CT Tech - Mt. Orab Medical Center
Job Summary:
The CT Technologist provides direct patient care by applying the skill of diagnostic imaging utilizing CT scanning equipment. They will assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by producing diagnostic CT scans.
Essential Functions:
Confirm that all pertinent patient and procedural data is correct.
Performs computed tomography procedures.
Properly positions and immobilize patients on CT scanning cradles.
Makes radiation exposures by energizing scanner.
Performs intravenous injections and administers oral, rectal, and IV radiographic contracts agents specific to procedures.
Assists the radiologist with biopsies and drainage procedures.
Maintains a working knowledge of all CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
Participates in on call rotation and timeout as required.

SUMMARY:
Under the direction of a Behavioral Consultant, or Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA), the Behavioral Technician directs, guides, teaches, mentors students with autism, and teaches/mentors new hires for behavioral/educational instructors. Uses the Applied Behavioral Analyses (ABA) techniques to reinforce desired behaviors set up through the programming. Treats students and their families with dignity and respect while helping to reinforce a positive and conducive environment for learning.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides one on one and small group instructions implementing daily and weekly programs as assigned by lead staff as well as assisting students in class routines and transitioning between activities
Uses ABA techniques to develop skills and behaviors as set up by the BCBA in areas of recreation, communication, motor, vocational, and socialization
Reinforce behaviors through the use of positive behavior supports as established by the ABA consultant
Works with new staff through training, modeling, and observation of ABA treatment techniques. Acts as a mentor for ideas and collaboration.
Lifts feeds, toilets, changes diapers, dresses, consoles child during the school day
Collects data, and writes separate anecdotal information on student behavior/progress for collaboration with other staff and instructional purposes
Assists in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers and preparing needed materials and supplies, as well as cleaning up after the child completes the activities
May need to travel to assist with the transition in a typical peer placement or go to a student's home to assist with the generalization of the student's newly acquired skills
Participates in in-service training and behavior analysis program training. Attends all staff meetings and recommended training programs and/or conferences.
Exercises tact, discretion, and confidentiality while assuring the safety and welfare of all individuals in the clinic
EDUCATION:
Required Minimum Education : 2 year Associates Degree', or must have at least 48 equivalent semester hours towards a post-secondary degree.
Specialty/Major: Autism related preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:

SUMMARY:
Under the direction of a Behavioral Consultant, or Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA), the Behavioral Technician directs, guides, teaches, mentors students with autism, and teaches/mentors new hires for behavioral/educational instructors. Uses the Applied Behavioral Analyses (ABA) techniques to reinforce desired behaviors set up through the programming. Treats students and their families with dignity and respect while helping to reinforce a positive and conducive environment for learning.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides one on one and small group instructions implementing daily and weekly programs as assigned by lead staff as well as assisting students in class routines and transitioning between activities
Uses ABA techniques to develop skills and behaviors as set up by the BCBA in areas of recreation, communication, motor, vocational, and socialization
Reinforce behaviors through the use of positive behavior supports as established by the ABA consultant
Works with new staff through training, modeling, and observation of ABA treatment techniques. Acts as a mentor for ideas and collaboration.
Lifts feeds, toilets, changes diapers, dresses, consoles child during the school day
Collects data, and writes separate anecdotal information on student behavior/progress for collaboration with other staff and instructional purposes
Assists in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers and preparing needed materials and supplies, as well as cleaning up after the child completes the activities
May need to travel to assist with the transition in a typical peer placement or go to a student's home to assist with the generalization of the student's newly acquired skills
Participates in in-service training and behavior analysis program training. Attends all staff meetings and recommended training programs and/or conferences.
Exercises tact, discretion, and confidentiality while assuring the safety and welfare of all individuals in the clinic
EDUCATION:
Required Minimum Education : 2 year Associates Degree', or must have at least 48 equivalent semester hours towards a post-secondary degree.
Specialty/Major: Autism related preferred.
Preferred Education : 4-year bachelor's Degree
Specialty/Major: Autism related preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required : Registered Behavioral Technician through the State of Ohio, Psychology board. If not currently registered must obtain within 120 days of employment

Summary of Primary Function

Job Summery:
Under general supervision, assists physicians in performing invasive and noninvasive cardiac, structural heart interventions, and vascular procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab (CCL). Prepares patients and procedural sites using aseptic techniques. Assists physicians by calibrating equipment, preparing supplies, devices and instruments for the procedure. Sets up, operates, and monitors complex digital medical and fluoroscopic equipment to ensure accurate image acquisition and expected patient outcomes. Utilizes multiple computer applications and medical devices for proper procedure documentation within the electronic health record (EHR). Responsible for monitoring, interpreting and calculating hemodynamic waveforms and EKGs. Assists with the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of patient care under the supervision of the physician in the CCL to promote safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care. Maintains an electronically and radiologic safe environment in the CCL. Maintains integrity of CCL supply inventory. Ensures accurate charge capture.
Essential Functions:
Extracts and documents all pertinent pre- procedural information obtained from patient and medical record.
Prepares patients for procedures using proper positioning and surgical prep of procedural site(s).
Maintains sterile technique while assisting physician duringcardiac adult and pediatric / EP/ vascular procedures. Requires the ability to prepare instruments equipment and medications before and during Cardiac/ EP/ Vascular Assists physician in cardiac/ vascular/ EP/ pediatric procedures.
Operates digital medical and fluoroscopic equipment during procedures.
Continuous monitoring of patients condition through interpretation of EKG and hemodynamic waveforms.
Requires documentation of procedural events and ensures accuracyof recorded waveforms and calculation. Finalizes procedural reports and transfers allimages and hemodynamic informationto the server.
Loads automatic injector with contrast media and injects via catheter at a rate of volume selected by physician.
Uses provided computer applications to ensure accurate charge capture on procedural and supply charges.
Requires stocking and inventory of equipment and supply readiness utilizing hospital inventory system.
Participate in unit performance improvement /quality management measures.
Job Requirements:
Required Minimum Education: Vocational/Technical Degree
Must be RCIS credentialed through Cardiovascular Credentialing International and/or RT through ARRT.
Must have BLS / ACLS certification.
Must have basic dysrhythmia course.
Work requires 6 to 12 months on-the-job training in electrocardiograph interpretation, aseptic techniques, and cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum Years and Type of Experience: Previous Cath Lab or RT experience preferred but not required.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must possess level of knowledge of heart anatomy, physiology and radiographic procedures generally acquired through two years education in an allied health science such as radiographic technology, nursing, or cardiopulmonary technology. Desirable to have registry as an invasive Cardiovascular Specialist through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International. Must have analytical abilities necessary to monitor and assess patient's condition, and to perform calculations for diagnosis of heart defects.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the physician, assists with the processing of patients in an ambulatory/office setting including diagnostic procedures. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Two years of previous experience in a physician's office or ambulatory care setting preferred.

Key Job Duties and Responsibilities
Directs patients to patient care areas and obtains chief complaint and/or reason for visit, vital signs, height and weight. Maintains patient flow in clinical areas.
Performs diagnostic testing (EKG, PFT, minor lab) as ordered. May perform venipuncture.
Maintains appropriate records including documentation, review of chart for current information, patient notes, dictation, etc.

Maintains inventory and stocks exam rooms. Maintains patient care equipment in good working order to ensure quality control procedures and in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Assists in ensuring compliance with the state, federal and other regulatory agencies.
Administers medications and documents.
May be required to float based on staffing needs.
Provides service to all age groups. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on assigned unit.

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The primary function and general purpose of the adjunct faculty position is to provide the opportunity to offer multiple sections of courses and/or offer courses outside the area of expertise of the full-time faculty. Responsibilities are focused upon providing excellence in teaching within the nursing curriculum.
Employment Qualifications
Ground teaching, learning assessment, and evaluation strategies in educational and curricular theory and evidence-based teaching research.
Plan and provide didactic, clinical, and/or laboratory instruction that reflects an understanding of the philosophy, objectives, and curriculum of the educational program.
Utilize innovative teaching strategies and information technologies to facilitate student learning.
Provide availability to students in order to answer questions/concerns regarding course material and expectations.
Evaluate student achievement of curricular objectives/outcomes.
Maintain accurate record of student achievement and submit documentation of such to both students and the registrar by established deadlines.
Meets specific faculty role expectations delineated in the Associate Handbook.
Engage in critical self-reflection regarding personal performance as a faculty member.
Manage time effectively for course preparation and learning activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
To teach nursing courses a master's or doctoral degree in nursing is required.
To teach non-nursing courses a master's or doctoral degree in the appropriate related field is required. *A doctoral degree is required for the ranks of academic associate professor, academic professor, and clinical professor.
Two years of clinical experience in the field required.
Two years of teaching experience preferred
Current license to practice as a registered nurse or in appropriate field in the Commonwealth of VA, as applicable.
Proficiency in basic computer skills to include Word, instructional technology, and clinical practice is required.
Certification in area of clinical expertise or as nurse educator preferred.

Surgical Care Technician/Surgical Associate PRN - St. Mary's Hospital
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the clinical staff by performing a variety of support functions to facilitate the delivery of surgical/procedural services to the patient and provide patient care necessary for comfort, hygiene, simple treatments. Job Summary:
A Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides basic health care and support to patients under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated healthcare professional. Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The Staffing Coordinator performs all scheduling, staffing, and timekeeping responsibilities for designated work areas within scope. This includes creating and editing schedules to filling open shifts, timecard management, as well as mobilizing staff for daily needs that surface
Essential Job Functions
Create and edit schedules for nursing departments into the electronic scheduling system following all hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assign specialty roles particular to each unit's operational needs.
Prepares accurate daily and/or shift work schedules, which reflect forecasted needs in collaboration with nurse managers
Approve or deny all schedule requests based on skill mix and needs of the unit, with communication to unit managers as appropriate.
Balance and publish schedules at the end of the self-scheduling period to ensure all skill mixes are covered for unit efficiency; determine the vacancy rate for the various roles in the department and post incentive shifts in accordance with the incentive policy for the ministry.
Adjusts schedule to accommodate needs through acquiring additional personnel or reducing scheduled staff. Contacts available staff to best provide for unit care requirements utilizing available resources to fill open shifts.
Within 24 hours of shift time determine complex department staffing needs and arrange appropriate coverage in the technology and communicate to the units.
Receive sick call notifications and manage unplanned shift vacancies; evaluate market staffing as a whole system to determine needs for recruiting associates for open shifts, leveraging technology to maximize inpatient resources with minimal fiscal impact to the hospital organization.
Maintain daily maintenance of unit/department schedules within the electronic staffing system. Effectively communicates critical or immediate staffing needs to nurse manager or their designee.
Approve or deny all timecard requests with attestations, with communication to unit managers as appropriate.
Prepare timecards for readiness for manager approval (Review and clean up exceptions)
Maintains staffing related records, files, and reports. Distributes reports to appropriate leaders, as determined by manager.
Assists with allocation of agency resources and other duties as assigned pertaining to contract labor.

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The incumbent shall be responsible for providing a full range of speech-language pathology services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in a team environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.
The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to performance improvement activities as applicable, problem solving, and productivity.
Employment Qualifications
The incumbent shall be a graduate of a Master's level program in speech-language pathology which is either accredited by the Educational Standards Board or whose course work and practice meet ASHA certification requirements.
The incumbent shall possess current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or be CCC eligible, and hold current state license as applicable.
Experience working with adult and geriatric populations is desirable.
Current BLS certification required or obtained within ninety days of completing new employee orientation.
Experience working in the acute care setting is desirable however is not required
