Job Summary:

The Distribution Specialist manages the delivery or deployment of contracted services to customers to ensure that SLAs (service level agreements) and KPI (key performance indicators) as defined in the relevant contracts are met or exceeded. Supports business products by collaborating with vendors, customers, and other internal support groups. Responsible for daily facility activities related to government compliance, inbound receipts, kitting, processing orders, procuring suppliers, managing inventory, staffing, facility inspections, employee engagement, development, safety, security, profitability, etc. Performs a variety of financial activities including forecasting, allocations, adjustments and creating annual business plans to meet business unit and corporate initiatives.

This position is responsible for retaining and strengthening customer relationships which may include face to face customer service. Identifies and recommends opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness, and capabilities of the operation. May provide support to field stocking locations (FSL), agent locations across multiple geographies, and support the provider network. May operate powered industrial equipment.

This person provides specific functional expertise that is theoretical and conceptual in nature. This expertise is typically acquired through a combination of university education and experience within a field. May have responsibility for supervising others in the capacity of a -player coach- but primary focus is individual expertise. Applies working knowledge of theories, practices, and/or procedures within job discipline. Broadens capabilities and understanding of the company processes, and customers. Performs mostly routine assignments and resolves common issues by using precedents or seeking guidance. Assesses straightforward problems and proposes solutions based on analysis of factual information, experience, judgment, and precedents. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Shares factual information with other team members. Receives guidance on a regular basis. Entry-level to UPS's professional career track. Typically requires a four-year degree or equivalent experience.

JOB SUMMARY

This position performs general in-person onboarding related tasks such as new hire I-9 validation, collection of local tax and union forms, and compliance related document processing. This position utilizes programs to ensure the seamless integration of candidates into the workforce. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Performs pre-boarding/onboarding activities and programs (e.g., I-9, validate background checks, coordinates scheduling, support biometrics and fingerprinting, etc.)

- Posts, collects, and audits bid list, ensures accurate hiring ratio, performs Driver Qualification Files (DQF; e.g., licensing, background check, schedules road test, drug screening for Feeder drivers, etc.).

- Keeps internal candidate notes on the bid files.

- Coordinates drug screening for drivers

- Assists with Integrad list of drivers for internal drivers

Job Description:

Ground Support Equipment Technician will possess personal knowledge and skills to perform preventative maintenance on Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Will properly diagnose and perform necessary repairs to gas and diesel-powered engines, hydraulic and air brake systems, and electrical systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform daily maintenance and preventive maintenance on all Ground Support Equipment

  • Diagnose problems using test equipment, and applicable manuals. Remove, test, repair or replace components and accessories such as carburetors, governors, air and oil cleaners, ignition components and sensors.

  • Operate and test ground equipment for performance assessment.

  • Document repairs, parts, and labor on the computer.

  • Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders and stairs, stand, walk, and turn/pivot frequently throughout the duration of the workday

  • Report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete the scheduled workday on a consistent basis

  • Ability to work varying shifts, additional hours and/or overtime depending on service needs

  • Sitting required infrequently throughout the duration of the workday

  • Lift, lower, push, pull, leverage, and manipulate equipment and/or packages weighing up to 70 pounds

  • Assist in moving packages or equipment up to 150 pounds

  • Operate standard/manual transmission

  • Operate power, pneumatic tools

  • Required to wear personal protective equipment

  • Work in an environment with variable temperatures and humidity (climatic conditions), exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, dirt, and noise, outside inclement weather

  • Work cooperatively in a diverse work environment

  • Have a sufficient ability to communicate, through sight, hearing, and/or otherwise, to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The starting pay for this position is $ 36.76 per hour with a one-year progression to TOP PAY $ 45.97 . For union-represented postings, wage rates and ranges and benefit offerings are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions.
