Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting programs and projects specific to corporate change initiatives that impact how the bank does business, provides a product or service, or executes a function. Key responsibilities include assisting department managers with critical change initiatives and communicating, influencing, and negotiating both vertically and horizontally to obtain or leverage necessary resources. Job expectations include delivering regulatory and executive material and ensuring results align to program strategy, simplification, and new capabilities.
This role is a part of the Operations Management team and supports all of Client Protection. The role will be responsible for various program duties including SharePoint design, management, maintenance as well as adherence to Global Records Management standards. It will also be responsible for Voice of the Employee feedback through both Speak Up and internal processes such as Eureka. Key responsibilities will be to design new processes and/or program components, influencing key stakeholders, communicating to the broader organization, and ensuring compliance with policies and standards. This role will be the subject matter expert on the aligned programs and will need to execute at a high level of proficiency and proactiveness. Other programs and bodies of work will be aligned based upon business needs.
Responsibilities:
Assists with defining program controls, processes, procedures, reporting cadence, decision governance structures, and ways of working with key stakeholders
Partners closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new change initiatives
Supports the execution of defined tasks through tracking of program milestones and their statuses, developing program plans, and measuring progress against ongoing key performance indicators
Analyzes, evaluates, and overcomes program risks and produces program reports for managers and stakeholders
Identifies key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors to perform in alignment with the program objectives
Works with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department, leading them to negotiate decision making for efficient and effective resolution
Meets with stakeholders to provide transparency into project issues and decisions on services, builds positive relationships, asks questions, and uses tools to uncover root causes to challenges, identify opportunities, and make recommendations

Job Description:
This job is responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling to minimize loss exposure and negative impacts to the customer experience. Key responsibilities include utilizing a variety of systems such as Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and other relational data bases to provide analytical support on strategies, ensure goals are met, and propose policy and procedural changes within segmentation structures to produce optimal results. The Client Protection organization is hiring an analyst for our Fraud Prevention team. This analyst will be responsible for the following:
Drive analytics to develop fraud mitigation rules, carefully striking the balance across fraud risk, client impact, operational costs and revenue implications
Proactively managing fraud risk by urgently responding to immediate threats while keeping an eye toward future risks, vulnerabilities, and changes to the fraud landscape
Consistently challenge the status quo to find opportunities to develop and refine our fraud policies and procedures, working closely with the business, operations, and policy partners
Recommends ways to help the business achieve desired outcomes and make informed business decisions using data analysis outputs
Performs complex analysis of financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends to understand product performance and improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance
Leads coordination of the production of product performance reports and updates for senior management

Required Qualifications:
SAS/SQL Coding experience
Risk analysis, strategy development, or related experience
Basic understanding of 1st and 3rd party fraud, scams and/or mules
Ability to build and maintain relationships with line of business leaders and multiple stakeholders throughout the organization
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a complex and rapidly-changing environment
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Excellent time management skills.

3+ years of risk analysis, strategy development, or related experience

Overview of Team:
As a part of Global Risk Analytics, Global Financial Crimes Modeling and Analytics is responsible for enterprise-wide financial crime model development and implementation, ongoing performance monitoring and optimization, data usage, and research and development utilizing advanced analytical tools and systems. The Global Financial Crimes Modeling and Analytics team is made up of seven sub-teams:
- Financial Crime Model Development responsible for development and maintenance of all AML Feeder models as per acceptable model risk practices and defined performance parameters to meet firm's AML Risk Coverage, while maintaining operational viability.
- Ongoing Model Performance Monitoring & Review is responsible for periodically substantiating the ongoing fitness of financial crime models in accordance with a model's approved Ongoing Monitoring Plan (-OMP-). Ongoing Model Monitoring Reports (-OMRs-) assess environmental changes, model limitations, assumptions, process verification and outcomes analysis for each model. OMRs summarize trends in key metrics and provide critical analysis of model performance with respect to metric thresholds; identify threshold breaches and document remediation plans. In addition, the ongoing monitoring process includes the inline monitoring activities performed between reporting cycles, the results of those activities, and any escalations during the period.
- Economic Sanctions responsible for development and maintenance for Economic Sanction models. Provides capabilities to better solve data analytical problems in risk management, identify new business insights and opportunities from data, and enhance the firm's risk management tools.
- Engineering, Data & Analytics, Model Implementation, Event Processor Model Development is responsible for designing end-to-end data and process flows for model development, testing, and execution, including architecture setup; delivering model code to technology teams for production releases; developing models (Event Processor), analytics (Event Processor Performance Analysis, Transaction Monitoring Analysis) and tools (FinCAP) to enhance risk metrics and facilitate what-if/explain scenario analysis.
- Program Management & Regulatory is responsible for overseeing cross-functional initiatives and providing project management support to deliver timely execution of GFCMA's book of work, strategic initiatives, and critical activities in support of regulatory and audit deliverables.
- Business Management & Control is responsible for Strategy, Governance Oversight and Control, Resource Management, Process Excellence, Issue Management and COO function

Required Qualifications:
Strong subject matter expertise across various enterprise identity authentication technologies ranging from AAA (RADIUS/TACACS), 802.1X technologies (Wired/Wireless), RSA and token-based systems.
Experience with Aruba ClearPass Policy Server or Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) is required.

Overview of Team:
As a part of Global Risk Analytics, Global Financial Crimes Modeling and Analytics is responsible for enterprise-wide financial crime model development and implementation, ongoing performance monitoring and optimization, data usage, and research and development utilizing advanced analytical tools and systems. The Global Financial Crimes Modeling and Analytics team is made up of seven sub-teams:
- Financial Crime Model Development responsible for development and maintenance of all AML Feeder models as per acceptable model risk practices and defined performance parameters to meet firm's AML Risk Coverage, while maintaining operational viability.
- Ongoing Model Performance Monitoring & Review is responsible for periodically substantiating the ongoing fitness of financial crime models in accordance with a model's approved Ongoing Monitoring Plan (-OMP-). Ongoing Model Monitoring Reports (-OMRs-) assess environmental changes, model limitations, assumptions, process verification and outcomes analysis for each model. OMRs summarize trends in key metrics and provide critical analysis of model performance with respect to metric thresholds; identify threshold breaches and document remediation plans. In addition, the ongoing monitoring process includes the inline monitoring activities performed between reporting cycles, the results of those activities, and any escalations during the period.
- Economic Sanctions responsible for development and maintenance for Economic Sanction models. Provides capabilities to better solve data analytical problems in risk management, identify new business insights and opportunities from data, and enhance the firm's risk management tools.
- Engineering, Data & Analytics, Model Implementation, Event Processor Model Development is responsible for designing end-to-end data and process flows for model development, testing, and execution, including architecture setup; delivering model code to technology teams for production releases; developing models (Event Processor), analytics (Event Processor Performance Analysis, Transaction Monitoring Analysis) and tools (FinCAP) to enhance risk metrics and facilitate what-if/explain scenario analysis.

3+ years of SQL/SAS Coding experience
2+ years of fraud/fraud detection experience and/or 2+ years of analytical /financial experience (Payment card /Retail Bank Finance background preferred)
Proven track record of building and deploying Fraud process and control changes
Advanced Excel capability
Bachelor's degree, ideally in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, business, engineering, finance or operations research
Experience with Python and usage of more advanced analytical, visualization and data extraction tools (H2O, HUE, Pig, Spark, Hive, Tableau) is strongly preferred

Pay range
$79,700.00 - $118,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
