Helena School District # 1 has an opening for a General Education Para Educator (Teacher Assistant). This position is presently assigned to Kessler Elementary School and is scheduled for 6 hours per school day. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting instructional personnel in general daily classroom activities; assisting in the school's main office; assisting in the Nurse's office; assisting students individually and/or in small groups; assisting with outdoor supervision; and assisting with lunch supervision. Prior successful experience assisting elementary school aged students is preferred. Minimum qualifications include: high school graduation or equivalent; one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience as determined by the District.
Entry level pay range is $13.00 to $15.95 per hour depending on education level and applicable experience as determined by the District. A comprehensive benefit package is provided including coverage during the summer break.

Job Title: Paraprofessional Department: Educational Services Reports To: Building Administrator Prepared Date: November 2020 SUMMARY: Assist instructional personnel in general daily classroom activities. Supervise students at recess, lunch and outside play. Responsible to represent the school building and district in a most positive way to students, staff, parents, and the school community.
