the supervisor or manager's absence. They are also responsible for overseeing the dining area upkeep and directly addressing concerns or complaints from the customers in person at the point of order. The lead is able to work all service outlets and has the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, problem solve, and communicate at a high level. The Hospitality Lead supports the mission by upholding friendly, welcoming service environments that enhance the productivity and morale of the workforce while ensuring the staff is performing to departmental and company standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

SR. AERODYNAMICS ENGINEER (STARSHIP)
The Starship Aerodynamics team is responsible for predicting the aerodynamics and aerothermal environments booster and ship experience during all phases of their missions. Aerodynamics engineers use engineering models, simulations and wind-tunnel testing in order to provide the most accurate predictions ahead of flight validation. The team works closely with the GNC (guidance, navigation, and control) team in order to enable them to safely land and recover both Starship stages once their mission is accomplished. Moreover the team supports engineers responsible for vehicle structures during their design efforts. Aerodynamics engineers are expected to have a clear understanding of the flow fields experienced by our vehicles through the various flight regimes, from subsonic through hypersonic, and apply this understanding while they operate our prediction tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare, mesh, run, and post process CFD models
Review post-flight data and compare to pre-flight estimates
Interface with responsible engineers, providing them inputs to their designs and ensuring they have a clear understanding of the physical phenomena they are dealing with
Write code and scripts in a variety of languages, making sure they share common interfaces and can be part of a mostly automated workflow

PCB CHEMICAL LAB TECHNICIAN (STARLINK)
SpaceX is developing a low latency, broadband internet system to meet the needs of consumers across the globe. Enabled by a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites, Starlink will provide fast, reliable internet to populations with little or no connectivity, including those in rural communities and places where existing services are too expensive or unreliable. We are looking for talented, creative, and driven technicians to drive manufacturing output and yield. You will have ownership of one or more process areas and will have the opportunity to directly impact Starlink's products. You will have frequent interaction with engineering teams and leadership and will participate in developing and validating new equipment, processes, and technologies. The success of Starlink depends on the quality, reliability, cost, manufacturability, throughput, security, and user experience of the products that you will manufacture.
As a PCB Chemical Lab Technician, you will be working in a brand new chemical and reliability lab supporting printed circuit board manufacturing in the Starlink factory. This is a versatile and highly skilled, hands on lab role that will involve performing chemical analysis and additions and executing reliability test methods, while meeting goals for output and quality. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an lab setting within an electro-chemical manufacturing environment and is motivated by Starlink's mission to provide high speed, low latency connectivity across the globe.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute test methods and perform chemical analysis to support start-up and sustaining operations of new state of the art PCB production lines.
Work with engineers to develop and document test procedures
Recommend improvements to lab processes and work with engineers to develop, implement, and refine processes with a specific focus on reducing cost and downtime and increasing yield
Provide feedback on failure modes and support engineering to drive root cause of yield limiters
Execute start-up and shutdown procedures for lab equipment
Track schedule for and perform preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment and instruments
Perform first level troubleshooting, provide feedback, and work with maintenance and engineering teams to drive root cause of equipment downtime
Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
Clean chemical processing equipment and tools.
Maintain inventory of consumables
Safely handle chemicals (including transporting and loading) and chemical handling equipment
Collect, segregate, and transport waste from generation points to the hazardous waste storage area
Read, interpret, and follow technical documents
