Registry/Per Diem positions do not have guaranteed hours and no medical benefits package is offered. Completion of post-offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen and background check (includes employment, criminal and education) is required.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position will prepare, dispense, and compound medication under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Provide prescription support services for patients to ensure safe, appropriate, effective and efficient delivery of medication therapy. Provide excellent customer service skills, high attention to detail, strong problem solving, documentation and computer skills. Work closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to support pharmaceutical care activities, complete pharmacy billing activities, record keeping, reporting, inventory management, and arrange appropriate medication delivery.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, review and interpret prescriptions.
Prepare and dispense appropriate amount of medication under supervision of a pharmacist. Deliver medications accurately to the patient.
Answer phones, accept prescriptions, and may communicate with patients in waiting area.
Assist with inventory, maintain a clean work environment, and assist with any other administrative duties as assigned by supervising pharmacists or senior technicians.
Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and perform other work assignments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
Incumbents in Arizona are also required to provide the AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card at time of hire.
Minimal experience, typically gained through 0-2 years relevant work experience. Ability to attend and successfully complete 160 hours of on the job training required. Strong customer service focus, superior problem-solving abilities. Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand-held calculator is required.
BSS Registry Team members and Travelers are not eligible to drive on behalf of Banner and are not required to possess a valid driver's license or be eligible for coverage under the company's auto insurance policy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associates or bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Proficiency and experience with third party claims adjudication and claims rejection reconciliation preferred. Proficiency and experience with non-sterile, sterile and hazardous drug compounding preferred. Work experience which demonstrates analytical ability, judgment and interpersonal skills in pharmacy or healthcare preferred. Experience and proficiency with computer software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) or comparable program.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position records medical details, gathers data, and coordinates tests, orders and results as necessary to ensure an accurate and complete medical record. Assembles and maintains patients' health information in medical records and charts by assisting medical providers and physicians. No medical decision making is performed.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Accompanies provider during patient examination.
Accurately and thoroughly documents pertinent patient information as instructed by the provider. Records details of chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, social history, past medical history, family medical history, allergies, medications, problems and diagnoses, history and physical, and any pertinent positive and negative findings.
May propose orders in the EHR based on clinical setting.
Documents details of procedures and treatments, laboratory test results, radiology test results and assists with documenting radiographic impressions performed by the provider.
Assists with verifying all tests (lab, x ray, EKG, etc.) have been completed and the results have been received, reviewed and recorded in the medical record.
Selects patient education leaflets from the EHR as instructed by the provider.
Assists in preparing paperwork for patient discharge.
Maintains confidentiality of all patient information.
Works under the direction of Physicians or independent licensed practitioner providing documentation assistance. Internal customers include patients, facility personnel, medical providers and physicians. External customers may include patient family.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Employees working at Banner Scottsdale Sports Medicine, second floor must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

As a Cardiac Rehab RN you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document plans of nursing care for patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing development. The Cardiac Rehab Nurse assists and treats cardiac and pulmonary patients who are recovering from procedure. They guide patient down to a more heart healthy path in order to lower the risk of health problems in the future. This is a fun and rewarding role assisting patients on their road to recovery.
Schedule: 36 hours per week; Monday-Thursday. Monday and Wednesday 7am 5pm; Tuesday and Thursday 7am- 4:30pm. No weekend, call or holiday requirement.

POSITION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY
This position records medical details, gathers data, and coordinates tests, orders and results as necessary to ensure an accurate and complete medical record. Assembles and maintains patients' health information in medical records and charts by assisting medical providers and physicians. No medical decision making is performed.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Accompanies provider during patient examination.
Accurately and thoroughly documents pertinent patient information as instructed by the provider. Records details of chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, social history, past medical history, family medical history, allergies, medications, problems and diagnoses, history and physical, and any pertinent positive and negative findings.
May propose orders in the EHR based on clinical setting.
Documents details of procedures and treatments, laboratory test results, radiology test results and assists with documenting radiographic impressions performed by the provider.
Assists with verifying all tests (lab, x ray, EKG, etc.) have been completed and the results have been received, reviewed and recorded in the medical record.
Selects patient education leaflets from the EHR as instructed by the provider.
Assists in preparing paperwork for patient discharge.
Maintains confidentiality of all patient information.
Works under the direction of Physicians or independent licensed practitioner providing documentation assistance. Internal customers include patients, facility personnel, medical providers and physicians. External customers may include patient family.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.

POSITION SUMMARY

Maintains adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies and completes requisition forms when supplies need to be ordered. Reconciles supply order upon delivery.
Monitors and tracks the use and whereabouts of electronic equipment such as patient ID scanners and lap top computers. Ensures that all are accounted for and in working order.
This position works under local supervision and has responsibility for assigned unit only. Incumbents work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with a strong focus on customer service. Interacts with other health unit secretaries and other staff at all levels throughout the facility. Customers are patients, families, physicians, unit staff, case managers, patient service staff and medical records staff. Interacts with a wide variety of external customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Requires skills and abilities typically attained with 1 year of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital or physician office setting, or prior experience in customer service. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess knowledge of nutrition and dietetics demonstrated through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and/or Dietetics. Must be a Registered Dietitian or RD Eligible based on academic and professional requirements as defined by the Commission on Dietetic Registration(CDR) of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Effective January 1, 2024 CDR requires a minimum of Master's degree to be eligible to take the registration examination. Must possess RD credentials within 6 months of hire. POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs insurance verification and authorization functions that support Patient Access Services and ensures compliance with both department standards and billing requirements. This position requires the ability to retain large amounts of changing payor information/knowledge crucial to attaining reimbursement for the services provided. This position is expected to reduce authorization-related initial denials/write-offs.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Uses department procedures and new hire training to accurately complete authorization initiation requests with payers for all service lines and validates existing authorizations requested by providers. Completes authorization initiation for acute and ambulatory visits. Utilizes standard authorization submission tools, websites, and documents authorization updates in Host systems.
Provides necessary information regarding authorization numbers and patient demographic information to appropriate staff, including billing. Provides information about the referral process to physician and staff. Documents and maintains records of all referral activity and authorizations in appropriate Host fields. Refers encounters for peer review to substantiate ordered procedures.
Responds to -provider orders- for tests, procedures, and specialty visits. Obtains authorizations for single and/or reoccurring visits required by various payers, including verification of patient demographic information, codes, dates of service, and clinical data. Representatives will stay current on payor requirements and utilization of third-party authorization submission software to complete authorizations.
Works independently from a remote location and follows structured work routines. Works in a fast-paced environment requiring independent decision making and sound judgment to prioritize work and ensure appropriateness and timeliness of each patient's care.
Follows escalation protocols for accounts not meeting authorization standards by working with the ordering provider, scheduling departments, PAS leaders, and administrative groups for resolution in all acute, ambulatory, Banner Imaging, and Oncology service lines.

POSITION SUMMARY

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Completion of approved dialysis training program or one year experience in nephrology patient care and current active participation in an ESRD facility.

Serves as first line resource to physicians and staff for equipment troubleshooting in all department specialties, general, ortho, ENT, neuro, peds, robotics, etc.
Functions as part of the OR patient care team in running the cell saver, laser, image guided equipment, video and microscope (balancing, exchanging lenses). Possesses an in-depth knowledge of specialized equipment through certifications.
Maintains appropriate documentation and databases for equipment repairs. Communicates to management, including physicians and staff members, as to the status of the equipment within department on a weekly basis.
Performs safety checks on all equipment prior to patient use. Assures proper electrical load distribution when multiple pieces of equipment are utilized for a surgical procedure in order to ensure safe patient care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Provides assistance in activities of daily living and completes necessary tasks to promote patient health, including assisting patients with basic hygiene needs, maintaining an optimum level of mobility and providing assistance with nutritional intake as needed.
Collects patient specimens and data, including vital signs, input/output and other delegated measurements in accordance with unit/facility policy and standards of care. Documents objective data and routine aspects of patient care. Assists in the transportation of patient specimens.
Recognizes and reports abnormalities and/or changes in the patient's health status and responses to treatment to a licensed professional. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for which care is provided.
Performs procedures and uses equipment as delegated by a licensed professional, consistent with demonstrated competencies and according to state scope of practice; procedures may include blood draws, foley catheters removal, EKGs, and EKG monitoring. Provides necessary supplies, support and assistance to medical staff and patients for unit specific procedures, under the direct supervision of a licensed professional.
Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support overall operating efficiency and effective flow of communication and information throughout the department. Participates in the resolution of customer problems or collects necessary data and follows through to appropriate person for problem resolution.
Maintains a complete patient record with admission, transfer, and discharge information, progress notes, and consent forms. Ensures that all reports and chart forms are scanned or filed into the patient's record. Ensures that charting forms are labeled and accessible if they are needed. Maintains adequate supplies of frequently used, patient education materials. Assists in the ordering of patient specimens. May transcribe and process physician orders effectively using the electronic medical record.
Maintains adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies and completes requisition forms when supplies need to be ordered. Reconciles supply order upon delivery. Monitors and tracks the use and whereabouts of electronic equipment such as patient ID scanners and lap top computers. Ensures that all are accounted for and in working order.
Based on area of assignment may assist with transporting patients, including pre-operative and immediate post-operative patients to critical care unit. Participates in OR room turnover.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for scheduling surgical, cardiovascular or obstetrical procedures using a computerized scheduling system. The position is also responsible for entering patient charges, orders, and other pertinent information into the system and compiling and reporting statistical information to management. The incumbent may act as an office liaison for department staff, physicians, and patient families.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Coordinates case times for elective, urgent or emergent surgeries, cardiovascular or obstetrical procedures in a computerized scheduling system. Verifies and reviews physician privilege status prior to scheduling. Interfaces with medical staff office to maintain log of current privilege status and maintains confidentially of all information. May acquire and maintain physician preference information and staff roster.
Acquires authorization numbers, History and Physicals, results of laboratory tests and verifies that they are current. Orders previous medical records for the day of the procedure, when necessary.
Types and prints physician orders for multiple physicians and departments. Schedules and maintains physician block time, and block time releases.
Enters physician's orders for lab, blood bank, medical imaging, and cardiology. Enters results of diagnostic tests, patient registration information and patient charges. Compiles data and prepares statistical reports for management.
Conducts charge management audits for assigned area. Reconciles charge packet information with the audit. Identifies missed or incorrect charges and corrects when appropriate.
Acts as a receptionist to assigned unit; answers phones, relays message. Greets and directs patients, visitors, physicians, and families and answers questions about policies and procedures. Acts as a liaison among nursing units, physician and staff to relay patient data. Screens requests for patient information and refers to appropriate staff. Records and types minutes of staff meetings, when required. Prepares and distributes staff call roster each month.
Enters facility work orders and supply orders when required by assigned department. Requests repairs/maintenance for business machines in the department. Arranges for pickup and delivery of instruments and equipment and completes all necessary paperwork.
This position has responsibility for scheduling surgeries and procedures and maintaining a smooth workflow in the area. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, under stressful situations, set priorities and maintain highly confidential information.
