As a Senior Customer Service Representative, you'll compassionately deliver an exceptional experience to between 50 to 70 callers per day, always remembering that there is a real person on the other end of the phone who is looking for help, guidance, and support. You'll also provide support to your team members by serving as a resource or subject matter expert. Both of these are opportunities for you to identify and exceed our customer expectations by committing to and building strong relationships internally and externally. At the end, you'll know you performed with integrity and delivered the best customer service experience making all your customers and team members feel better because they talked to you.

This position is full-time (40-hours/week). Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 11:30am - 8:00pm EST, Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 6 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be an 8-hour shift between 9:00am to 5:30pm EST, Monday - Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer a high volume of calls from patients or their representative, regarding patient bill balances, payment plans, credit card payments, patient pricing, re - billing insurance companies and general customer concerns

  • Process adjustments, refunds, transfer bills, mail returns and perform manual sales

  • Evaluate and respond to all aspects of written billing inquiries, including but not limited to: billing insurances, and updating invoices

  • Research, troubleshoot and resolve complex billing issues and customer complaints, taking all steps to resolve and ensure full resolution

  • Maintain tracking log of all escalated patient correspondence, providing status updates to leadership as needed

  • Ability to perform all aspects of billing customer service as needed

  • Thorough navigation of both Quest Billing System and the web

  • Maintain all Compliance and HIPAA regulations at all times

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • Must be 18 years of age OR older

  • 2+ years of customer service experience OR experience in a medical office, health care call-center or office setting analyzing and solving customer problems

  • Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications

  • Ability to train for the first six weeks between Monday - Friday, 09:00AM - 05:30PM EST

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior health care experience

  • Bi-Lingual English/Spanish

  • Medical terminology experience

The Pharmacy Care Coordinator - Care Team Associate (CTA) for Pharmacy Medical Management will effectively support the successful implementation and execution of all Medical Management pharmacy programs and processes. The Sr. Care Team Associate will provide support to the Medical Management pharmacy staff to ensure applicable program processes and operational responsibilities are met. The CTA will prepare Part B medication prior authorization requests for clinical review and will complete prior authorization requests and issue review outcome notifications to providers and members. This position will also provide support in troubleshooting any medication related issues identified by the Medical Management pharmacy staff. This position will also assist with training and orientation of new staff and will serve as a subject matter expert for existing staff to ask questions.

Training: 8 weeks - M-F 8am - 5:30pm CST - ALL ONSITE

Work Schedule: M-F 8hr shift between 9am - 7pm CST w/1 hour lunch along with rotational Saturday shifts (every 8th Saturday); 6 days in office, other days will be remote with more in-office days required based on business needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receives and responds to inquiries from all communication venues: e.g. phone, queue, department e-mail box or fax

  • Acts as a provider help desk specialist to aid providers in submitting prior authorization requests and communicating prior authorization request status

  • Coordinates and assists initial screening of prior authorization requests via all communication venues; as well as administrative preparation for clinical staff

  • Exhibits excellent phone and communication skills while providing complete and accurate information to customers

  • Requests additional or supplemental information via correspondence in order to complete prior authorization requests

  • Completes prior authorizations related to medications in the WellMed prior authorization system according to approved policies and procedures

  • Issues oral and written prior authorization outcome notifications to providers and members that comply with standards and requirements for timeliness, content, and accuracy

  • Triages and resolves claims-related issues related to specialty drugs requiring prior authorization

  • Requests additional review by clinical staff as needed

  • Compiles and reports data for ongoing key performance indicators and summarizes and presents findings to departmental leadership

  • Notifies manager of trends they observe

  • Adheres to assigned schedule and quality metrics

  • Provides clerical and/or administrative support to clinical staff and managers for special studies, projects and reports

  • Provides excellent customer service by serving as a resource to all internal and external customers

  • Attends required meetings and participates in special committees as needed

  • Assists with training and onboarding of Medical Management Pharmacy Care Team Associates

  • May act as a team lead for ad hoc projects and departmental initiatives as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)

  • 1+ years of working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet and e-mail

Preferred Qualifications:
