PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To provide excellent service displaying empathy to callers regarding claims for multiple lines of business, including but not limited to, expediting the claims process, and providing detailed claim notes on all calls, resolving issues with one call/one person response, and directing calls to appropriate escalation path as needed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES MAY INCLUDE

  • Provide excellent customer service to external customers and internal support to an assigned team.

  • Act as a liaison between customers and team members; direct calls to appropriate escalation path as needed.

  • Provide detailed notes on phone calls, and track and code documentation according to standard processes.

  • Educate and inform customers about processes, timelines and status of inquiries via multiple communication channels.

  • Resolve issues with one call/ one-person responses.

  • Investigate customer feedback.

  • Track trends

  • Assist with developing corrective/preventative actions.

  • Perform administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education & Licensing: High school diploma or GED required.

  • Skills: Strong oral and written communication, computer literate - including Microsoft Office, organizational skills required

  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products, Windows environment.

  • Must meet minimum typing requirements.

  • Experience: Clerical or customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Workers Compensation Claims Representative - (Hybrid Schedule)

PRIMARY PURPOSE : To process low level workers compensation claims to determine benefits due; to ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within company standards and industry best practices; and to identify subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements with general supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes low level workers compensation claims determining compensability and benefits due on long term indemnity claims, monitors reserve accuracy, and files necessary documentation with state agency.

  • Develops and coordinates low level workers compensation claims' action plans to resolution, return-to-work efforts, and approves claim payments.

  • Approves and processes assigned claims, determines benefits due, and administers action plan pursuant to the claim or client contract.

  • Administers subrogation of claims and negotiates settlements.

  • Communicates claim action with claimant and client.

  • Ensures claim files are properly documented and claims coding is correct.

  • May process low-level lifetime medical and/or defined period medical claims which include state and physician filings and decisions on appropriate treatments recommended by utilization review.

  • Maintains professional client relationships.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).

  • Travels as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience

Two (2) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience or successful completion of Claims Representative training required.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Developing knowledge of regulations, offsets and deductions, disability duration, medical management practices and Social Security and Medicare application procedure as applicable to line of business

  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills

  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products

  • Analytical and interpretive skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To provide excellent service displaying empathy to callers regarding claims for multiple lines of business, including but not limited to, expediting the claims process, and providing detailed claim notes on all calls, resolving issues with one call/one person response, and directing calls to appropriate escalation path as needed.

Claims Director - Dedicated (MUST RESIDE IN CA)

PRIMARY PURPOSE : To be responsible for the technical and operational functions within assigned office(s) including compliance with company standards and industry best practices; to ensure consistent delivery of quality services including direct operational responsibility of an office in the location where the manager resides; to be responsible for staffing and training needs; and to be responsible for budget preparation and profit and loss management for assigned offices. Claims Director - Dedicated (MUST RESIDE IN CA)

PRIMARY PURPOSE : To be responsible for the technical and operational functions within assigned office(s) including compliance with company standards and industry best practices; to ensure consistent delivery of quality services including direct operational responsibility of an office in the location where the manager resides; to be responsible for staffing and training needs; and to be responsible for budget preparation and profit and loss management for assigned offices. Has direct and/or indirect responsibility for 50-99 colleagues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overall operations management for all assigned locations/offices.

  • Establishes policy and procedures to assure compliance to best practices, claims management services standards, state regulations, and client service requirements.

  • Establishes business plan with goals and objectives for the partnership and locations/offices.

  • Monitors management reports relating to the partner/office performance.

  • Assists with the coordination of sales and client service efforts.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).

  • Travels as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. CPCU, ARM, AIM, and/or AIC certifications preferred. Licenses as required.

Experience

Ten (10) years claims management experience including three (3) years prior supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Claims Examiner - Recovery (MUST RESIDE IN LOUISIANA)

PRIMARY PURPOSE : Analyzes and processes complex claims, works with high exposure claims involving litigation, and ensures ongoing claims within service expectations, industry best practices and specific client service requirements. Identifies and pursues potential third-party subrogation recoveries associated with highest exposure/complexity claims, all lines of business across all jurisdictions.

  • Reviews high exposure, complex multi-jurisdictional claims to establish potential for third party subrogation recovery by investigating and gathering information based on feasibility of recovery analysis and employment of strategies to manage the claim through timely resolution.

  • Provides subrogation guidance and direction to both internal and external stakeholders to maximize recovery efforts in alignment with client, financial and jurisdictional strategy, and guidelines.

  • Develops and pursues third party subrogation, refers assignments to subrogation counsel as dictated by statute or timeline, and discusses any compromised or negotiation of the claimed subrogation interest.

  • Sends appropriate subrogation lien notifications to appropriate parties.

  • Gathers information necessary to support viable subrogation claims; documents claim notes with appropriate information.

  • Provides direction to assigned subrogation counsel.

  • Maintains a diary on active claims with subrogation potential and claims that meet excess reporting criteria; ensures claim files are properly documented and claims coding is correct.

  • Approves and makes timely claim payments relative to subrogation and settles complex/high exposure claims within designated client authority level.

  • Manages claim recoveries, including but not limited to subrogation; secures recovery from responsible parties; enters recovery fees into claims management system.

  • Prepares status reports for clients as required and presents in claims reviews.

  • Provides additional layer subrogation expertise to peers and participates in team preparation for client reviews.

  • Manages the litigation process; ensures timely and cost-effective resolution.

  • Coordinates vendor referrals for additional investigation and/or litigation management.

  • Develops training material and leads department training opportunities.

  • Uses appropriate cost containment techniques, including strategic vendor partnerships, to reduce overall cost of claims for our clients.

Claims Director - Dedicated (MUST RESIDE IN CA)

PRIMARY PURPOSE : To be responsible for the technical and operational functions within assigned office(s) including compliance with company standards and industry best practices; to ensure consistent delivery of quality services including direct operational responsibility of an office in the location where the manager resides; to be responsible for staffing and training needs; and to be responsible for budget preparation and profit and loss management for assigned offices. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To provide excellent service displaying empathy to callers regarding claims for multiple lines of business, including but not limited to, expediting the claims process, and providing detailed claim notes on all calls, resolving issues with one call/one person response, and directing calls to appropriate escalation path as needed.
