• Consistently provide excellent guest service, which includes:

• Engaging with our guests to learn their wants and needs so that you can help them create their meal solution

• Maintaining knowledge of products and weekly ad items throughout the store and work across departments to assist guests

• Ensure excellent product is ready for our guests by inspecting our store products for proper rotation, cleaning, sanitation procedures, completing reports as necessary

• Create a hospitable shopping experience by merchandising and stocking our products and specialty items throughout the day, while also making sure nearby guests are assisted

• Follow all The Fresh Market standards, policies and protocols

• Present self in a professional manner, including adhering to uniform standards

• Clean guest bathrooms by washing, rinsing, sanitizing all equipment, and washing floors

• Gather shopping carts from parking lot and assist in general housekeeping duties throughout the store

To meet the needs of our stores, guests, and teams, this position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

At a minimum, what you'll need

• A passion for providing extraordinary service

• At least 16 years of age

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the retail, restaurant, or hospitality industries

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical and Work Conditions:

• Repetitive hand/arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching, ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds by oneself, exposure to extreme temperatures

• Ability to use tools equipment: knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment (unless under the age of 18)

• Required to spend long periods of time on feet and stand or walk without a break (for up to 4 hours or as required by law)

Are you known for your attention to detail? Are you a good multitasker? As our Scanning Specialist, you will ensure accurate pricing and signage throughout the store at a fast pace. As part of The Fresh Market team, you will assist in providing excellent guest service. These duties are vital to The Fresh Market's functionality each day and the ability of the store to deliver results.

• Create guest confidence by ensuring accurate pricing throughout the store, including daily, weekly, and specialty ad changes

• Conduct scheduled and random price audits to ensure accurate pricing for our guests

• Manage Produce ID Training Program for the front-end to ensure accurate scanning and pricing of produce for guests

• As part of the guest focused store team, operate a cash register during peak business, and assist with other areas of the store when needed

• Monitor temperature of cases, spill overs, ovens and storage areas and report any failures

• Inspect and store products to ensure quality in cleaning, sanitation procedures; track date and rotation of products, completing reports as necessary

• Ensure department adherence to all safety requirements and protocols, including food safety, per TFM policies, and per law

To meet the needs of our stores, guests, and teams, this position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

At a minimum, what you'll need:

• 3 plus years of experience in either the retail, restaurant, or hospitality field

Do you have experience in meat cutting? Are you committed to delivering a first-class experience for guests? If so, this may be the perfect job for you. As our Meat Cutter, you will manage, cut and trim meat and seafood according to The Fresh Market standards and as requested by our Guests. You will also assist with department inventory, pricing integrity, merchandising, and other operational processes to provide the best product and excellent service at the right time for our guests and to drive sales.

• Maintain knowledge of products/weekly ad items throughout the store and work across departments to assist guests in finding products and complete meal solutions

• Handle, slice, expertly cut and trim a variety of the department's prime and premium meat and seafood products, and items for our convenient meal solutions throughout the day, while also managing quality product levels as indicated within TFM standards

• Monitor temperature of cases, spill overs, and storage areas

• Enforce and follow department practices regarding receiving, stocking, and the unloading deliveries of product to ensure freshness and quality; including but not limited to case, coolers, freezers, and sales floor

The Private Label Category Manager works in support of the Directors and Category Managers across departments in a collaborative effort to grow The Fresh Market private label portfolio. The PLCM manages multiple product development projects simultaneously. Each project will have differing timelines based on each particular product's 'to shelf' or launch date/ Department reset. Activities in any given project can include:

+ + Product Development Opportunity - identify new product opportunities for development by keeping abreast of trends in the branded sectors and through category reviews, line extensions, SPINS data, and competition checks.

• Manages multiple project teams and broad product scope

• Product testing - test products before a sensory panel and stake holders to determine viability for development

• Vendor Vetting - review vendor credentials to determine if all certifications are current and in compliance with TFM standards

• Manage supply chain efficiencies with vendors and distribution partners around forecasting, timeliness of POs, and improving in-stock position

• Manages all import vendors and consolidation of imports to maximize freight efficiencies and timeline efficiencies.

• Analyze and develop improvement processes and systems in Private Label

• Bid Process / Bid Review / Cost Negotiations - request bids from vendors and present analysis to stakeholders

• Business case analysis - provide stakeholders with profit and loss information based on how the new product may affect the business (i.e. category level, item level, retail comps, etc.)

• Contractual negotiations with vendors

• Creative Brief and ideation for label design/development

• Oversight of product into distribution centers - communicate lead time, minimum order acceptable, proper palletization

• Product Launch - work with marketing teams to provide information such as product availability, attributes, images, promotional pricing, and placement in marketing materials

• Oversees product development process with ACM's & tracking progress

• Lead weekly process/status/updates for all products in development. The development process is lengthy and requires cross collaborations between numerous departments within The Fresh Market in addition to communications with outside vendors and organizations such as design and production firms, vendor's legal, QA, marketing teams and printers, as well as supply chain and logistics.

At a minimum, you will need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

• 5+ years in private label food development/management

• Knowledge of FDA/NLEA Food & Labeling guidelines

• Contract negotiation experience

• Strong merchandising, product and marketing skills

• Strong ability to identify global issues and communicate within the organization

• Demonstrate strong analytical, negotiating and problem-solving skills

• Ability develop/maintain strong working relationship with peers and cross-functional teams

• Demonstrates leadership and decision-making skills

• Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills

• Willing and able to travel for trade shows and store trips
