Summary:

Performs patient evaluations, re-evaluations and establishes patient treatment plan based upon the referral from the physician / referral source. Documents the patients' care and directs supportive staff regarding treatment process. Provides leadership to Physical Therapy Assistants, Students, Rehab aides and Volunteers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Reviews physician referral, patient's condition, and medical history to determine physical therapy treatment needs.

  • Performs and documents patient evaluation, re-evaluation and develops treatment and discharge plans.

  • Plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to patients.

  • Plans programs involving physical agents, directs care and performs treatments for various physical activities.

  • Modifies treatment goals and plan of care as appropriate. Involved in patient care conferences as appropriate.

  • Instructs patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.

  • Responsible for overall management of patient cases including communication and coordination of care with the treatment team.

  • Precepts in the direction and evaluation of clinical experience /internship of students from participating colleges or universities.

  • Orients, instructs, and directs the work activities of assistants, rehab aides, students and volunteers.

  • Stays abreast of current developments and new technology in physical therapy.

  • Instructs, motivates, and assists patients to perform various physical activities and with use of assistive devices.

Employment Qualifications:

Specialty/Major: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy

Licensure/Certification Required : Licensed in State of Ohio PT/OT/AT Board

Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identifying and determining the priority of patient's problems/needs, and evaluating the process and outcome of nursing care, all in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team. The RN coordinates, provides, and directs patient teaching activities and coordinates the care provided by health team members.

- Administers medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and Bon Secours Mercy Health policies and procedures.

- Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments.

- Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.

- Serves as patient advocate in collaboration with spiritual care, palliative care, and ethics.

- Serves as a point of care with care coordination and family members or caregivers.

- Clinically manages patients with multi-system organ failure and/or multisystem trauma.

- Using the AACN Synergy Model, restores, supports, promotes, rehabilitates, or palliates to maintain the physiologic, psychologic, and psychosocial stability of patients across the lifespan.

- Synthesizes and prioritizes information in order to take immediate and decisive evidence-based, patient-focused action using clinical judgement and clinical inquiry.

Medical Laboratory Technician I (MLT) - Mary Immaculate Hospital

Job Summary:

The Medical Laboratory Technician I (MLT) is responsible for performing the routine test on blood, tissues, and other body specimens, as well as providing physicians with quality results using a variety of clinical laboratory equipment. The Medical Laboratory Technician I (MLT) must have a total understanding of patient safety and laboratory techniques necessary to guarantee complete patient safety and anonymity.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs analytical tests on biological specimens, in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner in compliance with documented laboratory procedures

  • Determines acceptability of specimens by performing visual inspections or by recognizing abnormal/ unusual results

  • Recognizes factors that affect measurements and results by taking the appropriate action according to protocols

  • Performs quality control for all testing and meets established ranges before patient results are released

  • Maintains a safe and efficient work environment by performing equipment checks, cleaning work area, monitoring temperatures following hospital policies, and troubleshoots laboratory equipment

  • Other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Must have one of the following:

  • Associates of Science in Medical Lab Technology

  • Responds to cardio-pulmonary resuscitations and actively participates as indicated by clinical circumstances.

Job Summary:

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:

  • Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status

  • Determining the priority of the patient's problems and needs

  • Implementing clinical nursing interventions to acute, critical patients that require intensive medical care

  • Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes

  • Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team

  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment

  • Observes the surgery and surgical team from a broad perspective and assists the team to create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the patient

  • Responsible for managing the nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinating the needs of the surgical team with other care providers

  • Provides pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including assessment and discharge instructions

  • Other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing

Certifications:

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association

  • ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred, not required)

  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association (preferred, not required)

  • CNOR Certified Perioperative Nurse (preferred, not required)

  • SGNA Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (preferred, not required)

Experience:

  • Two years of RN experience in Critical Care Department (preferred, not required)

  • Completion of OR internship program (preferred, not required)

Training:

  • Successful completion of Peri-op 101 (preferred, not required)

Job Summary:

The Obstetrics (OB) Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team

  • Addresses the care provided to healthcare consumers in the context of woman-, newborn-, and family- centered care; and includes those who do not self-identify as women, or exclusively as women, as well as all people parenting newborns

  • Provides episodic (outpatient) and inpatient (at designated units) Obstetrical/Women's Health nursing care where applicable

  • Applies the nursing process in the care of women during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, gynecological, and other women's health issues and the neonate from birth until discharge with differing gestational ages, diagnoses, and complications

  • Delivers care to women of all ages requiring triage, prioritization, assessment, education, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency management

  • Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization's policies and procedures

  • Other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing

Certifications:

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association

  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification - National Certification Corporation (preferred if interpreting fetal monitoring)

  • NPR Neonatal Resuscitation Program (required within 6 months of hire)
