Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care and teaching through nursing process. The Registered Nurse directs and guides activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing, and the established policies and procedures of the organization. Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position works at the direction of the Registered Nurse providing patient care and general duties in the organization. Registered Nurse (RN) - Associate Health - Cincinnati - Float

The Associate Health RN provides services for associates according to BSMH policies and procedures, professional standards, federal regulations, and CDC recommendations. Services include but are not limited to pre-employment follow-up, associate immunization program, respiratory protection program, communicable disease screening and exposure management. The Associate Health RN works closely in collaboration and referral with Human Resources partners, people managers, Infection Prevention and Quality & Safety to ensure program success.

Maintains current knowledge of associate health regulations, recommendations and accreditation standards applicable to BSMH facilities. Assist BSMH managers and staff with compliance. Provide input to policy/ procedures, guidelines, protocols related to associate health services. Participates in surveillance activities to identify associate health risks.

Performs surveillance on associate health records, including new hires, maintaining them in a confidential manner. Utilizes associate health information system to record and retrieve associate health data and to prepare reports as directed and requested.

Collaborates with: Associate Health Medical Director, Infection Prevention to prevent the spread of communicable disease between patients and staff, Wellness team for referrals and consultations.

Participates in direct service delivery, including but not limited to immunizations, TB screening, color discrimination testing, respirator fit testing, communicable and blood borne exposure management. Organizes testing and immunization programs to include Hepatitis B, influenza and respirator fit testing.

Collaborates with managers and Absence Management Specialists for needs related to leave of absence to include FMLA, MLOA, PLOA and ADA leave as accommodation.

Mandatory vaccination program compliance and administration

Provides pre-service volunteer TB screening and volunteer influenza immunizations.

Actively participates in entity committees including but not limited to Infection Prevention, Environment of Care, and Quality and provide data for trending associate risks and strategies for improving associate's health and safety

Ensures EMR is updated to reflect patient care as appropriate

Required Minimum Education:

Bachelor of Science Nursing

Licensure/Certification Required :

Registered Nurse in the state practicing

BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association

JOB SUMMARY:

Required: Obtain RN License within 90 days. If requirement not met due to board failure, must be obtained within 60 days of fail date. Failure to obtain within the extended period will result in immediate removal from position. BLS certification through American Heart Association is required.

Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Patient Care Tech (PCT) provides direct patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated health care professional in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and within the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the organization.

The PCA/PCT performs a variety of basic age-specific duties to assist in the care of the patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). St. Charles Hospital Behavioral Health institute (BHI) is an 84 bed/5-unit facility that provides treatment to individuals that are 18 years and older that are facing a mental health crisis that place them at risk of harm to self or others/or having difficulty caring for themselves related to exacerbation of their symptoms. The facility provides inpatient psychiatry in a locked, secure space by a multidisciplinary team of behavioral health professionals that includes but is not limited to- psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychiatric nurses, behavioral health technicians, recreational therapist, and social workers. The team works together coordinating care to provide a safe and supportive environment that includes individual or group therapy and medication management. The goal of the multidisciplinary team is to provide emergency stabilization, symptom relief and coordination of care that enhances treatment and recovery to all the individuals that we care for. We are looking for individuals who have mental health experience and or individuals that have the compassion to care for this type of vulnerable population.

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the RN, the BHT II provides direct patient care and participates in maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu. Assists licensed nursing staff by performing technical skills and assisting patients with activities of daily living on the unit. Ability to execute all tasks contained in BHT I job description. Facilitate and/or co-facilitate psych-educational/recreational groups.

Job Summary:

This housekeeping role is responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of all patient areas, work areas, offices and public areas. The housekeeper must practice good cleaning habits to provide a safe and sanitary environment for all patients, visitors and staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and additional cleaning functions

  • Transports trash, hazardous waste, soiled linen, and recyclable trash to appropriate disposal areas

  • Replenishes supplies and materials in assigned areas and patient rooms

  • Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair as well as report any problems

  • Follows all safety and sanitation regulations

  • Demonstrate proper use of Personal Protective equipment (PPE)
