POSITION SUMMARY
This position coordinates a smooth patient flow process by answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, providing registration of patient and insurance information, obtaining required signatures following established processes, procedures and standards. This position also verifies insurance coverage, validates referrals and authorizations, collects patient liability and provides financial guidance to patients to maximize medical services reimbursement efforts. This also includes accurately posting patients at the point of service and releasing information in accordance with organizational and compliance policies and guidelines.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Performs registration/check-in processes, including but not limited to performing data entry activities, providing patients with appropriate information and intake forms, obtaining necessary signatures and generating population health summary.
Verifies insurance eligibility benefits for services rendered with the payors and documents appropriately. Assists in obtaining or validating pre-certification, referrals, and authorizations
Calculates and collects patient liability according to verification of insurance benefits and expected reimbursement. Explains and provides financial policies and available resources for alternative payment arrangements to patients and their families.
Enters payments/charges for services rendered and performs daily payment/charge reconciliation in a timely and accurate manner. Balances cash drawer at the beginning and end of the day and prepares daily bank deposit with necessary paperwork sent to centralized billing for record purposes.
Schedules office visits and procedures within the medical practice(s) and external practices as necessary. Maximizes reimbursement by scheduling patients in accordance with payor plan provisions. Confirms patient appointments for the following day as necessary and ensures patients are properly prepared for visits.
Demonstrates proactive interpersonal communications skills while dealing with patient concerns through telephone calls, emails and in-person conversations. Optimizes patient flow by using effective customer service/communication skills by communicating to internal and external customers, care team, management, centralized services and HIMS.
Assists in responding to requests for patient medical records according to company policies and procedures, and state and federal laws.
Provides a variety of patient services to assist in patient flow including but not limited to escorting patients, taking vitals and patient history, assisting in patient treatment, distributing mail and fax information, ordering supplies, etc.
Works independently under regular supervision and follows structured work routines. Works in a fast paced, multi-task environment with high volume and immediacy needs requiring independent decision making and sound judgment to prioritize work and ensure appropriateness and timeliness of each patient's care. This position requires the ability to retain large amounts of changing payor information/knowledge crucial to attaining reimbursement for the services provided. Primary external customers include patients and their families, physician office staff and third party payors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Requires knowledge of patient financial services, financial, collecting services or insurance industry experience processes normally acquired over one or more years of work experience. Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision and to work independently.
Requires strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to effectively interact with a wide range of audiences. Strong knowledge in the use of common office software, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software are required.
Employees working at BUMG, BUMCT, or BUMCS in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
Employees working at Banner Scottsdale Sports Medicine, second floor must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Work experience with the Company's systems and processes is preferred. Previous cash collections experience is preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.
CORE FUNCTIONS

Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.

Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to safety policies.
Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to the radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
Independently performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols to patients. Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
National Certification required from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(R) or ARRT(NM)) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB (CNMT)).
State Licensure required for AZ, WY, NV; includes Radiography or Nuclear Medicine and CT license prior to hire (not required in Colorado).
Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography required within 18 months of hire from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT(CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board - NMTCB (CT).
Certification for BLS is required.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with two years of experience. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve problems.

This position is responsible for the evaluation, planning, administration and supervision of Physical Therapy treatment in accordance with physician referral, state and national organizational standards, regulatory agencies, and established departmental policies and procedures. POSITION SUMMARY

May administer medications in accordance with established policies and procedures or as directed.
Provides clerical support with patient/client notifications and documentation to include but not limited to complete medical records including labs, authorizations, X-Rays, hospital records and any previous care pertaining to each patient visit. Provides complete and accurate information necessary for billing related to the patient encounter in a timely fashion.
Maintains a clean, functional environment including cleaning and disinfection of equipment, exam rooms and storage areas. Disinfects equipment and instruments using appropriate solutions following sterilization procedures. Follows manufacturer's recommendations and OSHA guidelines in handling of hazardous substances. Performs basic maintenance of equipment and coordinates needed maintenance for prompt repairs.

The Faculty of the Department of Pathology plays a key role in supporting the mission of the College of Medicine to bring about better health and improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases for the people of Arizona and beyond through education, research, and patient care.The selected candidate will receive an academic appointment to the University of Arizona that is commensurate with experience.
We seek an excellent apheresis and transfusion medicine physician who has demonstrated outstanding apheresis practice and clinical care, organizational abilities, and medical education. A successful candidate would envision the opportunity of crafting a robust apheresis and cell collection program, supported by an eager hospital system and hematology/oncology group with the expectation of continued expansion. Most of the responsibility will remain with apheresis in program-building, consultation, and medical education, but coverage of transfusion medicine/blood bank responsibilities is expected and flexible. Excellent opportunities exist for collaborative research with a variety of departments including hematology/oncology, surgery, pediatrics.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the establishment of internal Apheresis Service at BUMCT
Support the FACT-accredited laboratory and clinical operations of the hematopoietic cellular therapy, chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell, and transplantation program, inclusive of providing consultations for patients with suspected or documented platelet refractoriness, bloodless transplant protocols, anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody therapy, and ABO-incompatible hematopoietic progenitor cell transplants.
Leads Apheresis Service quality and safety initiatives, present key indicators at hospital Performance Improvement Council meetings, and participates in process improvements through corrective and prevention actions.
Shares Transfusion Medicine Service with the Director of TM.
Minimum Qualifications:
MD/DO
Board Certified in Clinical Pathology and Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine
Completion of fellowship training and/or significant additional expertise in Apheresis, including stem cell and CAR-T collections, transfusion service
Minimum years of experience:3+ Hold or be eligible for State of Arizona Medical License
Demonstrated record of scholarly activity appropriate to academic medicine, Clinical Scholar track.
Teaching experience (medical students, residents and/or fellows) in academic pathology

Our ED APPs manage the emergency care of our patients across the spectrum of presenting complaints, order diagnostic labs and imaging, diagnose and treat disease, manage and prescribe medications, and perform a wide range of urgent/emergent procedures.The ideal candidate will be able to practice independently and involve the attending physician when necessary. Over the years, we have forged a strong partnership and high-level of trust with our physician colleagues. The ED APP team at Banner - University Medicine takes pride in their collective teamwork, educational enrichment, and high acuity environment that inspires growth. Our role in the department is evolving, and we answer the call to meet the ever-changing needs of our community.

Minimum Qualifications:
Emergency Medicine or Acute Care experience preferred
Current State of Arizona license
Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Current prescribing privileges, including a DEA license for controlled substance
Current CPR, BLS, PALS, and ACLS
New APP graduates will be considered
Work Schedule: Full-time | Primarily Night Shift | 5 pm - 2am | Rotating | No Call!

Qualified candidate is required to be board certified and is expected to provide compassionate, evidence-based and multidisciplinary care to cancer patients.Our APP will beinvolved in clinical management of patients, leading serious discussions with patients and their families about their malignant pain management, complex symptom control, inpatient end-of-life care, and providing consultations regarding goals of care and advance care planning.
