Your Impact
Supporting the Project Manager in tendering works, bid reviews and bid analysis.

Maintaining a weekly construction log in a terse, professional format..

Change order control, including detailed knowledge of change and contractual requirements.
Job safety, monitoring, and compliance with WSP and USPS's safety, health and environmental (SH&E) requirements
Project start-up meetings and documentation and attendance in meetings including safety program.
Manage and assist in responding to RFI's, material and equipment submittals and shop drawings.

Equipment and systems testing and commissioning.
Field assignments are local and regional depending on technical capabilities and desire to travel. Overnight travel is estimated to be up to 100%.
Implementation of standards in compliance with USPS/WSP program requirements and seeks guidance and direction from Sr. construction managers in the planning, execution, and delivery of similar project requirements.
Possess knowledge of construction processes.
Demonstrate construction management skills in the management of integration/coordination of project elements, scope management, time management, cost management, quality assurance, managing changes in priorities and communication management in the generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and ultimate disposition of project information.
Ensure that projects are successfully completed on schedule, within the approved budget and in accordance with applicable quality standards and contract requirements.
Fully vetted in OSHA 29 CFR 1926 (10-hour certification) for compliance with all USPS/WSP applicable Environmental, Health and Safety requirements in the performance of the projects.
Clear and precise record keeping meeting contract requirements and regulatory requirements.
Types of buildings worked with include, but are not limited to offices, light industrial facilities, maintenance facilities.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Experience working with outside 3rd party vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
Minimum of 7 years of experience and demonstrated success with construction management or related disciplines.
Ability to self-motivate with an entrepreneurial spirit. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, MS Project. Familiar with Blue-Beam, AutoCAD, and project management software such as Procore a plus, but not required (candidate must be willing to learn software as applicable).
Experience working with direct and indirect resources, minimum of 5+ years acting in a construction management capacity or supervisory role on light industrial or commercial projects.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of environmental, safety and health regulatory compliance. Negotiation and construction management experience/skills.
Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Our Transportation Team is seeking a Full-Time Traffic Engineering Intern to work out of our Miami, FL office. The following locations will also be considered: Orlando, Tampa, Tallahassee, and Sunrise. This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program.
This internship will be part of the WSP Summer Internship Program. As a summer intern, you have the opportunity to participate in our 12-week program scheduled to start on May 19th, 2025. The individual start date of the internship may be flexible.
Your Impact
- Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
- Learn basic principles of Traffic Engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
- Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.

Provides technical assistance and guidance for due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, permitting, improvement, and construction of infrastructure projects and systems in the public and private sector. Our Texas Water team is seeking a Full-Time Water Resources Engineering Intern to work out of our Dallas, TX office. This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program.
This internship will be part of the WSP Summer Internship Program. As a summer intern, you have the opportunity to participate in our 12-week program scheduled to start on May 19th, 2025. The individual start date of the internship may be flexible.
Your Impact
Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
Learn basic principles of Water Resources Engineering.
Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
Complete training on assigned tasks.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Actively enrolled in an accredited Water Resources Engineering or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2025 or later.
Must be 18 or older.
Demonstrated interest in Water Resources Engineering or related field and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP's work and projects.
Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects.
Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship
Preferred Qualifications
Actively enrolled in an accredited Water Resources Engineering or related Masters or PhD program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2025 or later.
Experience using MicroStation, ArcGIS, Hydraulic Calculations, HECHMS, HECRAS, Geopak, ORD-Drainage or Bluebeam Software.
Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus.

This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Consultant, Civil Highway Engineer for our Atlanta, GA Transportation team. The WSP Atlanta office serves clients from around the state on a wide variety of projects ranging from turn lanes and widening, roundabouts, intersection improvements and bridge replacements to urban interchange reconstructions and large design-build projects. The selected candidate will lead design on GDOT projects on a regular basis, so experience with GDOT projects is beneficial. This position is an excellent opportunity to continue to enhance design and production skills and build relationships within WSP as well as with a large number of clients around the state.
The Senior Consultant, Civil Highway Engineer should have experience in design of highway, roadway geometric design, roadway plan production, drainage design and/or traditional delivery and alternative delivery projects. Responsibilities include design and plan production and first steps into deputy project management roles. This role will be a key contributor in assisting in daily activities and mentoring of our Civil/Highway group.
Your Impact
Lead project tasks for conceptual and preliminary engineering and final design activities, as well as development of construction plans, calculations and specifications.
Coordinate with other design disciplines such as structures, hydraulics, traffic, environmental, and utilities, etc.
Participate hands-on in the preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E).
Assist with the development of complex layouts, sketches, plans, specifications and estimates standards and guidelines, correspondence, and/or prepare reports.
Use engineering skills to design horizontal and vertical geometry, 3D corridor modeling, drainage and erosion control, and prepare cost estimates.
Mentor associates and interns through buddy program designed to enrich leadership skills while growing new talent.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering
5 to 7 years of relevant post education experience in engineering discipline and prior civil design experience.
Engineer in Training Certification.
Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.
Experience with design teams on GDOT and municipal projects (highway, roadway geometric design, roadway plan production, and drainage design).
Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, work independently, and comply with company policies.
Proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, technology, math principles, spreadsheets, and tools.
Experience with discipline-specific design software (i.e., MicroStation, OpenRoads)
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to apply technical knowledge to reach conclusions from testing results, data collation, statistical analysis and arriving at the most effective, economical, and logical solution.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
