Job Summary

Assists one or more journeyman level workers by performing specific or general duties of a lesser skill of the trade. What You'll Do

KBR is looking for highly motivated rising Juniors, Seniors and Graduate students seeking science, engineering and software development opportunities that provide challenging and meaningful work experience to be a part of our 2025 Intern class.

As an Intern, you will support verification, validation, version control, and deployment of research and production code for the office. The codebase that KBR maintains is the cornerstone of our business and critical to our long-term success. During the summer you will learn the art of scientific programming, testing, and revision control. You will work with senior members on tasks involving validation, unit testing, and regression testing of new and existing scientific code. This will involve analyzing scientific programs developed by members of the technical staff, commenting on them, making computational improvements where feasible, and checking them in to a repository. You will be encouraged to interact with members of the technical staff that developed the programs in order to understand the algorithms they are analyzing.

As a National Security Solutions Intern, you will:

• Learn and apply state-of-the-art scientific coding practices

• Perform validation, unit testing, and regression testing of new and existing MATLAB and/or C/C++ scientific code

• Learn and apply principles of software revision control

• Document work and make a final presentation

Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience and establish a name for themselves in this high demand career field.

Anticipated Skill Set:

• Mathematics coursework at the undergraduate calculus level or higher

• Familiarity with at least one computer programming language

Basic Qualifications:

This is a contingency hire for a full-time position supporting a government agency in Reston, VA. Selected applicants will be responsible for leading the creation and maintenance of Tableau dashboards to support the mission information technology, infrastructure, and program planning for all agency development and O&M activities. Required Qualifications

• Must have possess an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph

• Skilled in Tableau analysis and data visualization

• Experience within the Intelligence Community

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

• Ability to clearly articulate requirements definitions and their dispositions to senior executive government leadership

• Working understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and or knowledge of Agile Development techniques and related issues

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead teams in requirements development activities

. Responsible for study, design, specification, reverse engineering, and services related to electrical and electronic systems including power supplies, generators, motors, power systems performance and control, cabling and wiring, circuit card assemblies, specialized electromechanical devices, etc.

. Under direct supervision, able to perform all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter.

The Federal Civilian BD position at KBR will serve as a front-end Business Development customer focused lead within KBR's business development organization focused specifically on Federal Civilian Agency mission and technology programs. The Business Development Lead will be responsible for building relationships with the government, creating a focused pipeline, and winning new business. The BD Lead will engage with federal civilian customers and follow the KBR BD Processes. The BD Leader will drive large, prime single award opportunities and top pursuits ranging from $50M to $1 billion.

Travel is required to KBR facilities and customer locations.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the management and execution of the full BD life-cycle process across pursuits and proposals

• Routinely build pipeline and advance winnable opportunities with the average size of $200M+ solicitation pursuits at various stages of the capture lifecycle primarily in the federal civilian mission and technology programs.

• Engage the customer, shape future procurements, design a winning strategy, assist in developing a capture plan that implements the strategy and translates into win themes.

• Ensure the voice of the customer is contained in the content throughout the capture process.

• Plan, lead, execute BD activities to include:

• Leading the development of a healthy pipeline of new winnable opportunities

• Qualify and assess the -win-ability- of new opportunities and move them through the milestone process

• Develop a plan for securing knowledge and understanding of the customer's requirements, challenges, issues, and needs during the capture phase and lead solutioning/planning sessions with the capture team

• Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices

• Lead milestone/gate reviews, black hat sessions, solution sessions, blue teams, and support proposal reviews

• Lead the development and submission of white papers, RFI responses, and other customer engagement activities.

• Apply KBR BD best practices to each pursuit, including customer engagement, solution and win theme development

• Brief pipeline and opportunity status to senior management at specified milestones

• Create winning solutions

• Win large new business programs

  Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience with demonstrated success in business development and capture of contracts valued greater than $200M

• Bachelor's degree

• Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace

• Pre-existing knowledge and relationships with federal civilian agencies with a proven track records of winning single award programs as a prime.

• An ability to win new business and drive profitable financial outcomes

• Proven success in the following discipline(s) within Fed Civ: Business development, opportunity identification and qualification, account planning and strategic planning capability

• Demonstrated leadership skills in services-centric organizations to develop, organize and execute significant BD activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions

• Proven track record of winning new business single award contracts in Federal Civilian Agencies as a prime with contract values over $200M

JOB SUMMARY

Primary physical and dimensional technician capable of performing unsupervised calibrations of various IMTE to support customer operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the calibration and certifying of physical/dimensional measuring and test equipment to technical specifications, maintaining traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

• Performs calibration/repairs on equipment.

• Calibrates standards used in calibrations.

• Conducts uncertainty analysis, develops procedures, and ensures documentation conforms to Quality Systems requirements.

• Installs new equipment; performs modifications to equipment to make it compatible with existing equipment or to enhance its functions.

• Makes reports on electronic or instrumentation system conditions, repairs and preventive maintenance performed; prepares and maintains repair and maintenance records as required by federal and department regulations and directives.

• Performs complex configuration and tests of equipment according to instructions, blueprints, schematic sketches and/or prescribed testing procedures.

• Uses all hand tools and sets up and uses standard machine tools. Uses common laboratory measuring, calibrating, and test equipment.

• Performs troubleshooting in conjunction with design modification functions involved in production or engineering liaison.

• Makes design modification or devises and designs the equipment parts.

• Provides guidance regarding equipment operation to customers and equipment operators.

• Resolves group and customer issues, seeks to improve the overall productivity of the department, anticipates problems and initiates appropriate actions to eliminate them.

• Proficient at understanding and writing reports and work instructions and assists customers to define technical requirements to meet their objective.

• Performs work safely, in-compliant to HS&E requirements, and takes actions to ensure a safe working environment.

• Interacts effectively with others to produce the desired results.

• Participates constructively in the utilization of process improvement methods to provide timely, cost-effective, quality services.

• Performs routine operational tests to assure the modification produces desired outputs; evaluates environments in which equipment is installed and how equipment can be affected.

• Maintains records of test data and assists in writing test procedures and test evaluation reports.

• Applies advanced skills in area of specialization.

• May adapt procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment appropriate to meet special needs.

• Performs all other duties as assigned.
