Banner - University Medicine is actively interviewing Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants that thrive as flexible team players in a fast-paced, patient focused environmentto join the dynamic Emergency Department care team at Banner - University Medical Centers Tucson and South Campuses.As the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the Southern Arizona region, our highly motivated Emergency Department Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) treat a full range of acuity with attention to treat and release patients across the lifespan while sharing time between the fast track and the main emergency department.
Our ED APPs manage the emergency care of our patients across the spectrum of presenting complaints, order diagnostic labs and imaging, diagnose and treat disease, manage and prescribe medications, and perform a wide range of urgent/emergent procedures.The ideal candidate will be able to practice independently and involve the attending physician when necessary. Over the years, we have forged a strong partnership and high-level of trust with our physician colleagues. The ED APP team at Banner - University Medicine takes pride in their collective teamwork, educational enrichment, and high acuity environment that inspires growth. Our role in the department is evolving, and we answer the call to meet the ever-changing needs of our community.
Experienced practitioners that can hit the ground running while displaying ownership and team-based collaboration are encouraged to apply. New graduates will also be considered and will receive ongoing training/education.
Minimum Qualifications:
Emergency Medicine or Acute Care experience preferred
Current State of Arizona license
Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Current prescribing privileges, including a DEA license for controlled substance
Current CPR, BLS, PALS, and ACLS

As a Special Procedures Technologist within our Cardiac Cath Lab at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, Chandler, there are exciting opportunities to be a part of the health care transformation. As a Special Procedures Technologist you will perform a variety of roles, including monitoring and procedure scrubbing, as well as assisting physicians and nursing. We offer a wide variety of cardiac procedures, including diagnostic, structural, and electrophysiology, just to name a few. We do see pediatric and adult patients.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs prescribed specialized radiographic procedures as directed by following department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Performs radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes.
Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies. Demonstrates competence in the administration of radiopharmaceuticals and other approved medications.
Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to radiation safety policies.
Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
Independently performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols to patients. Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Requires national certification American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by state regulatory agency if applicable. Advance certification by accrediting body in specialty required if applicable within 18 months of hire (and/or equivalent clinical experience for Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) only). BLS certification.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 2 years of experience. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve problems.

We currently have an opportunity as an OR Specialty Technician . This role is vital to the efficient flow of the intraoperative department. This role encompasses many responsibilities including cleaning OR suites, maintaining appropriate levels of supplies and room set-up. POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides support to the surgical team by providing basic patient care and assistance as directed. Promotes patient safety by assuring safe functioning of OR specialty equipment during procedures and ensuring appropriate supplies are available.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Serves as a resource person in designated surgical specialty to ensure coordination of necessary instruments and equipment.
Maintains unit equipment. This includes, but is not limited to: setting up; cleaning; performing basic troubleshooting of equipment; performing safety checks on equipment and specialty carts as directed, calibrates and replaces soda lime. Monitors equipment for malfunctions, performs light maintenance or arranges for repairs. May complete room setup, assemble equipment, and maintain anesthesia specialty carts.
Tracks and monitors availability of equipment and instruments for procedures in collaboration with the members of the OR Team.
Maintains adequate inventory of anesthesia and surgical supplies both in the OR and anesthesia work areas.
Assists with pulling supplies for cases, rotating inventory, and monitoring expiration dates.
Under the direction of the RN circulator, assists with basic patient care as requested. Practices aseptic technique per competency.
Performs functional tasks and utilizes equipment as delegated by a licensed professional. This may require additional specialized training provided by the department, consistent with demonstrated competency.
Assists with transporting patients, including pre-operative and immediate post-operative patients to critical care unit. Participates in OR room turnover.
Responsibilities are typically within the department but may require assisting in other areas which administer anesthesia. Incumbents must be able to think critically and make quick decisions in a fast-paced, stressful environment. Internal customers are patients, surgeons, anesthesiologists, RNs and other members of the multiple-disciplinary OR team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Current BLS certification.
An understanding of inventory management tasks and the ability to work effectively with a computer based inventory management system.
Requires strong communication (written and verbal) skills, time management, problem solving ability, customer service and organizational skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience working with specialty instruments and equipment is strongly preferred. Knowledge of patient related supplies, materials, and aseptic techniques are preferred. Previous experience in an acute care setting, preferably surgical services or specialty procedure area.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.

9.Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION SUMMARY

Ensures that all reports and chart forms are scanned or filed into the patient's record. Ensures that charting forms are labeled and accessible if they are needed. Maintains adequate supplies of frequently used, patient education materials. May be responsible for QC/validations.
Enters pending discharges into the system. Coordinates patient appointments for procedures and treatments that may be required prior to timely discharge. Processes patient discharges.
Maintains adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies and completes requisition forms when supplies need to be ordered. Reconciles supply order upon delivery.
Monitors and tracks the use and whereabouts of electronic equipment such as patient ID scanners and lap top computers. Ensures that all are accounted for and in working order.
This position works under local supervision and has responsibility for assigned unit only. Incumbents work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with a strong focus on customer service. Interacts with other health unit secretaries and other staff at all levels throughout the facility. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION SUMMARY
This position coordinates a smooth patient flow process by answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, providing registration of patient and insurance information, obtaining required signatures following established processes, procedures and standards. This position also verifies insurance coverage, validates referrals and authorizations, collects patient liability and provides financial guidance to patients to maximize medical services reimbursement efforts. Calculates and collects patient liability according to verification of insurance benefits and expected reimbursement. Explains and provides financial policies and available resources for alternative payment arrangements to patients and their families.
Enters payments/charges for services rendered and performs daily payment/charge reconciliation in a timely and accurate manner. Balances cash drawer at the beginning and end of the day and prepares daily bank deposit with necessary paperwork sent to centralized billing for record purposes.
Schedules office visits and procedures within the medical practice(s) and external practices as necessary. Maximizes reimbursement by scheduling patients in accordance with payor plan provisions. Confirms patient appointments for the following day as necessary and ensures patients are properly prepared for visits.
Demonstrates proactive interpersonal communications skills while dealing with patient concerns through telephone calls, emails and in-person conversations. Optimizes patient flow by using effective customer service/communication skills by communicating to internal and external customers, care team, management, centralized services and HIMS.
Assists in responding to requests for patient medical records according to company policies and procedures, and state and federal laws.
Provides a variety of patient services to assist in patient flow including but not limited to escorting patients, taking vitals and patient history, assisting in patient treatment, distributing mail and fax information, ordering supplies, etc.

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs the setup, acquisition and processing of prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with established departmental/facility policies and procedures. Educates patients/families regarding the procedure and/or treatment to be performed.
Assists providers with exams and minor in-office procedures which could include taking patients' blood pressure, documenting respiration and heart rate/pulse, taking temperature, as well as performing phlebotomies, ear irrigation and EKG's. Acts as chaperone as needed. Uses universal blood and body fluid precautions at all times and personal protective equipment as needed. Responsible for prioritization of patient flow through clinical process.
Coordinates and manages patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions and scheduling of patients for clinic, hospital and other ancillary medical treatments and tests. Responsible for communicating test results to patient. Acts as a resource to clinician in order to provide optimal patient care. May administer medications in accordance with established policies and procedures or as directed.
Prepares and maintains accurate documentation in accordance with established departmental/facility policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, complete medical records including labs, authorizations, X-Rays, hospital records and any previous care pertaining to each patient visit. Provides complete and accurate information necessary for billing related to the patient encounter in a timely fashion.
Maintains a clean, functional environment, including exam rooms and storage areas. Cleans and disinfects equipment and instruments using appropriate solutions, following sterilization procedures, and following manufacturer's recommendations and OSHA guidelines in handling of hazardous substances. Performs basic maintenance of equipment and coordinates needed maintenance for prompt repairs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Requires certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program. Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable. BLS certification required. Requires successful completion of the Banner Health MA competency assessment. All direct patient care personnel are required to demonstrate competent performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS) techniques for adults, children and infants according to the standards of a nationally recognized, standardized, credentialed healthcare provider course every other year.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for ordering, inventory and other supply activities to provide timely acquisition of all materials and/or equipment (non-Capital) and/or services for Clinical Procedure area or areas as assigned in accordance with the purchasing policies, procedures and contracts. It is also a requirement to maintain appropriate inventory levels of routine and specialty supplies for the Clinical Procedural department(s).
CORE FUNCTIONS
Conducts and coordinates the activities and processes of procurement, receipt, distribution, stocking and inventory management of medical supplies and other materials for the assigned Clinical Procedure area. This will also include Recall management and product returns. Interacts with the Finance department to monitor compliance with point of use technology systems.
Receives requests for special order supplies and procures them for the correct patient, procedure, date, and time. Coordinates with the Clinical department to arrange any special delivery needs from a vendor or other department or facility, if necessary. Verifies that the supply request is within the boundaries of Supply Chain Contract Compliance. Arranges evaluations of new products, including contacting vendor representatives and arranging demonstrations. Participates in contract and procurement process.
Regularly takes and accounts for inventory of all supplies in the assigned areas. Uses independent thinking to decide the appropriate inventory levels and monitors usage, shelf life and rotates stock to avoid product expiration in conjunction with inventory associates. Conducts routine needs analysis and determines the optimal inventory levels for each item. Tracks and maintains all Consignment items.
Daily assesses upcoming schedules for procedures and other sources for future supply needs. Orders specialty items and coordinates the receipt, storage and delivery of these items. Is available after normal business hours to answer questions from the Clinical department to assist with sourcing needed supplies.
Promotes and monitors cost containment and encourages conversion to System standardization of products and equipment. Works with vendors, gets quotes and makes recommendations for purchases. Attends system product evaluation meetings to relate the needs of the departments regarding product comparison substitution and availability. May also participate in the planning of supplies, equipment and materials for new construction move-ins and re-models.
Receives and reviews vendor sales order sheets for specialty supplies and equipment and verifies cost, quantity, usage etc. prior to payment to ensure vendor is paid in a timely manner. May also provide assistance with requests from Revenue Integrity to provide pricing support.
Oversees and maintains an inventory file and implant log, i.e. pace-makers, artificial joints, bone/tissue implants, etc. using the available tracking system, software and designed process. This work is performed based upon the individual facility needs and as agreed by Supply Chain and the Clinical department.
Uses the MMIS system for ordering, tracking, charging and usage reporting; updates the MMIS system files and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures; provides assistance with New Technology or BCAP requests.
This position may report to a senior manager or director. Incumbents are often called upon to procure specialty equipment in stressful, emergent situations. Internal customers are materials management, nursing, technical staff, and surgeons. External customers are equipment and supply vendors. May assist with interviewing, selection, and orientation of support staff as it pertains to procedural area support staff. Coordinates the daily work environment and prioritization of responsibilities for the procedural area support staff. Provides routine feedback to supervisory personnel regarding observations as it pertains to the procedural support staff's ability and performance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires business, math and communication skills, knowledge and abilities as normally evidenced by an associates in business or procurement, or equivalent experience and training. The position also requires skills and abilities typically acquired with 2 years of experience in a Healthcare Clinical area (Surgery, Cathlab, IR Lab, Endoscopy), materials management, or related area. Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and a working knowledge of surgical supplies and equipment.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position conducts and coordinates purchasing, ordering, inventory and other supply activities to provide for the timely acquisition of all materials and/or equipment and/or services for the medical center (or assigned departments) in accordance with purchasing policies, procedures, and contracts.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Conducts and coordinates the activities and processes of procurement, receipt, distribution, and charging of medical supplies and other materials for assigned area: Cath Lab, Central Supply, Capital Equipment, or multiple hospital departments.
Regularly takes and accounts for inventory of all goods in assigned areas. Monitors usages, shelf life, stock rotation. Conducts needs analysis and determines optimal inventory levels of each item. Tracks and maintains assigned equipment.
For assigned surgical or special usage areas, assesses upcoming schedules for procedures, physician preference cards and other sources of future needs forecast information. Orders special items and coordinates the receipt, storage and delivery of such items.
Uses a materials management information system for ordering, tracking, charging, and usage reporting. Updates MMIS system files and ensures compliance with policies.
Conducts Quality Management work as assigned.
Works independently under general supervision. Follows and creates work procedures. Analyzes needs and determines own work routines to meet needs. Solves routine or daily supply chain problems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires business, math and communications skills, knowledge and abilities as normally evidenced by an associates in business or procurement, or equivalent experience and training.
Requires the knowledge normally acquired over two or more years experience in Materials Management and/or the medical field, with a broad understanding of medical supplies, medical supply handling, and inventory management. Requires effective verbal and written communication skills, leadership and human relations skills, and excellent customer service skills. Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital or Boswell Skilled Nursing Facility must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
Requires keyboarding skills and the ability to use and maintain information, charges and reports in a materials management information system.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with Lawson Materials Management Information System (MMIS) is preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred. Additional related clinical or procurement knowledge and experience is a plus.

POSITION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for ordering, inventory and other supply activities to provide timely acquisition of all materials and/or equipment (non-Capital) and/or services for Clinical Procedure area or areas as assigned in accordance with the purchasing policies, procedures and contracts. It is also a requirement to maintain appropriate inventory levels of routine and specialty supplies for the Clinical Procedural department(s).
CORE FUNCTIONS
Conducts and coordinates the activities and processes of procurement, receipt, distribution, stocking and inventory management of medical supplies and other materials for the assigned Clinical Procedure area. This will also include Recall management and product returns. Interacts with the Finance department to monitor compliance with point of use technology systems.
Receives requests for special order supplies and procures them for the correct patient, procedure, date, and time. Coordinates with the Clinical department to arrange any special delivery needs from a vendor or other department or facility, if necessary. Verifies that the supply request is within the boundaries of Supply Chain Contract Compliance. Arranges evaluations of new products, including contacting vendor representatives and arranging demonstrations. Participates in contract and procurement process.
Regularly takes and accounts for inventory of all supplies in the assigned areas. Uses independent thinking to decide the appropriate inventory levels and monitors usage, shelf life and rotates stock to avoid product expiration in conjunction with inventory associates. Conducts routine needs analysis and determines the optimal inventory levels for each item. Tracks and maintains all Consignment items.
Daily assesses upcoming schedules for procedures and other sources for future supply needs. Orders specialty items and coordinates the receipt, storage and delivery of these items. Is available after normal business hours to answer questions from the Clinical department to assist with sourcing needed supplies.
Promotes and monitors cost containment and encourages conversion to System standardization of products and equipment. Works with vendors, gets quotes and makes recommendations for purchases. Attends system product evaluation meetings to relate the needs of the departments regarding product comparison substitution and availability. May also participate in the planning of supplies, equipment and materials for new construction move-ins and re-models.
Receives and reviews vendor sales order sheets for specialty supplies and equipment and verifies cost, quantity, usage etc. prior to payment to ensure vendor is paid in a timely manner. May also provide assistance with requests from Revenue Integrity to provide pricing support.
Oversees and maintains an inventory file and implant log, i.e. pace-makers, artificial joints, bone/tissue implants, etc. using the available tracking system, software and designed process. This work is performed based upon the individual facility needs and as agreed by Supply Chain and the Clinical department.
Uses the MMIS system for ordering, tracking, charging and usage reporting; updates the MMIS system files and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures; provides assistance with New Technology or BCAP requests.
This position may report to a senior manager or director. Incumbents are often called upon to procure specialty equipment in stressful, emergent situations. Internal customers are materials management, nursing, technical staff, and surgeons. External customers are equipment and supply vendors. May assist with interviewing, selection, and orientation of support staff as it pertains to procedural area support staff. Coordinates the daily work environment and prioritization of responsibilities for the procedural area support staff. Provides routine feedback to supervisory personnel regarding observations as it pertains to the procedural support staff's ability and performance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires business, math and communication skills, knowledge and abilities as normally evidenced by an associates in business or procurement, or equivalent experience and training. The position also requires skills and abilities typically acquired with 2 years of experience in a Healthcare Clinical area (Surgery, Cathlab, IR Lab, Endoscopy), materials management, or related area. POSITION SUMMARY
This position coordinates a smooth patient flow process by answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, providing registration of patient and insurance information, obtaining required signatures following established processes, procedures and standards. This position also verifies insurance coverage, validates referrals and authorizations, collects patient liability and provides financial guidance to patients to maximize medical services reimbursement efforts. This also includes accurately posting patients at the point of service and releasing information in accordance with organizational and compliance policies and guidelines.

Confirms patient appointments for the following day as necessary and ensures patients are properly prepared for visits.
Demonstrates proactive interpersonal communications skills while dealing with patient concerns through telephone calls, emails and in-person conversations.
