Gather data to recommend and implement improvements to the supply chain process by creating ways for the organization to be more efficient and cost-effective while working closely with employees throughout various segments within the business unit.

  • Maintains inventory location records, monitors inventory levels and investigates discrepancies.

  • Generates and verifies cycle counts and helps resolve the causes of errors.

  • Monitor material handling to ensure accurate and smooth flow of materials.

  • Support coordination of purchase parts, including testing, while analyzing competitors and monitoring cost.

  • Project the organization's future needs through accurate reporting and data analysis.

  • Establish KANBAN in the ERP, on the production floors and with suppliers.

  • Creates production schedules based on customer orders and line capacity.

  • Works with engineering to ensure BOM are updated and accurate on upcoming and current production orders.

  • Utilize ERP system to open and convert manufacturing work orders, monitor work order progress, and plant FGI inventory levels to ensure market forecast will be met.

  • Create purchase requisitions, convert to purchase orders, and ensure suppliers confirm receipt of and acceptance of all POs.

  • Works closely with operations to ensure infrastructure is prepared for future growth.

  • Validates production lead times and availability to the Customer Service team.

  • Monitor and report key performance metrics, including backorders, inventories, shortages, and supplier performance.

  • Communicates and coordinates with logistics and procurement when inventory levels drop below production needs.

  • Ensures accuracy of SOPs and documentation that support job responsibilities.

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field desired, or equivalent of 5+ years' experience in supply chain planning.

  • 2+ years of experience in Inventory Control, Production Planning, and/or Procurement.

  • 3+ years working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office software.

  • Requires an in-depth knowledge of product and applications and the ability to work and communicate effectively with customers and other staff.

  • Microsoft Dynamics knowledge preferred.

Alpine is seeking an Equipment Field Service Tech to join our team. The service technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment; including, but not limited to electronic control panels and related mechanical, electrical or computer equipment, designed and built exclusively by ITW Alpine at the customer's location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Extensive travel required (60-80%), including weekends, as necessary.

  • Installs Alpine equipment at customer sites. Drills holes and bolts metal framework and supports in place. Cuts, drills, and fits brackets, supports, covers, and fixtures from metal sheet, strap or bar stock. Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures. Bolts and screws control panels and assembled operating units to framework. Connects electrical wiring and cables.

  • Reads and understands manuals and work instructions.

  • Reads proprietary blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

  • Aligns machines and equipment using proprietary procedures and guidelines.

  • Provides onsite service and repairs. Repairs, troubleshoots, calibrates, and lubricates machines and equipment per the instruction manual or work instructions.

  • Installs & adjusts computer hardware and software and related operating systems and programs, printers and other electronic equipment, based on specific factory training required for ITW/Alpine Equipment and related proprietary firmware and software.

  • Provides customer training on installed equipment. Trains operator to run and maintain equipment. Familiarizes customer with service manual and computer interface. Monitors customer's work to provide guidance and answer questions.

  • Works in the office when not traveling, performing all tasks as required to provide customer service. Will take customer orders and perform troubleshooting with customers by phone and online.

  • HS Diploma or GED required

  • 2+ years of experience working on industrial equipment

  • 2+ years of related college coursework preferred

  • 2+ years of experience with: mechanical, electrical, electronic, computer, motion control systems, firmware, software, and related components and systems preferred

  • Experience with installing and training customers on automated equipment preferred

  • Possess/maintain valid driver's license and maintain a clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

  • Extensive travel required (60-80% domestic and international), including weekends, as necessary.

  • Must be able to obtain the appropriate visa/work documentation to enable travel to customer's location to perform work as necessary and wherever assigned worldwide

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborate with marketing team to generating customer facing content promoting the value of our ITW welding portfolio through media such as product campaigns, social media messaging, industry publications, and the Miller website.

Experience

. Knowledge of plastics, injection molding, and tooling is preferred

. Knowledge of automotive industry and associated procedures and requirements is preferred

Primary Objective:

Software Engineer - Firmware. This Firmware Engineering position is a member of the Electrical Hardware Development team at MTS Test & Simulation. Engineers in this team are responsible for developing and supporting a wide range of electrical products focused on high performance motion control and precision data acquisition. Our controller product lines enable MTS Test & Simulation systems to achieve world class precision force and motion control, providing our customers with unmatched performance, safety, and reliability for their most challenging mechanical testing needs. As a Firmware Engineer on the Electrical Hardware Development team, you will work with circuit board designers, FPGA designers, and other Firmware Engineers to develop firmware for motion control electronics and data acquisition systems.

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Embedded firmware and microprocessor programming

  • Developing embedded software (hardware layer to application layer) to meet specific system and hardware requirements

  • Defining and developing custom hardware/software interfaces

  • Debugging and integrating software on product hardware, including board bring-up diagnostic software

  • Developing and executing software unit test and functional tests

  • Digital signal processing and digital filter design, including MATLAB DSP Builder

  • Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA filtering/down sampling, Intel Quartus, Verilog, and SystemVerilog)

  • Digital Communication and third-party interfaces, including EtherCAT

  • Significant contributor to overall system architecture design

  • Design, development and provide support of compilers, assemblers, and development tools

  • Assisting and leading documentation and processes that conform with ISO quality objectives

  • Other accountabilities/duties as assigned

General Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide technical support for internal and external customers

  • Interface with vendors of key development tools and technologies

  • Provide and maintain documentation to support engineering process

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred) from an ABET accredited institution

  • 5+ years of experience developing in C/C++ with embedded development emphasis

  • Demonstrated technical expertise and domain experience in embedded systems

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and team effectively with others

  • Responsive and willing to take ownership of issues and drive solutions

  • Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and decisive

  • Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues

  • Working knowledge of product development methodologies and stage-gate development processes

  • Able to effectively deal with ambiguity and make good decisions with incomplete data

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio, Git, TI Code Composer

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodology.

  • Experience with Ethernet communication protocols, including real-time Ethernet technology such as EtherCAT

  • Experience with Texas Instruments DSP, ARM CPUs, OMAP

  • Experience with reading schematics and datasheets

  • Experience with Texas Instruments SYS/BIOS Real-time Operating System (TI-RTOS) is a plus

  • Knowledge of FPGA / HDL / SystemVerilog is a plus

  • Knowledge of MATLAB is a plus
