Job Description:

The Manager of Data Engineering role is organizationally under Finance & Accounting, within the Decision Support Tower. Particularly, this role will report into the Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics space. This role will support advanced analytics, data science and machine learning projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in data engineering, showcasing expertise in cloud technologies, data architecture, data modeling, data pipeline development, and data governance. This position leads the development of batch and real-time data pipelines utilizing various data analytics processing frameworks in support of data science, advanced analytics, machine learning and AI practices. This position leads and participates in the integration of data from various data sources, both internal and external. This position performs extract, transform, load (ETL), data conversions, and facilitates data cleansing and enrichment. This position leads others and manages projects within the department and supports Leadership by planning and championing the execution of broad advanced analytics initiatives aimed at delivering value to internal and external stakeholders. This position contributes to and supports synthesizing disparate data sources to create reusable and reproducible data assets. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Leads the development and design of the data engineering projects and guides the team to build solutions by leveraging a software/application solution used for statistical modeling and analysis, data warehousing and cloud solutions, and building data pipelines.

- Provides leadership for data engineering projects and data engineering maintenance and support.

- Recommends analytic reporting tools/technologies and leads adoption of emerging technology products and tools.

- Directs integration of data for data engineering projects.

- Leads project efforts with the technology solutions to perform proof of concept (POC) analysis.

- Leads team to provide data warehousing solutions.

- Guides the team to organize the data for reporting, analytics, and data mining.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong background in managing data transformation programs, showcasing expertise in navigating data landscapes, implementing innovative solutions, and driving tangible business outcomes.

- Possess experience in developing and implementing both tactical and strategic solutions, demonstrating the ability to address immediate needs while also contributing to long-term organizational goals with innovative and forward-thinking approaches. - Knowledge of algorithms and data structures and ability to perform data filtering and data optimization. Experience with machine learning packages, such as Tensorflow and Pytorch, and have proven experience in designing / developing AI / ML models

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,600/year to $189,600/year. This position performs aircraft maintenance on UPS fleet to meet or exceed airworthiness standards. Performs the change, removal, replacement, or upgrade of aircraft components to correct failures or implement changes. UPS is currently hiring a Building and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Mechanics. This position is responsible for maintenance activities performed to keep a UPS package handling facility operating efficiently and effectively. . Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing pneumatic equipment such as diverters, lubricators, hoses, and coils

Job Summary

The Feeder On-Road Supervisor is responsible for training UPS Small Package tractor trailer drivers according to company guidelines. He/she monitors performance to ensure drivers are in compliance with UPS and regulatory requirements. This position supervises UPS drivers.

To carry out the primary responsibility of this position, the Feeder On Road Supervisor provides classroom instruction on work methods, government regulations, and the use of applicable driver systems and technology. The Feeder On Road Supervisor also distributes training materials, administers and grades training and compliance tests, and documents drivers' training completion. Another major focus of this position is to monitor UPS driver safety. This individual holds monthly safety meetings, administers monthly safety tests, conducts an annual performance and safety certification ride with each driver, and reviews accident and injury reports.
