Being part of the SPD team puts you in an environment that supports patient care and allows you to continue to grow within the Banner family and as a Lead Sterile Processing Tech, you will have a direct impact on the department and the growth of other techs. You will provide services in the decontamination and sterile processing areas whenever monitoring of sterilizers is needed. As the Sterile Processing Lead you will collaborate with OR staff to provide sterile instruments and equipment needed for operative procedures. You will be assisting with ongoing inventory of sterile supplies, equipment, schedule completion and communication for the department. In this role, you will perform duties in an independent manner with little or no supervision. As the Subject Matter Expect, you will have thorough knowledge of instrumentation, equipment and supplies. Requires certification as a SPD Technician or Certified Registered Central Service Technician.

POSITION SUMMARY

CORE FUNCTIONS
Performs all duties as a departmental technician. In addition to assigned areas related to a specific service line or associated area with PeriOp/CSPD.
Applies judgment in determining the priority level of instrumentation and equipment requests for a specific specialty service line or shift. Recommends scheduling of procedures based on equipment and instrument needs to ensure effective patient flow.
Coordinates with department staff in assuring service line priorities are met and completed in a timely manner.
Possesses in-depth knowledge of service line/shift and precepts new employees at all levels regarding service line with respect to specific issues, troubleshooting and training to include Competency Achievement Plan signoff
Oversees assigned service line in a competent and professional manner. Investigates, proposes solutions, follows through with issues from various department staff such as sterile processing, OR, core support and hospital supported areas to ensure safe effective patient care. Confirms problem resolution and reports to leadership all related staff and service issues.
6.Responsible for reviewing current and future OR schedules, projects future equipment and instrument needs while ensuring instruments will be processed and ready to meet the daily OR schedule.
Inventories instrumentation and trays for service line and orders appropriate replacements or additional depending on usage. Collaborates with OR Manager on the number of tray/sets and instruments needed, making recommendations to inventory levels to meet changing demands.
Incumbent assists the Operating Room and other areas in the procurement of medical supplies, instruments, and sterile processing issues. Internal customers are other company staff, physicians, patients, visitors, managers, and executives. External customers are vendors, patients, visitors, other facilities, and non-company medical facilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Requires national certification as a SPD Technician, Certified Registered Central Service Technician.
Requires proficiency level typically acquired with two years of sterile processing experience including knowledge of surgical instrumentation, patient related supplies, materials and equipment, aseptic and sterilization techniques. Must have mechanical aptitude with the ability to break down moving parts, clean, lubricate and reassemble. POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs prescribed specialized radiographic procedures as directed by following department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Performs radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes.
Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies. Demonstrates competence in the administration of radiopharmaceuticals and other approved medications.
Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to radiation safety policies.
Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
Independently performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols to patients. Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Requires national certification American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by state regulatory agency if applicable. Advance certification by accrediting body in specialty required if applicable within 18 months of hire (and/or equivalent clinical experience for Cath Lab only). BLS certification.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 2 years of experience. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve problems.

As a HIMS Technician you will be responsible for a variety of functions including the release of information, documenting, regulatory, compiling, processing, and maintaining patients' medical records on-site. POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the maintenance and preservation of confidential electronic health records. The position performs a variety of HIMS functions, including one or more of the following: record completion, transcription coordination, document imaging, release of information, and/or providing services and information to physicians and staff. May analyze the electronic medical records for quantitative and qualitative completion based on the facility's medical staff rules and regulations, company policy, and State, Federal and other regulatory agency requirements.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Conducts routine releases of health information in accordance with company policy and all state and federal laws.
Reviews and analyzes health information typically through the use of electronic health record tools for provider completion and record deficiencies in accordance with the Joint Commission, CMS, state licensing agencies, Medical Staff rules and regulations, and HIMS Department standards. Accurately maintains data related to deficiencies in the Electronic Medical Record.
Provide customer service and assistance related to HIMS departmental functions to patients, vendors, providers, ancillary staff, and other departments in person, over the telephone, through email, or by other means including coordinating birth registrations with State recording processes.
Performs the document imaging function as required, including scanning, Quality Control and Validation, to ensure scanned images are uploaded into the correct electronic health record visit and meet minimum productivity standards as defined.
Perform current and retrospective review of scanned documents as needed through the certification process in an effort to maintain the integrity and completeness of the Electronic Medical Record and meet minimum productivity standards as defined.
Perform a variety of other support functions including assistance with basic transcription issues and requests, providing training for Dragon/voice recognition applications, assisting patients with completion of portal enrollment, performing merges and combines in the EHR, answering telephones, and other duties as assigned by HIMS leadership.
Works under regular supervision using defined processes. Conducts problem solving using a learned expertise in regulations and medical record requirements. Has assigned responsibility within a department or clinic. Customers are physicians and office staff, nursing and ancillary staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires the knowledge of health information practices and principles as normally demonstrated through completion of one or more years of post-high school education in medical records and information systems OR high school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge or one or more years of experience working with medical records and/or health information management.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively in oral and written formats; requires ability to inspect, read, and analyze written material. Must be able to perform and work on multiple tasks and organize and prioritize work. Requires good judgment, initiative and problem-solving abilities, along with effective teamwork skills.
Requires strong technical skills in the use of software applications and databases. Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Is knowledgeable and proficient in accessing and utilizing all applicable EHR systems as well as other applications utilized by the HIMS department.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Current enrollment in the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Program. A background in the use of medical terminology for the assigned area is preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

Facilitates the safe, equitable and timely placement of donor organs in conjunction with the donor procurement agency on a 24 hour on call basis in accordance with the regulatory agencies. Possesses advanced knowledge of OPTN/UNOS regulations and allocation policies. Collects and communicates patient information necessary for decision making regarding organ acceptance/rejection for transplant with the organ procurement agency and transplant surgeon. Reviews potential recipient's current medical status to determine eligibility for transplant. Demonstrates advanced prioritization and critical thinking skills in order to contact/locate patient(s), arrange admission and pre-surgery procedures, schedule surgery and the surgery team, and educate patient/family.
Interprets and administrates current payor contracts to best meet the financial needs of the patient and program while maximizing facility and program reimbursement. Possesses integral knowledge of multiple payor contracts. Applies this knowledge to assure that services being furnished to the patients are in compliance with contract stipulations. Obtains appropriate transplant authorizations for services rendered for each phase of the transplant.
Establishes and promotes a collaborative relationship with physicians, third party payers, and other members of the health care team, utilizing effective oral and written communication. Serves as a resource to payors, health care providers, patients, physicians and their office staff for the referral of patients or re-directs to alternate transplant programs as required by insurance constraints. Educates other health care providers, payors and patients on concepts of managed care, managed care networks, transplant networks, individual care policies as it pertains to solid organ transplant.
Serves as a resource to the community, patients, family members, potential living donors, primary care physicians and payers regarding the transplant process. Develops and presents education and marketing programs. Participates in community and professional education efforts to promote transplantation and organ donation.
Participates in the transplant program's quality assurance program. Evaluates current processes, identifies need for change and implements change via process improvement projects to achieve the optimal clinical, financial, operational and satisfaction outcomes. Acts as a change agent by continually monitoring processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Implements change through a multi-disciplinary work group process.
Internal customers include patients, families, transplant surgeons, transplant interdisciplinary team, management, nursing and medical staff, and other members of the hospital interdisciplinary health care team. External customers include referring physicians and office staff, laboratories, third party payers, pharmacies, community agencies, provider networks, and regulatory agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires current RN license in state of practice. BLS certification is required.
Requires a minimum of two years clinical nursing experience; to include a clinical specialty area such as ICU, PCU, CM, OR, ED, Dialysis, Oncology or Telemetry. Must have a working knowledge of care management, resource/utilization management, and hospital and community resources. Must demonstrate clinical proficiency in the care of transplant patients. Requires critical thinking skills to effectively coordinate a large volume of patients simultaneously. POSITION SUMMARY
This position demonstrates accountability for operating room readiness ensuring sterile surgical instrumentation and disposable supplies are complete and ready for a procedure prior to the preceding patient leaving the operating room. Responsible for the proper care and handling of all general and specialty instrumentation including the cleaning, decontamination, disassemble/reassemble, quality assurance, instrument identification, set assembly, packaging, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instrumentation for PeriOp Services, hospital departments, and clinics.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Provides decontamination and sterile processing support to PeriOp Services, ED, ICU, hospital wide departments, clinics both on and off campus, and ambulatory surgery centers. Provides various levels of service for the management of sterile surgical instrumentation and disposable patient care supplies. Support may-or-may-not include, decontamination of surgical instruments, assembly/sterilization, sterile instrument storage, partial or complete case cart support, OR core tech support and high-level disinfection.
Responsible for the decontamination, assembly, and packaging of surgical instruments following established protocols, instructions for use (IFU) as well as performs required quality assurance, repairs, reassembly, documentation, sterility handling, and storage of specialized surgical instruments. Maintains required sterilization logs and quality assurance records relating to all equipment associated for the purpose of decontamination, HLD disinfection, and sterilization.
Ability to interpret the surgical schedule and medical terminology as it pertains to scheduled procedures requiring sterile surgical instrumentation and disposable supplies needed. Able to address and communicate special needs to minimize delays to surgery. Responds to emergent calls from the Operating Room and performs preliminary investigation. Determines priority level of instrumentation requests and other hospital needs. Directs services in a competent and professional manner while assuring OR priorities are completed in a timely manner.
Able to differentiate surgical instrumentation that is surgery owned, consignment/loaner, hospital depart, surgeon, ambulatory surgery center, and clinics both on and off campus. Completes necessary tracking of surgical instruments with a paper log sheet or computer process for instrumentation leaving the area. Reports needed replacement of surgical instruments to maintain the inventory and support readiness of sets.
Utilizes specialized equipment for the decontamination, high-level disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation according to the device and equipment manufacturer's recommendations and hospital policy. Operates steam and hydrogen peroxide sterilizers of various sizes with the potential of operating ethylene oxide sterilizers where available. Operates automated surgical instrument washers, ultrasonics, flush pumps, and cart washers to include high-level disinfectors where supported.
Operates various quality assurance testing equipment associated to flexible endoscopic scopes, transesophageal ultrasound probes, and electro-surgical insulation defect detector for laparoscopic and energy provided surgical instrumentation. Utilizes heat detection devices to allow steam sterilized surgical instrumentation to be released for use without risking burns to staff and patients. Operates demagnetizers of stainless-steel instruments for ophthalmic and delicate cardiac surgical instrumentation for safe use on patients. Utilizes various borescope devices to inspect inner channels of lumened surgical instrumentation and flexible scopes.
Maintains a clean and safe environment by adhering to Standard Precautions and Infection Control practices. Staff follow protocols for proper donning of personnel protective equipment (PPE) while completing the decontamination process referencing IFU's supplied by the manufacturers.
Maintain flexibility to rotate shifts and adjust hours as needed, maintain a work record of regular attendance, timely arrivals, and departures, maintain professional appearance appropriate to position and function.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Must have mechanical aptitude with the ability to break down moving parts, clean, lubricate and reassemble, problem solve incomplete trays and missing instrumentation and have effective organizational, communication and human relation skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Complete national certification as an SPD Technician within two years of hire.

POSITION SUMMARY

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent program for other modalities (MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CAT Scan, Mammography, Diagnostic imaging).
Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or modality qualified licensure (NMTCB, ARDMS, ARMRIT). Licensure by state regulatory agency required, if applicable. Advance certification by accrediting body in specialty required (MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CAT Scan, Mammography), if applicable. BLS certification required. Depending on certification and modality(ies) coordinating, may be assigned to a single modality or Multi-Modality Medical Imaging Coordinator role (Ultrasound Coordinator, MRI Coordinator, Mult Mod Med Img Coord, etc.)

Under the supervision of an RN preceptor, our nurse externs will have the chance to practice various skills, including: assessing patients, administering medications, adjusting IV pump rates or devices, parenteral fluids, blood products or IV flushes, initiating, titrating and discontinuing oxygen, and performing basic data collection in an EMR. In addition, our nurse externs will have the chance to practice any skill for which they have received didactic and clinical instruction for an can provide evidence of a skill checklist from an accredited nursing program. Throughout the program, our nursing externs are also able to spend time with the clinical case manager, observe procedures, or participate in other activities relevant to the patient population with which they are involved.
We are currently looking for Nurse Externs to join our team at Banner Churchill Community Hospital in Fallon, Nevada. Shifts can be days or nights with a minimum of 1 shift per month/12 hours per month. More shifts may be offered depending on department needs.

POSITION SUMMARY
This positioin, under the direct supervision of a licensed professional registered nurse, will allow the nursing student within one year from graduation with a Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing prior to passing State Boards, the ability to expand their clinical experience while working through standard Nurse Extern competency assessment on a wide variety of patient care activities, which include classroom training, participation in patient care planning, implementation, observation and evaluation, as well as identification/reporting significant observations. The unlicensed Nurse Extern role is not a permanent position. Employment will be impacted based on criteria outlined in the Nurse Program policy.
CORE FUNCTIONS

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of an RN preceptor, our nurse externs will have the chance to practice various skills, including: assessing patients, administering medications, adjusting IV pump rates or devices, parenteral fluids, blood products or IV flushes, initiating, titrating and discontinuing oxygen, and performing basic data collection in an EMR. In addition, our nurse externs will have the chance to practice any skill for which they have received didactic and clinical instruction for an can provide evidence of a skill checklist from an accredited nursing program. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for all dispatching and coordination of aeromedical transports for the facility and provides support to the communications / transfer center. Demonstrates job expertise in the assigned area. Provides leadership in clinical, financial, and personnel management within the department.

Assists with oversight of the operations of the unit to ensure smooth and efficient patient transfer management.
Assists in management of the unit to ensure patient and employee satisfaction while promoting safety and retention. Serves as a real-time resource and assists with job expertise for unit staff and physicians for problem-solving on patients, processes, and family issues.
Participates in coordination of quality initiatives and process improvements. Aligns and manages to metrics.

Facilitates unit meetings and shared governance / leadership efforts.

Assists in the development of the operational and capital budget, provides daily operational resource management including staff, supplies, and equipment, and ensures optimal productivity for the department.
Supervises Transfer Center unit staff to ensure excellent patient care. Internal customers include patients, staff, and physicians. External customers include patient family.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
EMT or equivalent training, three years - five years experience in an EMS dispatching center. Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of dispatching, EMS, nursing and healthcare as normally obtained through related work experience. Supervisory experience required
