Waste Connections, Inc. has immediate openings for a high energy PM Tech/Diesel Mechanic to join the team at our Hauling location in Sebring, FL . Previous waste experience would be a huge plus !

This will be a Monday - Friday position working 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM and every other Saturday. Plus 5K Stay On Bonus!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services. Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.

• Utilize vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.

• Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.

• Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.

• Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.

• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

• Minimum 1 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

• Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair trucks on the road. Usually well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. These factors require following basic safety precautions.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement preferred or the ability to obtain in the future

• Minimum 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

• Must provide own personal tools. Welding/fabrication experience a huge plus !

• Computer experience a Plus!

Our Sales position is a high volume B2B selling, customer maintenance, and customer retention opportunity. It requires balancing current customer needs and retention, along with gaining new customers through active prospecting and networking. This is not a telemarketing position and we do not believe solutions are -one size fits all-. Business and relationships are built by face-to-face contact. Job Duties:

• Selling commercial waste removal and disposal services i.

• Preparing proposals, calling on new and existing customers, and utilizing /owning our Salesforce driven CRM tool, ARES.

• Plans for and executes cold calls to influence potential commercial customers into setting appointments with the purpose of presenting and selling services.

• 60-70% of your time is spent in your designated territory, prospecting, and exploring market opportunities. The balance of time will be spent doing team building, strategic planning, and account management with internal team.

• Being the main point of contact for a current book of business for both commercial and industrial accounts.

• Gathering contract expiration dates, documenting existing customer concerns, and working with other departments to satisfy customer requests for service.

• Proactively communicates with or responds to customers in support of Company pricing initiatives.

• Performs contractual re-signs by effectively building long term customer relationships and responsible for increasing customer profitability where appropriate.

• Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the Company's available services, lines of business, pricing structures, and offers additional services as appropriate to assigned existing customers.

• Conduct waste stream analysis to include estimation of volumes and recognition of waste streams requiring special handling or which can be recycled or diverted.

• Builds relationships and increases Company visibility through participation in Company sponsored activities, trade shows, chamber of commerce events, and other similar activities.

Qualifications:

• 2 years outside sales/B2B experience preferred

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Online decisioning for unidentified payments

• Research open item corrections

• Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes and issues

• Interact with customers and records interaction information into computer

• Talk with customers by phone or in person and receives orders for installation, turn on, discontinuance, or change in service

• Determines charges for service requested, collects deposits, prepares change of address records, and issues discontinuance orders

• Adjust complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints

• Deliver services to customers in a manner that promotes goodwill. Interact with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine service requirements, resolve problems or complaints, and seeks cost-effective, safe environmentally sound solutions to service issues

• Running and working daily reports, such as reinstates, SNP, BDR, daily cash listing, etc.

• Maintain daily deposit log.

• Ad-hoc and check reports throughout the month.

• Promote Waste Connections standard operating procedures, which assure efficient environmentally correct and safe workplace practices

• Reconcile batch posting reports to bank statement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Email preferred. Typing and 10-key skills are required
