GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, performs all clerical business functions in a medical office, clinic or ambulatory setting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1.High school graduate or G.E.D required.
2.Medical Terminology, ICD-9 and CPT coding experience required.
3.Computer/typing skills of at least 40 wpm.
4.Medical secretary, medical assistant program graduate or medical office experience (minimum of one year) required.
5.Legible handwriting.
6.Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to interact effectively with patients and families, physicians and office staff. Must demonstrate sensitivity to the patient care situation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Secures, completes and verifies all pertinent patient demographic and insurance information (registration process) and enters data into computer.
Performs initial telephone triage/screening with referral to appropriate medical professional.
Schedules patients following established protocols, including referrals, testing, surgical procedures, specialist consults, etc. following physician orders. Assures referrals are insurance-appropriate.
Collects point of service co-pays and payments on account, balances cash drawer and ensures accuracy of bank deposit.
Sets up and organizes patients charts, obtains appropriate consent forms, and maintains file system for confidential patient records.
Reviews visit data, determines appropriate ICD-9 code from physician documentation and verifies CPT code. Enters data into computer system.
Enters appropriate billing charges into computer; retrieves data and runs reports as necessary.
Performs some patient care duties. (see department addendum)
Documents appropriate information in patient medical record.
Manages office supply and inventory needs.
Performs receptionist and file clerk duties, as well as, general office correspondence duties.
May be required to float based on staffing needs.

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The RN Clinical Float Pool assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for the organization including those for patient assessment and transfer. The primary function of this job, based on hiring tier, is to be available and flexible to float to various departments, and sites throughout the markets within the organization to provide patient care, which could include but not limited to scheduling day of staffing, more than one assignment location within a single shift, travel assignments, or seasonal staffing patterns. Participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of a clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse.

The Radiology Tech performs digital X-ray studies on patients per the orders placed by providers. The X-Ray Tech is a multi-skilled clinical professional who works within the scope of practice to assist in patient care under the direction of the provider.
Essential Functions
Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations, including proper patient positioning, immobilization, and utilizingappropriate radiation protection.
Sets up and adjusts supportive and immobilization equipment and devices as required by individual cases. Positions and handles patients with a high degree of safety and professionalism.
Accurately documents patient encounters within Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Determines and selects proper electronic and technical factors which safeguard the patient, x-ray tube, and equipment.
Maintains clinical and administrative skills to meet patient care and daily operational needs. Collect patient specimens and run point of care lab tests. Travel to other facilities for BSMH (Bon Secours Mercy Health) providers or adjusting work hours to meet patient care needs as directed by the manager may also be required.
Directs and practices sterile techniques to prevent cross-contamination of disease.
Reports immediately any malfunction, necessary adjustments, or repairs of equipment to supervisor.
Other duties include ordering supplies, lab, and diagnostic tests, disposing of contaminated supplies, patient registration, scheduling, phone triage, cash handling, check-in/check-out and performing scribing duties as needed.

Job Summary:
The Obstetrics (OB) Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:
Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status
Determining the priority of the patient's problems and needs
Implementing clinical nursing interventions to acute, critical patients that require intensive medical care
Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes
Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
Addresses the care provided to healthcare consumers in the context of woman-, newborn-, and family- centered care; and includes those who do not self-identify as women, or exclusively as women, as well as all people parenting newborns
Provides episodic (outpatient) and inpatient (at designated units) Obstetrical/Women's Health nursing care where applicable
Applies the nursing process in the care of women during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, gynecological, and other women's health issues and the neonate from birth until discharge with differing gestational ages, diagnoses, and complications
Delivers care to women of all ages requiring triage, prioritization, assessment, education, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency management

Job Summary:
A Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides basic health care and support to patients under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated healthcare professional. As part of our team, the Patient Care Tech (PCT) is responsible for sanitizing and cleaning patients' rooms, monitoring patients' health and vital signs as well as assisting patients with basic needs like feeding and grooming.

The Radiology Tech performs digital X-ray studies on patients per the orders placed by providers. The X-Ray Tech is a multi-skilled clinical professional who works within the scope of practice to assist in patient care under the direction of the provider.
Essential Functions
Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations, including proper patient positioning, immobilization, and utilizingappropriate radiation protection.
Sets up and adjusts supportive and immobilization equipment and devices as required by individual cases. Positions and handles patients with a high degree of safety and professionalism.
Accurately documents patient encounters within Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Determines and selects proper electronic and technical factors which safeguard the patient, x-ray tube, and equipment.
Maintains clinical and administrative skills to meet patient care and daily operational needs. Collect patient specimens and run point of care lab tests. Travel to other facilities for BSMH (Bon Secours Mercy Health) providers or adjusting work hours to meet patient care needs as directed by the manager may also be required.
Directs and practices sterile techniques to prevent cross-contamination of disease.
Reports immediately any malfunction, necessary adjustments, or repairs of equipment to supervisor.
Other duties include ordering supplies, lab, and diagnostic tests, disposing of contaminated supplies, patient registration, scheduling, phone triage, cash handling, check-in/check-out and performing scribing duties as needed.

Job Summary:
A Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides basic health care and support to patients under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated healthcare professional. As part of our team, the Patient Care Tech (PCT) is responsible for sanitizing and cleaning patients' rooms, monitoring patients' health and vital signs as well as assisting patients with basic needs like feeding and grooming.

Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes and/or concerns.

Job Summary:
The Patient Access Representative is the first line of quality service to our patients and the community, ensuring patient safety and identity protection. In addition, Patient Access services will be responsible for processing patient registration, verifying demographics, obtaining insurance cards and identification, and updating medical records accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, transcribing orders, explaining financial options to patients, and updating medical records accurately and efficiently.

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The Sterile Processing Technician Non-Certified, under general supervision, will inspect, clean, assemble, test, and processes patient care equipment, supplies, and instruments according to established policies and procedures and according to manufacturer's instructions for use. They will act in accordance to sterility per the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), The Joint Commission (JCAHO), Center for Disease Control (CDC), and state standards of practice. Primary duties may vary depending on area assigned.
Essential Job Functions
Performs decontamination functions including manual cleaning and processing of surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment according to manufacturer's instructions for use.
Applies proper knowledge of various detergents and chemical disinfectants for use in the decontamination and removal of blood, bone, and other body tissues from contaminated surgical equipment. Adheres to standard precautions while performing cleaning and sterilization duties.
Inventories, stocks, and delivers supplies, carts, equipment to all facility areas as indicated per facility guidelines. Orders, restocks, labels, and maintains proper inventory levels. Rotates stock, inspecting for outdates per market requirements.
Performs and documents quality control aspects of sterile processing using various information technology systems focusing on instrument tracking, surgery schedules, surgeon preference cards, supply ordering and management. Accurately maintains comprehensive quality assurance standards related to sterilization and infection control.
Operates and understands various sterilizers and sterilizing techniques required to produce sterile packages for use in the surgical setting keeping package assembly aseptic protocols in mind. Monitors sterilization regularly ensuring quality assurance through chemical and biological indicators and integrators.
Documents all activities as required within the outlined processes and reports variances that may affect the outcome of sterile products or patient care and safety.
Identifies and resolves infection control issues in and around transport of biological hazardous materials, including the use of universal precautions and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), as well as sterile product identification.
Demonstrates knowledge of the operation and testing of washers and/or disinfectors, steam, and hydrogen peroxide gas plasma sterilizers, and other facility specific equipment and instrumentation.
Identifies surgical instrumentation by surgical specialty: General, Gynecological, Robotic, ENT, Orthopedics, Neurological, Vascular, Obstetrical, Urological, etcetera. Including functionality testing, assembly and disassembly as required according to manufacturer's instructions for use.
Accessible for "on call" as scheduled and is available within the time frames as indicated by the department.

Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled clinical professional that provides indirect and/or direct patient care within the scope of practice and in alignment with the standards of excellence and quality. The Leader of Spiritual Services promotes the Mission of Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH) through the development and implementation of a continuum of spiritual care services which align with the Professional Standards of Chaplaincy and the BSMH Standards of Excellence in Spiritual Care. The Director is responsible to develop, organize, and manage department activities pertaining to the provision of Spiritual Care within the Greenville Market. The Director guides and educates patients, families, and employees, as well as communicates and provides liaison with the local religious community in accordance with the philosophy, mission statement and objectives of the ministry.
Occasionally, the Director, certified through the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), Neshama: Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC), or the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) performs the duties of the spiritual care staff. The Director, in conjunction with the CPE Certified Educator, provides oversight of the accredited CPE program. If ACPE credentialed, the Director may provide a unit or partial unit of CPE, if site has a CPE Program. The Director of Spiritual Care contributes to the integration and continuation of the Mission and Values of BSMH by assisting in coordinating efforts (including, but not limited to participation on the mission and ethics committees) to uphold the principles and traditions of the Catholic health ministry and the Ethical and Religious Directives (ERDs) for Catholic Health Care Services, the legacy of the founding sponsors, and a commitment to body, mind, and spirit health. The Director:
Leads, directs and manages the Spiritual Services department in a manner which best utilizes the professional skills of chaplains with a variety of clinical competencies.
Assures Spiritual Services is integrated into the multidisciplinary care team and integral to the broader care delivery system, including outpatient services.
Assures that sacramental ministry, spiritual support, and spiritual assessment is provided by chaplains, ordained clergy, Eucharistic ministers and pastoral associates.
Assumes responsibility for implementing the annual Spiritual Services Strategies.
Provides leadership in creating a spiritual environment that contributes to personal and organizational transformation that reflects the Mission of BSMH.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
A master's degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or the equivalent applicable education from an accredited institution.
Ordained or endorsed for health care chaplaincy by a recognized body such as one's denomination or faith tradition.
Certified through the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), Neshama: Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC), or the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC).
Knowledge of, and support for, the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services (6th ed, USCCB).
Preferred Position Qualifications:
Experience in a significant healthcare leadership role with clinical supervisory and operational decision-making responsibilities

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, performs all clerical business functions in a medical office, clinic or ambulatory setting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1.High school graduate or G.E.D required.
2.Medical Terminology, ICD-9 and CPT coding experience required.
3.Computer/typing skills of at least 40 wpm.
4.Medical secretary, medical assistant program graduate or medical office experience (minimum of one year) required.
5.Legible handwriting.
6.Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to interact effectively with patients and families, physicians and office staff. Must demonstrate sensitivity to the patient care situation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Secures, completes and verifies all pertinent patient demographic and insurance information (registration process) and enters data into computer.
Performs initial telephone triage/screening with referral to appropriate medical professional.
Schedules patients following established protocols, including referrals, testing, surgical procedures, specialist consults, etc. following physician orders. Assures referrals are insurance-appropriate.
Collects point of service co-pays and payments on account, balances cash drawer and ensures accuracy of bank deposit.
Sets up and organizes patients charts, obtains appropriate consent forms, and maintains file system for confidential patient records.
Reviews visit data, determines appropriate ICD-9 code from physician documentation and verifies CPT code. Enters data into computer system.
Enters appropriate billing charges into computer; retrieves data and runs reports as necessary.
Performs some patient care duties. (see department addendum)
Documents appropriate information in patient medical record.
Manages office supply and inventory needs.
Performs receptionist and file clerk duties, as well as, general office correspondence duties.
May be required to float based on staffing needs.

Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
Under the direction of a Licensed Professional (e.g., Physician or Nurse Practitioner), the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identifying and determining the priority of patient's problems/needs, and evaluating the process and outcome of nursing care. The LPN coordinates, provides, and directs patient teaching activities and coordinates the care provided by health team members. Radiology Technologist or GXMO - Mercy Health Urgent Care - Finneytown
The Radiology Tech performs digital X-ray studies on patients per the orders placed by providers. The X-Ray Tech is a multi-skilled clinical professional who works within the scope of practice to assist in patient care under the direction of the provider.
Essential Functions
Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations, including proper patient positioning, immobilization, and utilizingappropriate radiation protection.

Directs and practices sterile techniques to prevent cross-contamination of disease.
Reports immediately any malfunction, necessary adjustments, or repairs of equipment to supervisor.
Other duties include ordering supplies, lab, and diagnostic tests, disposing of contaminated supplies, patient registration, scheduling, phone triage, cash handling, check-in/check-out and performing scribing duties as needed.

Licensing/ Certification

GXMO Certification per Ohio requirements.

Job Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant is a key component of our team that works closely with the primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care to our community, ensuring services are provided within the Medical Assisting scope and state guidelines. The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for reviewing and updating health records, measuring vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms for upcoming examinations.
Essential Functions:
Provides excellent customer service skills by greeting patients and the community in a respectful manner
Prepares & reviews patient charts for upcoming visits by verifying that all diagnostic test results, hospital reports, and other medical records are correct and up to date
Measures vital signs such as pulse rate, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height

Job Summary
The Anesthesia Tech will perform various patient care, safety, and technical duties to support anesthesia and nursing teams in surgical and procedural areas. The Anesthesia Technician responds to patient-specific needs including blood, medications, supply, and equipment during the surgical procedure. This position is an active member of the Anesthesia OR emergency response/code team and assures all emergency safety equipment is available and in working order.
Essential Job Functions
Assists with anesthesia and other supplies as needed, medication management within scope of practice as directed by anesthesia and pharmacy.
Organizes anesthesia supplies &/or equipment to ensure availability. Responds to needs of anesthesia providers.
Cleans and disinfects instruments, high level disinfection and processing.
Assists with patients at risk for malignant hyperthermia and other duties within scope.
Performs anesthesia machine testing and support in various areas throughout the hospital.
Performs patient identification procedures to ensure proper delivery of blood products and medications.
Operates surgical equipment under the direction of a licensed provider.
Ensures all Operating Rooms, and pre/post rooms are adequately stocked with appropriate quantity of supplies and required equipment.
Ensures Operating Rooms, procedure and pre/post rooms are cleaned and prepared for the next patient to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Cleans equipment and implements infection control policies to support the anesthesia practices in surgical and procedural areas.
Assists anesthesia and nursing with patient care, patient equipment, and environmental maintenance activities in the Operating Room.
Helps with room turnover which includes stocking and cleaning and wiping down anesthesia carts between cases.
Sterile processing duties that involve sterilization, high level disinfection and cleaning and disinfection of instruments and equipment.
