Program Summary
The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
Job Summary
This position performs high level preventative maintenance and repairs to diesel engines and gasoline and diesel driven material handling and construction equipment such as 50 Ton mobile hydraulic cranes, container handlers, 4k -10k forklifts, tractors, power shovels, road machinery, air compressors, concrete mixers and other engine driven or towed construction equipment. Trouble shoot and repair to MVAC system. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Performs operator, intermediate and limited major rebuild levels of maintenance which includes spot painting. Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics. Performs other tasks as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent. Four years of directly related work experience. Complete the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course, or equivalent. Complete MVAC course and hold a valid certificate. Ability to use technical manuals, specifications, and measuring instrumentation. Must have a valid State Drivers License and able to obtain and maintain a Tactical Operator License as necessary. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Ability to comply with all established methods, safety standards, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position. U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access.

KBR is seeking an Associate Technical Professional - Test Engineering to support our RECO/DTRA contract for KBR's Science and Space division. Provide test support for environmental testing on CBRNE experiments at Kirtland AFB, WSMR, Dugway, and other US testing grounds.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Conducts tests or experiments requiring selection and adaptation or modification of a wide variety of critical test equipment and test procedures; sets up and operates equipment; records data, measures and records problems of significant complexity that sometimes require resolution at a higher level; and analyzes data and prepares test reports.
Debugs, troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, and calibrates test hardware and software.
Applies methods outlined by others to limited segments of research and development projects; constructs experimental or prototype models to meet engineering requirements; conducts tests or experiments and redesigns as necessary; and records and evaluates data and reports findings.
Extracts and compiles a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc.; processes data, identifying errors or inconsistencies; selects methods of data presentation.

APS-3: Mechanic (Shipboard)

Program Summary
KBR maintains and manages Army prepositioned stocks at the Army Field Support Battalion - Charleston (AFSBn-CHS) land site and aboard ship to include all logistics and maintenance operations. The KBR APS-3 Program is managed and executed at Goose Creek in support of the Army's power projection doctrine and resources. The contract provides maintenance of APS-3 stocks (Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, IX) to ensure that unit sets stored aboard marine vessels are configured and maintained at optimal readiness. KBR provides limited maintenance and supply support aboard ship to ensure that equipment sets are maintained in a ready condition for emergency download and issue to operating units at the direction of the US Army. KBR also provides maintenance services and logistical support for other Army programs IAW individual scope of work contract requirements.
Job Summary
The Motor Vehicle Mechanic repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors. Work involves most of the following: Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; removal and replacement of engine or other engine components; removal and replacement of transmissions and transfer cases; repairing fuel injection issues, lighting, and ignition systems and various other electrical issues as diagnosed. In general, the work of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent. This position requires computer literacy.
This Emergency Essential (EE) position is in the KBR Shipboard Department for the APS-03 program, located on the Goose Creek Naval Weapons Station, Joint Base Charleston.
Roles and Responsibilities
Repair, rebuild, or overhaul major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors.
Diagnose the source of trouble and determine the extent of repairs required.
Remove and replace engines or engine components.
Remove and replace transmissions and transfer cases.
Repair fuel injection issues, lighting, and ignition systems and various other electrical issues as diagnosed.
Perform field level automotive maintenance on all U.S. Government owned automotive, tactical, and combat equipment aboard ship.
Surveille, test and exercise, troubleshoot, diagnose, research technical manuals, and perform all repairs that are capable of being executed in the environment's configuration.
Use government furnished special tools, property, and spaces aboard ship to research parts identification and requisition, servicing, and repair in accordance with technical specifications and specified repair times.
Update maintenance records and documentation in accordance with government regulations and local policies.
Properly use, store, account for, and dispose of hazardous materials and waste used and generated in the performance of duties.
Perform movement of materiel and assets with forklifts and dollies.
Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Upon notification from the government, deploys to support issuing or receipt of equipment to gaining activity.
Perform other duties as assigned.
At times be eligible for uplifts: 10% after completion of deployment requirements and 4% upon boarding the ship.
At times use and wear personal protective equipment such as, hearing and eye protection, hard hat, and steel-toed boots as well as Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) which may include but not limited to Level III plus/IV Individual Body Armor with both front and back ballistic plates, ACH helmet, clothing (undergarments, shirts, and pants and/or coveralls), reflective vests/belts, sound suppression devices, etc.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

Must meet deployment qualifications and maintain deployable status.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access.
Requires any of the following:
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification (any series); formerly held equivalent Military Occupation Specialization of Construction Equipment Repairer, Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, or Tracked Vehicle Mechanic; or experience of at least six years as a mechanic.
Must be able to interpret and apply technical instruction, schematics, and diagrams.
Must possess a valid State Driver's License.
Knowledge of U.S. Army TM 38-470, DA PAM 750-8, and AR 750-1 is also desirable.
Physical Requirements:

KBR maintains and manages Army prepositioned stocks at the Army Field Support Battalion - Charleston (AFSBn-CHS) land site and aboard ship to include all logistics and maintenance operations. The KBR APS-3 Program is managed and executed at Goose Creek in support of the Army's power projection doctrine and resources. The contract provides maintenance of APS-3 stocks (Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, IX) to ensure that unit sets stored aboard marine vessels are configured and maintained at optimal readiness. KBR provides limited maintenance and supply support aboard ship to ensure that equipment sets are maintained in a ready condition for emergency download and issue to operating units at the direction of the US Army. KBR also provides maintenance services and logistical support for other Army programs IAW individual scope of work contract requirements.
Job Summary
The Motor Vehicle Mechanic repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors. Work involves most of the following: Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; removal and replacement of engine or other engine components; removal and replacement of transmissions and transfer cases; repairing fuel injection issues, lighting, and ignition systems and various other electrical issues as diagnosed. In general, the work of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent. This position requires computer literacy.
This Emergency Essential (EE) position is in the KBR Shipboard Department for the APS-03 program, located on the Goose Creek Naval Weapons Station, Joint Base Charleston.
Roles and Responsibilities
Repair, rebuild, or overhaul major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors.
Diagnose the source of trouble and determine the extent of repairs required.
Remove and replace engines or engine components.
Remove and replace transmissions and transfer cases.
Repair fuel injection issues, lighting, and ignition systems and various other electrical issues as diagnosed.
Perform field level automotive maintenance on all U.S. Government owned automotive, tactical, and combat equipment aboard ship.
Surveille, test and exercise, troubleshoot, diagnose, research technical manuals, and perform all repairs that are capable of being executed in the environment's configuration.
Use government furnished special tools, property, and spaces aboard ship to research parts identification and requisition, servicing, and repair in accordance with technical specifications and specified repair times.
Update maintenance records and documentation in accordance with government regulations and local policies.
Properly use, store, account for, and dispose of hazardous materials and waste used and generated in the performance of duties.
Perform movement of materiel and assets with forklifts and dollies.
Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Upon notification from the government, deploys to support issuing or receipt of equipment to gaining activity.
Perform other duties as assigned.
At times be eligible for uplifts: 10% after completion of deployment requirements and 4% upon boarding the ship.
At times use and wear personal protective equipment such as, hearing and eye protection, hard hat, and steel-toed boots as well as Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) which may include but not limited to Level III plus/IV Individual Body Armor with both front and back ballistic plates, ACH helmet, clothing (undergarments, shirts, and pants and/or coveralls), reflective vests/belts, sound suppression devices, etc.

Program Summary
KBR maintains and manages Army prepositioned stocks at the Army Field Support Battalion - Charleston (AFSBn-CHS) land site and aboard ship to include all logistics and maintenance operations. The KBR APS-3 Program is managed and executed at Goose Creek in support of the Army's power projection doctrine and resources. The contract provides maintenance of APS-3 stocks (Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, IX) to ensure that unit sets stored aboard marine vessels are configured and maintained at optimal readiness. KBR provides limited maintenance and supply support aboard ship to ensure that equipment sets are maintained in a ready condition for emergency download and issue to operating units at the direction of the US Army. KBR also provides maintenance services and logistical support for other Army programs IAW individual scope of work contract requirements.
Job Summary
The Motor Vehicle Mechanic repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors. Work involves most of the following: Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; removal and replacement of engine or other engine components; removal and replacement of transmissions and transfer cases; repairing fuel injection issues, lighting, and ignition systems and various other electrical issues as diagnosed. In general, the work of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent. This position requires computer literacy.
This Emergency Essential (EE) position is in the KBR Shipboard Department for the APS-03 program, located on the Goose Creek Naval Weapons Station, Joint Base Charleston.
Roles and Responsibilities
Repair, rebuild, or overhaul major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors.
Diagnose the source of trouble and determine the extent of repairs required.
Remove and replace engines or engine components.
Remove and replace transmissions and transfer cases.
Repair fuel injection issues, lighting, and ignition systems and various other electrical issues as diagnosed.
Perform field level automotive maintenance on all U.S. Government owned automotive, tactical, and combat equipment aboard ship.
Surveille, test and exercise, troubleshoot, diagnose, research technical manuals, and perform all repairs that are capable of being executed in the environment's configuration.
Use government furnished special tools, property, and spaces aboard ship to research parts identification and requisition, servicing, and repair in accordance with technical specifications and specified repair times.
Update maintenance records and documentation in accordance with government regulations and local policies.
Properly use, store, account for, and dispose of hazardous materials and waste used and generated in the performance of duties.
Perform movement of materiel and assets with forklifts and dollies.
Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Upon notification from the government, deploys to support issuing or receipt of equipment to gaining activity.
Perform other duties as assigned.
At times be eligible for uplifts: 10% after completion of deployment requirements and 4% upon boarding the ship.
At times use and wear personal protective equipment such as, hearing and eye protection, hard hat, and steel-toed boots as well as Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) which may include but not limited to Level III plus/IV Individual Body Armor with both front and back ballistic plates, ACH helmet, clothing (undergarments, shirts, and pants and/or coveralls), reflective vests/belts, sound suppression devices, etc.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Passport w/no
Must meet deployment qualifications and maintain deployable status.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access.
Requires any of the following:
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification (any series); formerly held equivalent Military Occupation Specialization of Construction Equipment Repairer, Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, or Tracked Vehicle Mechanic; or experience of at least six years as a mechanic.
Must be able to interpret and apply technical instruction, schematics, and diagrams.
Must possess a valid State Driver's License.
Knowledge of U.S. Army TM 38-470, DA PAM 750-8, and AR 750-1 is also desirable.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand - between 2 to 3 hours per day.
Must be able to walk - between 4 to 5 hours per day.
Must be able to Lift - up to 35 lbs. - 50 lbs. periodically.
Must be able to squat, knell, bend, reach and climb periodically.
Must be able to work outside and inside in non-climate-controlled environments.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Prior military maintenance training and experience on tactical and combat vehicles.
ASE Certified in A or T Series.

Trouble shoot and repair to MVAC system. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Performs operator, intermediate and limited major rebuild levels of maintenance which includes spot painting. Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics. Performs other tasks as assigned.

High school graduate or equivalent. Four years of directly related work experience. Complete the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course, or equivalent. Complete MVAC course and hold a valid certificate. Ability to use technical manuals, specifications, and measuring instrumentation.
