Bay Disposal is looking for a High Energy Customer Service Representative to join the team at our Hauling location in Norfolk, VA.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes & demonstrate the ability to become proficient in the use of proprietary operational systems.

• Interviews customers and records interview information into computer for customer service, talks with customers by phone and in person, to receive orders for installation, turn on, discontinuance, or change in service.

• Fills out contract forms, determines charges for service requested, collects deposits, prepares change of address records and issues discontinuance orders.

• Demonstrate effective use of software applications, at a minimum MS Word and Excel proficient.

• Delivers services to customers in a manner that promotes goodwill. Interacts with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine service requirements and resolve problems or complaints.

• Work in a fast paced, cooperative, high call volume environment. Solicit sale of new or additional services.

• A typical schedule for this position is 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Work environment is an office setting. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lighted. Our Customer Service Reps normally have their own workstation or cubicle space and are equipped with a telephone, headset, and computer.

• CSR call areas can be noisy and work may be repetitious and stressful, with little time in between calls, while still providing excellent service. Some calls are evaluated to ensure high standards.

• Also, long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen are common.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• This is an advanced customer service role. Minimum 2 years of Customer Service experience in a high call volume atmosphere required.

• Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Email required . Typing and 10-key skills are required.

• Excellent organization and communication skills.

• This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills.

• This position requires ability to read and comprehend technical manuals.

• Bilingual preferred.

• Ability to analyze and solve problems. Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

Job Description

Waste Connections has an immediate position available for a CDL Front Load Driver to support local routes in Knoxville, TN . If you are interested in secure, steady employment in a family atmosphere you are encouraged to apply.

Start time: 3:00 am averaging 10 hours a day, 50 hours a week.

Pay: $27.50 an hour, overtime after 40 hours.

Responsibilities include:

• Performs complete pre-trip inspection including, but not limited to, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls.

• Drives heavy diesel truck to and from customer locations and disposal area(s).

• Moves waste bin to position accessible by truck and closes all enclosure gates, as necessary.

• Operates hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.

• Cleans waste from the packer blade and truck body on each landfill or transfer station run.

• Courteous interaction with customers, dispatchers and supervisors.

• Cleans up the area around accidental waste spills.

• Reads route sheets to determine day's schedule and services each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by dispatcher or supervisor.

• Completes required route/productivity sheets, Vehicle Condition Reports (VCRs) and other forms.

• Performs all driver check-in procedures upon returning to the facility at the end of the day.

• Follows all safety policies and procedures.

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement

• As verified by a current MVR/driver abstract, must meet all qualifications as defined under DOT regulation 49 CFR 383.51

• Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification

• Have knowledge of truck components in order to complete pre-and post-trip inspection

• Possess a clean safety and driving record

• Be able to learn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service

Waste Connections of Kentucky is looking for a safety conscious Container Delivery Driver to join the team at our location in Lily, KY .

In this position, you will be operating a truck on a specified route. Primarily delivering, repairing, swapping out, washing cans, and occasionally slinging on the back of a garbage truck. This is a very physical job working outside in all weather conditions, requiring regular heavy lifting and climbing in and out of the truck.

A Day in the Life of a Site Manager:

- Assign and supervise work crews operating solid waste collection equipment.

- Monitors progress of daily operations, and reassigns employees and makes staffing changes as necessary.

- Helps develop and execute safety goals.

- Conducts field inspections and audits of all site personnel to ensure proper work procedures.

- Receives and reviews customer complaints regarding collection programs.

- Performs reviews and performance management discussions.

- Formulates both short-term and long-term goals and action plans for the Hauling Company.

- Oversees a variety of complex compliance programs, including environmental, OSHA, and local permitting.

Must Have:

- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred

- 3+ years of managing in a dynamic, people driven environment

- Have a minimum of a Class B CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days

- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

- Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities

- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and related business systems

$2,500 STAY ON BONUS
