What will I do?
Engage customers in friendly conversation while making eye contact and smiling; proactively offer additional assistance, thank customers for shopping at Wegmans
When on register, efficiently and accurately scan items and process payments
Properly bag items to ensure products arrive at their destination in the condition they left the store
When in self-checkout area, manage traffic flow, direct customers to available lanes, ensure the lanes are in good working order and assist customers with system troubleshooting
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work space

We're looking for entry-level leaders who are passionate and ready to collaborate, lead, and give their best every day! In this role, your responsibilities will consist of both coordinating and troubleshooting daily activities of our customer service employees, as well as taking part in store management duties and projects. Through these responsibilities you will gain a deep understanding of our values, business measures and operations, experiencing everything from daytime to nighttime hours, often acting as a liaison between different areas of the store. You will be responsible for leading and developing a team of customer service focused team members, ensuring they have the tools and resources to be successful at their jobs. If you love to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment where no two days are the same, then this is the role for you!
What will I do?
Independently manage store operations between daytime and nighttime hours, acting as key leader and liaison among teams and various departments throughout the store; responsible for closing and/or opening the store, as part of a varied schedule that changes on a weekly basis
Partner with department management to prioritize and delegate tasks and ensure the Front End/customer checkout operations runs efficiently, monitoring the business and customer traffic throughout the store, managing the right number of open checkout lanes and running register when necessary to reduce customer wait time
Manage performance of a team of Customer Service employees, providing resources, training, feedback, and development opportunities
Provide Incredible Customer Service to customers and employees alike, acting as a champion throughout the store for our values and standards
Quickly react to situations that arise, partnering with store leadership to problem solve operational challenges
Participate in and/or lead special projects and assignments across the store with the goal of bringing employees together and enhancing the Company culture
Required Qualifications
1 or more years of work experience, preferably in customer service, or a college degree
Computer skills
Proven ability to multi-task and handle interruptions in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading a team
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new situations and subject matters

Our Line Cooks are essential in our mission to help people live healthier, better lives through exceptional food. In this role, you'll continue to develop and grow your culinary skills in our Wegmans kitchens. You'll learn from the best as you prepare menu items utilized throughout the kitchen, including prepackaged meals and our fresh, hot food bars. Ensure the department is running smoothly by assisting with tasks, maintaining appropriate inventory levels through ordering, and rotating and stocking drugs and other supplies
Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs, and follow sanitation practices
Required Qualifications:
Computer skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations in order to perform data entry and fill prescriptions without error
State specific - may require Pharmacy Technician certification
New Jersey applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or equivalent

As a Facilities Sanitation Team Member, you will help to keep the entire operation running smoothly. Working alongside the Operations Teams, this role provides incredible service to each department by quickly and efficiently responding to calls regarding spills, breaks, or other accidents, as well as maintaining the general upkeep and safety of the facility.
What will I do?
Keep the facility in pristine condition, and answer questions and communicate potential dangers to management
Promptly respond to all maintenance calls by attending to spills, breaks or other accidents as well as various maintenance tasks including changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, etc.
Work independently to prioritize and complete all assigned tasks efficiently, including keeping warehouse floor clear of all wood, plastic, cardboard, and other debris, clean and restock restrooms, sweep floors, empty trash receptacles, clean windows, as well as other jobs
Safely operate ride on and walk behind floor scrubbers, perform basic preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment
Operate cardboard and plastic baler and compactors, load pallets and recyclables onto trailers
Keep an organized, well-stocked and simplified supply room and maintenance stations, ensure supplies are available to quickly answer maintenance calls
Properly use equipment, handle products, keep accurate logs, follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines, Simplification 5S procedures, comply with Wegmans policies, federal and state laws

As a Security Coordinator at a Wegmans store location, you will be responsible for providing a safe and secure store environment for customers and employees. Coordinators are the liaison between the Wegmans Asset Protection team, company leaders and the employees within the store. This position requires a self-motivated, independent individual who is task-oriented and will remain highly visible to build relationships within the store and provide incredible customer service.
What will I do?
Focus on people safety in our stores and execute safety programs to create a positive shopping experience and a safe work environment
Partner with management to implement an Asset Protection strategy aimed at maximizing sales while reducing shrink due to theft; benchmark industry activity, identify trends and analyze data
Foster a collaborative and professional relationship with community organizations and emergency responders to increase safety and security awareness and measures
Discreetly observe customers, vendors, and employees to prevent loss; utilize a variety of resources to apprehend and process shoplifters
Coordinate and manage all Closed-Circuit Television systems, and all life safety and store security measure systems
Navigate situations such as medical emergencies and fire alarms using problem solving and conflict management skills
Respond to emergency situations and make difficult decisions that affect the safety and wellbeing of others
Discreetly conduct investigations and surveillances under the guidance of the Asset Protection Manager
Respond to emergency situations; provide ongoing support and guidance to both employees and customers
Required Qualifications
Police Officer/Deputy/Trooper experience working road patrol and/or United States Military Law Enforcement or Special Operations experience
Proven ability to problem solve and effectively manage conflict
Ability to use good judgment and make difficult decisions that affect the safety and well-being of others
Ability to maintain effective communication and composure in a stressful environment
Technical aptitude with advanced PC skills, including proficiency with MS Office
Valid driver's license
