Working under the direction of the Essential Plan (EP) Sales & Account management and collectively with the Business Development and Community Outreach team, the Sales Account Manager will interface with New York Health Plan to increase marketing synergy and drive overall membership growth. The EP Account Manager is a field-based role that establishes and cultivates strategic business relationships with key sales and market influencers, potential new customers, and related community institutions. The Essential Plan is for New Yorkers between the ages of 19-64. This position requires someone with tenacity to perform sales activities both indoors and outdoors. Function identified will be new Business to Business (B2B) opportunities for the purpose of prospecting and enrolling new Essential Plan eligible including vertical channels (dental, vision, fitness, colleges, trade schools, small businesses, as well as industry sectors identified by your manager) that support EP Growth strategy in key areas in New York. Training on all government programs will be conducted upon hire.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enroll eligible members in UHC Essential Plan

  • Build and foster relationships with key accounts (provider offices, CBOs, housings, etc.)

  • The EP Account Manager presents health plan information to providers, business advocacies, potential eligible and responsible for closing sales

  • Serve as point of contact for member to provide excellent service and enrollment experience

  • Lead pipeline management

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales and enrollment expectations within assigned territory

  • Conduct product information presentations in multiple settings, including in-home consultations

  • Function independently and responsibly with minimal need for supervision

  • Track and measures various sales event effectiveness and activities, events, leads & lead progress, sales, appointments, contacts, and relationship progress daily through internal systems

  • Provide input, support and feedback on promotional opportunities, benefits, and other issues

  • Stay informed on UHC operations, provider network, premiums, member services, claims, explanation of benefits, processes and other services and issues to provide community partners, prospects, and members with accurate information, and provide feedback as appropriate

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities including visiting provider offices on a regular basis and following up on leads in a timely fashion

  • Ability to track a schedule to keep appointments on time and information pertaining to those appointments in timely manner

  • Input consumer demographics and interactions into company systems as appropriate

Required Qualifications:

This position is work at home. Work schedule is full time and offers some flexibility with a combination of day and consumer hours. Some evening, holidays and weekend hours will be required. Core schedule is normal daytime business hours. Three evenings per month will be required to work until 7pm, one weekend day will be required approximately every 3 months, ability to work 5/8's or 4/10's after training based on business need.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Determine that the case is assigned to the appropriate team for review (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial)

  • Validate that cases/requests for services require additional research

  • Identify and utilize appropriate resources to conduct non-clinical research (e.g., benefit documents, evidence of coverage, state/federal mandates, online resources)

  • Prioritize cases based on appropriate criteria (e.g., date of service, urgent, expedited)

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state requirements and mandates (e.g., turnaround times, medical necessity)

  • Review/interpret clinical/medical records submitted from provider (e.g., office records, test results, prior operative reports)

  • Identify missing information from clinical/medical documentation, and request additional medical or clinical documentation as needed (e.g., LOI process, phone/fax)

  • Review and validate diagnostic/procedure/service codes to ensure their relevance and accuracy, as applicable (e.g., PNL list, EPAL list, state grid, LCDs, NCDs)

  • Identify and validate usage of non-standard codes, as necessary (e.g., generic codes)

  • Apply understanding of medical terminology and disease processes to interpret medical/clinical records

  • Make determinations per relevant protocols, as appropriate (e.g., approval, denial process, conduct further clinical or non-clinical research)

  • Review care coordinator assessments and clinical notes, as appropriate

  • Identify relevant information needed to make medical or clinical determinations

  • Identify and utilize medically-accepted resources and systems to conduct clinical research (e.g., clinical notes, MCG, medical

Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent

  • Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 180 days of employment. Medical Assistants who are hired prior to receiving their certification are expected to perform at the same level as a -certified- Medical Assistant

  • Current BLS certification for healthcare providers (written exam and in-person assessment) at time of hire or within 30 days of hire

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Basic computer literacy with intermediate Excel skills

  • Proven ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations

  • Proven good communication and customer service skills

  • This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease

Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:

  • Full-time; 4/10 schedule - 7am to 5pm

  • Call Coverage: Our Optometrist share after-hours call coverage with Ophthalmologists. Call only for consultations and questions; no requirement to come into office.

  • Joining 1 other Optometrist and 1 Ophthalmologist at the Arlington clinic. The Department combined at all locations consists of 6 Optometrists, 7 Ophthalmologists. Our team encompasses retina, cornea, glaucoma, and oculoplastic subspecialists.

  • Average 24 - 26 patients per day

  • Supported by an Optometric Assistant

  • Collegial group practice with a large referral base

  • Work closely with our own Ophthalmology physicians

  • Epic EMR; Microsoft Suite

  • New clinic as of April 2023; new OCT equipment, visual field machine, with more equipment panned.

Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $151,259 to $198,029 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. The Telecommunications Analyst will perform operational duties to support OptumServe's telephony network, including but not limited to multiple VoIP PBX phone systems, Contact Center applications, Voice Mail, routing of calls, IVR scripts, analog lines, call accounting and call recording. This role will work on Contact Center and Enterprise Voice Telecommunication services with duties that include implementation, support and technical analysis of hardware, software or networks.
