This opportunity entails being responsible for the creation of templates and all required graphics for complex and/or mega proposals, interviews and in-house materials. Creates the design and layout, and coordinates production of various materials, including printed brochures, flyers, boards, etc., as well as some multi-media designs to create an image, communicate concepts, or deliver a message in the most effective way. May oversee the work of less experienced staff members.

What You'll Do:

  • Creates print and digital materials for proposals, including templates, charts, maps, infographics, covers and layout.

  • Creates print and digital materials for presentations, including PowerPoints, leave-behinds, and display boards.

  • Creates print and digital materials for PR and internal communications, including brochures, ads, and announcements.

  • Follows and implements the visual identity direction from leadership on key projects and pursuits.

  • May work on complex projects requiring specialized design or industry knowledge, including leading creative direction for print and digital materials for proposals, presentations or other marketing-related efforts.

  • Utilizes storytelling techniques and champions creative vision on key projects and pursuits.

  • Leads maintenance and organization of digital assets such as icons, photography, and stock graphics.

  • Coordinates with print vendors and photographers.

  • Responsible for final graphics review and approval.

  • Mentors lower-level designers. Regularly shares and discusses work with creative staff.

  • May assist with conducting trainings for Marketing staff.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Associates Degree in Art, Graphic Design or related field and 6 years of relevant experience, or

  • In lieu of education 8 years of relevant experience

What You'll Bring:

  • Creating projects using advanced knowledge of InDesign and graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).

  • Implementing interviewing techniques to uncover the message and transform it into visual or graphic information.

  • Translating information creatively by assessing problems and conveying visual solutions independently. Providing support for less-experienced staff.

  • Developing advanced-level presentation templates (e.g., PowerPoint or Keynote). Active participation in the development of presentation storyboards, look and feel, messaging, and rehearsals.

  • Implementing storytelling techniques to graphically represent ideas, championing creative vision on key projects.

  • Guiding the direction of the work, managing work flows, and bringing new software, innovations, efficiencies.

  • Gathering data from strategic war rooms, presentation rehearsals, and graphics meetings. Providing guidance and supporting creative vision for less experienced staff on projects.

  • Develops scope of work and level of effort and manages adherence to scope and budget on complex or unusual engineering projects within discipline.

  • Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team's work within the technical discipline.

  • Provides technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve overall project objectives on complex or unusual engineering projects.

  • Coordinates technical aspects of the project with client counterpart and teaming partners at staff level for work within the discipline on complex or unusual engineering projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinates local policy and procedures with the appropriate corporate and or/ divisional functions to ensure full and complete procedures are in place covering assigned areas. Recommends changes in process or procedure to management.

  • Prepares reports, gathering and summarizing a variety of data from multiple sources. Organizes and maintains office files (electronic and hardcopy) and records in accordance with internal retention policy and procedures.

  • Prepares and submits expense reports on behalf of office staff, securing and maintaining supporting documentation and ensuring accurate coding of expense items. Supports Accounts Payable functions by accurately coding and processing invoices.

This opportunity entails being responsible for providing environmental and GIS support from concept development through project completion including researching, gathering, and analyzing data, preparing project materials, and applying environmental law and policy to ensure compliance on behalf of the client. May function as task lead with Project Manager oversight and provide technical guidance to early career staff. Experience with noise analysis and/or waterway permitting a plus.

What You'll Do:

  • Research data sources, gathers data, and conducts analysis of data for use in projects.

  • Identifies planning and analysis strategies using tools such as GIS, traffic, or safety software to manipulate data, assess scenarios, and perform project analysis.

  • Investigates, evaluates, and provides recommendations on planning processes and technical solutions that best meet the project needs.

  • Leads aspects of internal and external coordination with project team members, including other discipline areas involved with the project.

  • Participates in client meetings and interactions.

  • Leads preparation of maps, exhibits, and presentation materials for projects.

  • Conducts or directs research on issues, policies, and concepts pertaining to planning, and formulates recommendations.

  • Participates in the development of conceptual planning alternatives for urban and transportation planning projects

  • Writes major sections of and leads production of plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents for transportation and infrastructure projects.

  • Participates in public process and stakeholder facilitation.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field and 4 years related professional experience, or

  • Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field and 3 years of relevant experience

What You'll Bring:

  • Knows how to use Microsoft Project and client-specific programs without guidance from others.

  • Expertise in GIS.

  • Understands policies and procedures of the client processes (i.e., regulations, concept of final design, environmental procedure manual).

  • Functions as the Task Lead for simple projects with the ability to contribute to writing scopes and budgets with Project Manager oversight.

  • Gains an advanced understanding of environmental laws (i.e., NEPA, local, state and federal) and ensures legal compliance. Applies knowledge to more complex documents, provides recommendations to clients, and ensures permits are completed, with oversight from more experienced staff.

  • Contributes to scope of work, budget, and schedule as part of task expansion or new proposals with guidance from more experienced staff.

  • Prepares environmental review documents for moderately complex transportation projects. Functions as the Task Lead for environmental documents with oversight from more experienced staff.

What We Prefer:

  • Minimum 4 Years of Experience

  • Experience completing NEPA documentation

  • Experience creating graphics and analyzing data in ArcGIS (preferably ArcGIS Pro)

  • Experience preparing environmental permits, including Section 404/401 permits and Construction in a Floodway Permits.

  • TNM 2.5 Noise Modeling experience preferred.

  • Experience conducting wetland delineations preferred.
