Senior Coordinator, Help Desk - NYC - WSP USA

Job Description

WSP wishes to be a leader in the quality of IT service offered to its employees by providing them a varied but unified support structure consisting of a remote service desk, a self-service portal, and an onsite support team whose main mission is to independently resolve IT needs directly in the workplace. As an Onsite Support Technician, you will be an empathetic problem-solver on the frontlines of WSP's business, enabling our employees with direct IT support.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage, prioritize and respond to IT incidents and requests, at your assigned office and during regular visits to offices in the region where you are located.

  • Manage and maintain a regular travel schedule for offices in your assigned region.

  • Perform Change Management activities and model effective behaviors to train employees on best practices in regard to workplace technologies.

  • Escalate and collaborate effectively with remote teams and third-party vendors to resolve priority employee needs.

  • Identify, analyze, specify, and document recurring problems, make recommendations for corrective measures, and participate in the prescribed implementation and communication plans.

  • Collaborate with specialized support teams to ensure the resolution of complex problems and the maintenance of technical equipment.

  • Develop collaborative and trusted relationships with office leaders to partner in their business strategy, better understand their IT challenges, and work to address these needs effectively.

  • Participate in office deployment, relocation, renovation, and infrastructure refresh projects.

  • Lead, monitor, and report the resolution of problems related to shared IT services

  • Troubleshoot, prepare, or replace computer workstations as needed.

  • Maintain the inventory of IT assets in the configuration management database rigorously.

  • Remotely resolve IT incidents effectively from assigned offices if not scheduled to be onsite.

  • Lead or participate in computer and technology performance testing, reporting, and documentation.

  • Contribute to the documentation of IT incident resolution process improvement.

  • Participate in the development of long-term strategies and planning for the future needs of IT services.

This Opportunity

WSP USA hosts hundreds of interns across the United States to gain hands-on, meaningful work experience to enhance their education and professional aptitude. Our interns gain exposure to real projects while working side by side with senior staff. Through our Developing Professionals Network, interns gain mentorship, networking opportunities and lifelong career connections.

Our Power & Energy Major Programs Substations Team is seeking a Full-Time Electrical Engineering Intern to work out of our New York, NY office. This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program.

This internship will be part of the WSP Summer Internship Program. As a summer intern, you have the opportunity to participate in our 12-week program scheduled to start on May 19th, 2025. The individual start date of the internship may be flexible.

Your Impact

  • Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.

  • Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.

  • Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.

  • Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.

  • Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.

  • Complete training on assigned tasks.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

This Opportunity

WSP USA is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Mountain Pacific Strategic Growth Team. This key position works closely with business leadership to develop, execute, and monitor the marketing strategy for Arizona and New Mexico, aiming to achieve marketing and sales performance goals.

The Marketing Manager will collaborate with staff across vertical and horizontal markets, including Transportation, Water, Construction Management, Planning, Advisory, Power and Energy, and Property and Buildings.

We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills, local industry knowledge, and the ability to lead a marketing program for a large engineering team (100+). The ideal candidate should be energetic, motivated, and a self-starter with a growth mindset. Responsibilities include developing strategic marketing plans; supporting client account and pursuit teams; leading pursuit, bid, and proposal efforts; and managing other marketing professionals.

This position is open to individuals who are eager to grow into the role and develop their skills further. The Marketing Manager will oversee our strategic marketing efforts in Arizona and New Mexico, lead the proposal process, support our fast-paced workflow, and bring creativity and persuasive storytelling to the role. Experience in the AEC or professional services industries is preferred, but a collaborative, can-do attitude is essential.

Your Impact

  • Collaborate with business leaders to drive WSP's marketing and sales process for must-win projects. Review pursuit portfolios and delegate or lead pursuit development.

  • Support client account teams in developing client-focused strategies and action plans to enhance WSP's visibility and reputation, understand WSP's position with clients, and solicit feedback on existing work.

  • Lead and support pursuit teams in developing strategies and managing pursuits through pre-RFP, proposal, and interview phases. Develop key sales messages, themes, and differentiators. Oversee pursuit teams and monitor progress and readiness scores.

  • Coach and lead presentation teams, facilitate interview strategy meetings, provide feedback to presenters, and prepare teams for Q&A.

  • Work with minimal oversight, demonstrating strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.

  • Oversee the area's proposal workload, prioritize assignments, monitor proposal team progress and quality, and take corrective action when necessary.

  • Supervise marketing consultants and indirectly supervise graphic designers.

  • Adhere to WSP's high standards for ethical behavior and quality in all marketing activities.

  • Participate in professional development activities (e.g., SMPS, WTS) to enhance business acumen and industry relationships.

  • Coordinate WSP's visibility and participation in local industry events, professional organization meetings, conferences, and civic engagement activities.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the AEC industry preferred.

  • 2 years of experience supervising staff, including performance reviews, mentorship, and training.

Technical Skills

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills (oral and written).

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of successful experience proposing on, negotiating fee proposals, and delivering Architectural & Engineering (AE) planning, design, and AE construction-phase oversight services on projects under U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) IDIQ contracts (more favorable if such experience is for NAVFAC IDIQs).

  • 5+ years' experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering/architectural teams.

  • Professional registration US licensed Architect or Engineer.

  • Works with WSP Federal Programs District Lead for Business Plan Forecast, ensuring that Project ETCs are forecasted accurate.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, Architecture or related degree.

  • 15+ years of successful experience proposing on, negotiating fee proposals, and delivering Architectural & Engineering (AE) planning, design, and AE construction-phase oversight services on projects under U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) IDIQ contracts (more favorable if such experience is for NAVFAC IDIQs).

  • 5+ years' experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering/architectural teams.

  • Professional registration US licensed Architect or Engineer.

  • Ability to obtain a US Government issued Secret level Security Clearance.
