We are looking for a safety conscious Equipment Operator to join the team in Cleveland, TN .
In this position you will be operating equipment such as bulldozers, wheel loaders, excavators, and off road dump trucks. You will be responsible for routine inspection and maintenance on the equipment such as checking oil, water, and tires.
This is a physical job working outside in all weather conditions.
Monday-Friday day shift starting around 6:30am, with occasional Saturdays.

Waste Connections is looking for a Gas Technician Trainee to join our team at our JED Landfill located in St. Cloud, FL.
Pay Range: $20-$30+/hr. DOE + $5000 stay on bonus
Responsibilities include:
Perform routine system inspections and repairs on the landfill.
Work with Lead Landfill Gas Technician to ensure compliance.
Maintain relationships with landfill employees as well as consultants and vendors.
Using gas analyzer to monitor gas wells and probes.
Performing maintenance on pneumatic pumps, including the removal of pumps in wells, inspections, and repairs.
Monitoring the amount of liquid in gas wells.
HDPE pipe fusion.
Position Requirements:
Ability to follow established procedures with minimal amount of direct supervision.
Ability to be coachable and learn how to navigate the landfill in a safe manner.
Work outdoors for most of the day.
Maintain a good attitude and a hard work ethic.
Be willing to perform a variety of tasks on any given day.
Provide on-call response to gas collection system.
Experience operating hand and power tools.
Ability to handle objects up to 50 lbs.
Ability to collect data, interpret data and draw valid conclusions.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for developing and implementing procedures and systems for personnel to operate in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
Creates and monitors budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving profit, processes and return on investment. Develops short-term and long-term goals and action plans in conjunction with the Regional Vice President.
Establishes and maintains performance targets, objectives and standards for each service activity at the site.
Has full P&L and capital responsibility for the site.
Participates in regular P&L reviews to ensure budgets are met; develops and implements programs for optimal equipment utilization, equipment maintenance, and labor and material costs.
Oversees personnel needs of the site including selecting, coaching, disciplining and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation and promotion decisions.
Partners with local city, municipal and county agencies to ensure WCI is providing top notch customer service, and identifies ways to improve services. Works with municipalities to renew contracts, negotiate new contracts.
Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, DOT, OSHA and other standards and regulations.
Ensures that safe, reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.
Responsible for compliance to applicable environmental laws and regulations.
Has overall responsibility for facility maintenance.
Defines and implements market strategy.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree; advanced degrees preferred
three+ years management level experience in the transportation or waste industry is preferred
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of waste hauling operating procedures
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA guidelines
Work Environment:
Travels regularly to customer or other company locations
Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves, dirt, odor, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often

Essential Functions:
Responsible for developing and implementing procedures and systems for personnel to operate in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
Creates and monitors budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving profit, processes and return on investment. Develops short-term and long-term goals and action plans in conjunction with the Regional Vice President.
Establishes and maintains performance targets, objectives and standards for each service activity at the site.
Has full P&L and capital responsibility for the site.
Participates in regular P&L reviews to ensure budgets are met; develops and implements programs for optimal equipment utilization, equipment maintenance, and labor and material costs.
Oversees personnel needs of the site including selecting, coaching, disciplining and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation and promotion decisions.
Partners with local city, municipal and county agencies to ensure WCI is providing top notch customer service, and identifies ways to improve services. Works with municipalities to renew contracts, negotiate new contracts.
Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, DOT, OSHA and other standards and regulations.
Ensures that safe, reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.
Responsible for compliance to applicable environmental laws and regulations.
Has overall responsibility for facility maintenance.
Defines and implements market strategy.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree; advanced degrees preferred
three+ years management level experience in the transportation or waste industry is preferred
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of waste hauling operating procedures
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA guidelines
Work Environment:
Travels regularly to customer or other company locations
Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves, dirt, odor, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often

POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel trucks including front-end loader, roll off, rear load, trailers and other support vehicles. We are looking for experience with Mack, Heil & McNelius systems.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.
Diagnoses mechanical problems on suspension, brake system, electrical system, and hydraulic system.
Performs repairs and maintenance on CNG, diesel and/or gasoline trucks including front-end loader, roll off, and rear load, plus other support vehicles. Repairs include, but are not limited to, hydraulic systems, brake systems, electrical systems, suspension systems, wheels, and tires.
Reads and interprets VCRs (vehicle condition reports) and/or repair orders.
Completes electronic repair orders in our maintenance program associated with repairing vehicles and documenting parts usage.
Makes emergency road calls to repair trucks.
Diagnoses mechanical problems using diagnostic software, technical manuals and expertise.
Follows all safety policies and procedures; participates in all required safety training and meetings.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:
Required:
Either (1) high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 2 years of related truck or heavy equipment maintenance.
Valid driver license.
Preferred:
Trade school certificate
Certificate in electronic diagnostics
ASE certificate(s)
Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience
Experience with Mach, Heil and McNelius systems
Class B CDL
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and other applicable health and safety standards.
Dependability - Shows up for work on time and adheres to the established work schedule.
Safety Orientation - Follows Groot Industries safety rules and procedures and sets an example for safe work behavior. Does not take inappropriate risks.
Troubleshooting - Diagnoses existing problems and predicts potential problems. Determines root causes of failures and chooses the best repair option.
ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC WORKING CONDITIONS:
The following environmental/atmospheric working conditions are commonly, but not always, associated with the performance of this position. The actual working conditions will vary.
Shop environment including, but not limited to, machines, tools, heavy equipment, chemicals, solvents, dust, and fumes.
Occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions and loud noises
Frequently lift / carry up to 50 pounds.

Scott Waste Services / Waste Connections is currently looking for a safety conscious Operations Supervisor to join our team at our site in Bowling Green, KY!
In this position you will be responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and ensuring the safety of our garbage truck drivers. You will also be trained and mentored in the waste business to prepare you for future management opportunities in our growing company.
Responsibilities:
Assigns and supervises work crews operating solid waste collection equipment
Monitors progress of daily operations, and reassigns employees and makes route changes as necessary
Conducts safety meetings and audits
Maintains employee files
Responsible for Dispatch Department
Issues progressive disciplinary action as necessary
Conducts field inspections of route crews to ensure proper work procedures
Receives and reviews customer complaints regarding collection programs
Performs quarterly reviews of all drivers
Others duties as assigned
Requirements : Qualified applicants will meet the following minimum requirements:
2+ years prior Supervisory experience; waste industry preferred
Commercial CDL or the ability to obtain one in the future
Prior Logistics or Route Supervision experience helpful.
4 year degree preferred
Must be willing and able to relocate for future promotional opportunities.

Work orders
Other job duties as assigned
Experience in Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
