Job Description:

This job is responsible for providing comprehensive advice and customized solutions to clients to help them achieve their financial goals. Key responsibilities include triaging client leads, making referrals to business partners based on client needs and asset thresholds, meeting with clients to review financial and investment goals, building a financial plan, and recommending brokerage products. Job expectations include applying and expanding knowledge by completing required licenses and trainings. This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Since this position requires SAFE Act registration, employees are required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process. Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Responsibilities:

- Works with clients to plan their short and long-term financial goals by building a financial plan with brokerage products, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, and banking and money managed solutions

- Recommends banking and investments strategies that align with client financial goals and needs

- Triages client requests and makes referrals to appropriate internal service providers based on client needs and asset thresholds

- Mitigates and controls risk as part of daily activities

- Identifies and engages potential new clients through referrals or financial center clientele

- Provides coaching and feedback to referral partners based on knowledge of client needs and potential product services recommended

Required Qualifications:

- Currently holds Series 7 & 66 (63 & 65 in lieu of 66) licenses. If you do not currently hold the 66 but have either a 63 or 65, an offer can be extended with the condition that a passing score is received for the missing series within 60 days.

- Has at least one year experience in the investments industry, including investment training and in-depth knowledge of investment products and services.

- Has at least one year experience working in the financial service industry and/or a sales environment where goals were met or exceeded.

The Merrill Wealth Management Team Financial Advisor (TFA) engages in:

  • Developing a book of business in order to meet and exceed the required performance hurdles

Ideal candidates:

The Team Financial Advisor Development Program is designed for individuals ready to make a career transition and follow their passion of becoming a Financial Advisor. Successful candidates have at least three years of full time sales experience in ever more challenging environments. The sales experience should include the successful use of outbound sales techniques to exceed sales goals. Financial acumen gained through work experience is ideal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performance Hurdles: A Team Financial Advisor (TFA) must acquire clients through personalized marketing techniques to meet minimum performance hurdles.

  • Registration and Licensing Requirement: A TFA is required to obtain necessary licensing and registrations (Series 7 and Series 66 and Insurance).

  • Education Requirement: A TFA is required to complete the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Investment Planning Course and the Financial Planning course.

  • Development Assessment: A TFA must successfully complete ongoing Developmental Assessments throughout the training. In preparation for the assessment, the TFA studies a variety of topics and may participate in developmental activities in the areas including but not limited to: Merrill strategy, products & services, wealth management process, desk top technology, marketing consultative sales skills and investment financial planning knowledge.

  • Performance Requirements: A TFA is expected to meet the performance and development requirements of the Financial Advisor Development Program and transition to a full Financial Advisor at the conclusion of the program.

Team Overview:

Global Risk Analytics (GRA) and Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) are sub-lines of business within Global Risk Management (GRM). Collectively, they are responsible for developing a consistent and coherent set of models, analytical tools, and tests for effective risk and capital measurement, management and reporting across Bank of America. GRA and EIT partner with the Lines of Business and Enterprise functions to ensure the capabilities it builds address both internal and regulatory requirements, and are responsive to the changing nature of portfolios, economic conditions, and emerging risks. In executing its activities, GRA and EIT drive innovation, process improvement and automation. The team develops and executes tests to evaluate the effectiveness of Bank of America's processes and controls, and adherence to applicable Laws/Rules/Regulations, policies, and procedures.

Role Overview:

The Sample & Test Developer is responsible for developing testing scripts that provide timely, useful, and actionable independent insight on the operational health of Bank of America's processes.

  • The developer will assess the quality of both manual and automated tests, validate data sourcing, conduct required sampling governance or distribute samples for testing, and design or revise sampling procedure documentation, with expert level efficiency and quality. This role is responsible for accessing pertinent databases or acquiring raw data from third party sources.

  • The developer works closely with process owners in the Front-Line Units and Control Functions (FLUs/CFs) to obtain an understanding of their processes, including underlying data, flows, and controls, and to identify risks to successful execution, so that appropriate testing and monitoring can be developed.

  • This role also entails partnering effectively with Global Compliance Operational Risk (GCOR), as well as various horizontal teams within Global Risk Analytics/Enterprise Independent Testing who provide operational, data sourcing, and technology infrastructure support. The outputs of the methodologies will be used to drive process improvements and timely detection of errors.

Job Description:

EIT is a centralized group within Global Risk Management responsible for independent testing of operational processes within the eight lines of business and enterprise control functions at Bank of America to ensure the company is in compliance with domestic and international laws, rules and regulations, and that risk and controls procedures are operating effectively. The Sampling and Test Development Specialist II, with minimal supervision, works in collaboration with the Test Owners, Front Line Units, other Sampling and Test Development resources along with the Test Execution Teams to design and assess the quality of both manual and automated tests, validate data sourcing, conduct required sampling governance or distribute samples for testing, and design or revise sampling procedure documentation, with expert level efficiency and quality. This includes driving test structure to support automation. They will make required changes to new and existing test scripts and test plan documentation, as well as sample and data requirements and maintain integrity within the system of record. The Sampling and Test Development Specialist II will independently gather test scripting and data requirements and work with data partners to ensure appropriate test design and sampling requirements are incorporated in to the Test Plans Evaluates if pilot testing is required and participate in testing as needed and participates in other phases of testing (intake, execution, reporting) to provide expertise and feedback on areas assigned. Maintains SOR (System of Record) tracking of test status per standards. Provides peer coaching and direction where needed. This role is responsible for accessing pertinent databases or acquiring raw data from third party sources along with all associated documentation and for documenting business procedures within testing scripts. The Sampling and Test Development Specialist II often acts independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with procurement of data to be used for testing and the structure and design of complex tests. This role will deliver high-quality results and manage, manipulate and summarize large quantities of data. The Sampling and Test Development Specialist II must participate in and occasionally lead additional projects across Sampling and Test Development including escalation of areas requiring process refinement and revision and taking leadership role to affect changes when needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Collectively, they are responsible for developing a consistent and coherent set of models, analytical tools, and tests for effective risk and capital measurement, management and reporting across Bank of America. GRA and EIT partner with the Lines of Business and Enterprise functions to ensure the capabilities it builds address both internal and regulatory requirements, and are responsive to the changing nature of portfolios, economic conditions, and emerging risks. In executing its activities, GRA and EIT drive innovation, process improvement and automation.   • The AMSM isa direct report to the Division Supervision Manager (DSM).

  • The AMSM protects the Firm, helps grow the business and serves the client by proactively managing and mitigating risk.

Key Qualifications for the role:

Job Description:

This job is responsible for supporting programs and projects specific to corporate change initiatives that impact how the bank does business, provides a product or service, or executes a function. Key responsibilities include assisting department managers with critical change initiatives and communicating, influencing, and negotiating both vertically and horizontally to obtain or leverage necessary resources. Job expectations include delivering regulatory and executive material and ensuring results align to program strategy, simplification, and new capabilities.

This role is a part of the Operations Management team and supports all of Client Protection. The role will be responsible for various program duties including SharePoint design, management, maintenance as well as adherence to Global Records Management standards. It will also be responsible for Voice of the Employee feedback through both Speak Up and internal processes such as Eureka. Key responsibilities will be to design new processes and/or program components, influencing key stakeholders, communicating to the broader organization, and ensuring compliance with policies and standards. This role will be the subject matter expert on the aligned programs and will need to execute at a high level of proficiency and proactiveness. Other programs and bodies of work will be aligned based upon business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with defining program controls, processes, procedures, reporting cadence, decision governance structures, and ways of working with key stakeholders

  • Partners closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new change initiatives

  • Supports the execution of defined tasks through tracking of program milestones and their statuses, developing program plans, and measuring progress against ongoing key performance indicators

  • Analyzes, evaluates, and overcomes program risks and produces program reports for managers and stakeholders

  • Identifies key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors to perform in alignment with the program objectives

  • Works with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department, leading them to negotiate decision making for efficient and effective resolution

  • Meets with stakeholders to provide transparency into project issues and decisions on services, builds positive relationships, asks questions, and uses tools to uncover root causes to challenges, identify opportunities, and make recommendations

Required Qualifications:

- SharePoint design experience including creating and managing workflow

- Demonstrated process design experience with emphasis on gap analysis and designing new processes that remediate gaps

- Ability to effectively communicate with managers, peers, and business partners on deliverables, timelines, and support needed

- Ability to effectively navigate a matrixed organization, influencing others to deliver where needed

- Ability to work in team-oriented environment with strong aptitude for problem solving

- Strong communication skills: written, verbal, presentation and meeting facilitation

- Strict attention to detail and dedication to flawless work product

- Adept at balancing multiple and competing priorities; outstanding organizational and planning skills

Pay range

$78,000.00 - $121,300.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
