A Style Consultant is passionate about strong operations and providing an incredible guest experience, that brings the energy of style to life with compelling in-store presentations that enable quick and easy self-discovery. Style Consultants are welcoming and helpful in meeting guests needs on the sales floor and in the fitting room. Ensuring the floor is set full with the right product, accurately priced and signed on the salesfloor with the right sizes, styles, and colors. Areas include A&A, Home and baby.

Our GUEST service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest first culture across the store
Retail business fundamentals including: department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies and basic visual merchandising
Industry trends including: style, seasonality, and brand differentiation
Set, fill, and price the floor according to what is most important to the guest
As a Style Consultant, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact. Follow body language and verbal clues to tailor your approach
Gain knowledge from store tools to have a clear understanding of key metrics, sales goals, top and bottom departments, inventory levels, top shortage categories, guest traffic and peak times
Ensure product availability by keeping the salesfloor replenished and organized to create a guest ready, easy-to-shop experience that's welcoming and inspiring for all
Create an inviting shopping environment by staying current on trends and brand guides along with executing visual standards and visual merchandising guides,
Maintain and use the fitting rooms to welcome, inspire and influence guests and as an opportunity to provide personalized recommendations to complete their look
Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
Acknowledge guests as you complete workload with minimal guest disruption, review sales trends to understand how to prioritize daily workload based on business and guest needs
Support changes to product assortment and keep the area inspiring to guests all year round by setting transitions on time, remerchandising new product and maintaining a brand space following new sets
Be an expert and dedicated owner of assigned areas to ensure sales floor is zoned, in stock and accurately signed for guests
Ensure regular and promotional signing is set accurately for defined categories and be knowledgeable of products on promotion
Execute revisions, sales plans, planograms and Visual Merchandise Guide (VMG)s for defined categories
Accurately execute backroom fills, inclusive of replenishment needs and guest requests
Own and maintain organization of backroom aisles per standards , inclusive of backstock and locating items for your areas
Prioritize guest interaction and engagement while balancing task
Solve for guest needs, using available tools like myCheckout or the Target App to consistently offer selections that are not available in store
Thank the guest in a genuine way and let them know we're happy they chose to shop at Target. Remind them that you are here to help in the future.
Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
Work in a safe manner at all times to benefit yourself and others; identify and correct hazards; comply with all safety policies and best practices.

ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand TM and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those that are looking for a personalized work schedule.
As an On-Demand TM you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but rather will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via our myTime mobile scheduling app) that work best with your schedule.
We require your active engagement by picking up and working shifts as well as responding to our attempts at contact.
We will contact you throughout the year (via your provided contact information) and confirm your interest in working shifts at Target. If we do not receive a response to our communication attempts, your employment with Target will be administratively terminated.
Regular attendance is necessary and we require your active engagement by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility can be granted if you are unable to work once every 4 weeks due to a personal circumstance, but you are required to respond to our attempts to contact you to confirm your interest in working shifts at Target. You must work at least one shift within 6 months or you will be administratively terminated. Effective December 2024, you must work at least one shift within 5 months or you will be administratively terminated.
Your communication and ability to work when our business demands it most are critical to your success in this role.
Should you be offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule to ensure you are properly prepared for your new role. After that, the myTime mobile scheduling app is where you can pick up the shifts you desire to work.
ALL ABOUT SMALL FORMATS
We enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is in stock, available, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor in our smallest format stores. Experts of service, operations, process and efficiency, this team is responsible for being proficient in all areas of the store to complete duties such as, but not limited to, cashiering, stocking, presentation and price accuracy. You'll provide exceptional guest service, customizing each experience and anticipating guest needs.
At Target , we believe in our team members having meaningful experiences that help them build and develop skills for a career. The role of a Small Format Team Member can provide you with the:
Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest first culture across the store
Experience in retail business fundamentalsincluding: department sales trends, pricing and promotion strategies, inventory management, andprocess efficiency & improvement
Experience supporting daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

Conduct weekly price change workload and ensure regular and promotional signing is set accurately for all departments
Complete scans and system audit functions to ensure inventory accuracy
Support execution of major transitions and ISM
Maintain interior and exterior brand, including emptying garbage cans and attending to restroom cleanliness, collecting carts, charging electronic carts, RVM maintenance (if applicable) and attending to spills throughout the store as needed.
Accurately execute all pulls (i.e., daily Fills, out of stock, manual and guest requests) and backstock product from all departments
Process all inbound deliveries (using the receive application) to ensure inventory accuracy
Complete all backroom weekly audits
Operate power equipment only if certified
Maintain backroom organization and location accuracy and follow equipment guidelines
Follow processes accurately with attention to detail, monitor own progress and accurately prioritize tasks

If we do not receive a response your employment with Target will be administratively terminated. Complete scans and system audit functions to ensure inventory accuracy
Support execution of major transitions and ISM
Maintain interior and exterior brand, including emptying garbage cans and attending to restroom cleanliness, collecting carts, charging electronic carts, RVM maintenance (if applicable) and attending to spills throughout the store as needed.
Accurately execute all pulls (i.e., daily Fills, out of stock, manual and guest requests) and backstock product from all departments
Process all inbound deliveries (using the receive application) to ensure inventory accuracy
Complete all backroom daily and weekly audits
Operate power equipment only if certified
Maintain backroom organization and location accuracy and follow equipment guidelines
Follow processes accurately with attention to detail, monitor own progress and accurately prioritize tasks

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand TM and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those that are looking for a personalized work schedule.
As an On-Demand TM you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but rather will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via our myTime mobile scheduling app) that work best with your schedule.

Be knowledgeable of GM areas to ensure sales floor is zoned, in stock and accurately signed and priced for guests
Acknowledge guests as you complete workload with minimal guest disruption; partner with leadership to prioritize daily workload based on business and guest needs
Ensure regular and promotional signing is set accurately for GM categories and be knowledgeable of products in the ad
Execute inbound, replenishment, backroom and signing processes for GM areas
Execute processes including pricing, presentation sets, and inventory accuracy as directed by your leader for all areas
Understand how operational procedures, like planogram (POG) ties, product capacities and salesfloor quantities impact shortage, profitability, in store replenishment and inventory accuracy
Operate power equipment only if certified
Follow processes accurately with attention to detail, monitor own progress
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
Work in a safe manner at all times to benefit yourself and others; identify and correct hazards; comply with all safety policies and best practices
Support guest services such as back-up cashier, and digital fulfillment processes and maintain compliance culture while executing those duties, such as federal, state, and local adult beverage laws

As a Service Advocate, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact. Follow body language and verbal clues to tailor your approach

Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service, accuracy, and quality
Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
Understand and show guests how to use Wallet and the other features and offerings within the Target App
Be familiar with all fulfillment services, and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate and use them
Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with immediate Leaders as needed to help solve for the guest while following Targets policies and procedures
Partnering with Leaders as needed to de-escalating any negative situations and recover the guest shopping experience while following Target's policies and procedures
Deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
Maintain a clean, clutter free work area (including gathering abandoned items, baskets, and hangers)
Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest
