Responsibilities

Keeping our communities running in top-notch condition requires the skills of an experienced maintenance technician. Maintaining the interior and exterior of community buildings and grounds is a great career for the individual who likes working with their hands and tools. Our residents will appreciate your services as you keep public and private living areas up to expectations in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

Requirements to be a Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technicians will maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on, but not limited to: HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generators, landscape, kitchen equipment and emergency pull cord equipment. Maintenance Technicians will also perform general maintenance projects as scheduled or assigned and respond to maintenance requests by community directors and residents in both private rooms and public living areas. They will also maintain positive communication with local fire marshal, building inspector and any other jurisdictions governing the community.

Responsibilities

  • You will oversee full implementation of resident and family engagement's overall dementia care program as well as directly providing coaching and leadership of associates who are caregivers within the community. This includes providing oversight to ensure Care Associates deliver person centered programming, dining, and care.

  • Collaborate with leadership team providing dementia training, preadmission/move-in/move out process of residents, hiring, and education of associates regarding dementia care including how to lead programs and interventions for behavioral expression. You will plan and directly coordinate a calendar of dementia friendly programs that meet the specific needs of each and all residents within the dementia care community.

  • A Bachelor's Degree such as gerontology, therapeutic recreation or related field with a minimum of three years of management and direct supervision experience preferred. Experience with residents with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias in a residential setting is required.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a professional nurse, provides direct care to residents, which reflect Brookdale's philosophy and standards of home health care. Assists in meeting the residents' individual needs while treating the resident with respect and dignity.

  • Assists residents with the activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and getting to and from activities and meals according to the resident care/service plan.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all operations within the community, interacting with staff and residents, prospects, or their family members, as necessary.

  • Assesses local market and develops and implements a turnaround business plan to become the highest performing senior living community in the area. Creates, analyzes, and executes annual operating and capital budgets and holds department leaders accountable for department budgets. Manages community performance against turnaround goals; sets and continuously assesses plans to improve performance to Company service and financial standards, including adjusting plans as needed in discussion with district leadership.

  • In partnership with District Director of Sales, provides strategy, support and vision to achieve sales and occupancy goals through effective business development efforts in the market. Engages in business development activities and events in the market while representing Brookdale as the leader in Senior Living to all referral sources. Drives sales and marketing efforts in collaboration with the community sales leader to meet or exceed occupancy or revenue targets by assisting to develop new business, generate leads, and build strategic relationships. Engages with prospects who tour the community. Identifies trends and empowers sales leader to implement approved sales and marketing activities and strategies to maximize revenue (RevPAR).

  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with management team and encourages teamwork and collaboration; cultivates an inclusive community culture. Supervises, directs, and motivates community management while empowering department leaders to supervise, direct, and motivate staff; ensures department leaders proactively recognize and solve issues.   • For assisted living or memory care communities, creates and maintains collaborative relationship with community clinical leader(s) to ensure community's care and services are appropriate to meet the needs of residents. Oversees resident services including the admission process, healthcare management, and maintenance of resident documentation to ensure high quality services and compliance with Company policy and applicable legal requirements. Empowers department leaders to demonstrate the same for their respected area. Ensures clinical leader(s) conduct service plan reviews, consistent with applicable legal requirements, with resident families to maintain the personal dignity of residents.

  • Demonstrates a high degree of financial acumen as it relates to community operations. Analyzes, develops, and executes annual operating and capital budgets; works to meet or exceed budgeted revenue, profitability, and occupancy goals. Works with department leaders and district team to proactively create plans to overcome unanticipated expenses or revenue shortfalls. Responsibilities

Directs food service operations within the community including all food preparation, dining room operations and dining delivery services. Purchases all food and manages inventory ensuring effective cost controls and vendor service and quality. Ensures the highest nutrition and food quality for the health and pleasure of the residents. Complies with all federal, state and local regulations to ensure sanitary and safe operations. Plans and executes entertaining dining events and themes in conjunction with Activities Director, Marketing Director and other administrative staff to optimize the life and pleasure of the residents. May also cater events as requested by residents or staff.

  • Hires, trains and manages all supervisory staff for the kitchen, dining room, catering and delivery services. Ensures that supervisors maintain a safe and sanitary environment and provide a caring and pleasurable dining experience for the residents. Coaches supervisors in maintaining appropriate staffing levels and effectively motivating, disciplining and training associates.

  • Consults with chefs and cooks to develop and maintain pleasing and nutritious menus. Assesses and determines the desires and preferences of the residents regarding food selection and presentation through surveys and daily contact with residents. Ensures preferences are incorporated into the menu and events. Responsibilities

The Sales Education Facilitator (SEF) is the facilitator for the Brookdale School of Sales teaching sales associates the foundational selling skills they need to be successful in their role. Responsible for supporting the orientation of new sales associates throughout the organization.   • Partners with the team of Sales Learning Specialists and Lead Sales Education Facilitator to continue the concepts learned in the live training into the individual Brookdale communities. Works with field sales leadership to develop coaching plans that support positive growth with new hires once they return to the field from the instructor-led training.

  • Prepares for course delivery by mastering training content, including reviewing instructor notes and course materials. Able to model exceptional sales behaviors in sales system usage, including CRM, Competitive Intelligence and BI. Understands the design of the training materials, goals of the business, and learning needs of the participants in order to deliver training effectively.

  • Makes recommendations in the ongoing refinement and evaluation of course materials, including such items as presentation slides, instructor guides, student guides/workbooks, video support, intranet articles and field-based mentoring agendas, as appropriate, to the design team.

  • Utilizes knowledge of adult learning and motivation to guide new training, coaching and mentoring activities; uses a variety of mediums, including in-person meetings, webinars, and self-study programs to meet the learning needs of sales associates.

Responsibilities

The Sales Education Facilitator (SEF) is the facilitator for the Brookdale School of Sales teaching sales associates the foundational selling skills they need to be successful in their role. Responsible for supporting the orientation of new sales associates throughout the organization. Trains new hires on Brookdale's sales methodology and relevant processes/procedures and aims to instill a strong level of energy, enthusiasm, engagement and commitment to sales success in those attending the instructor-led training session.

  • Participates in the delivery of engaging instructor-led training sessions that align with the company's sales strategy. Serves as a subject matter expert on the application of selling skills in a community environment. Provides coaching and modeling of sales behaviors to all participants as part of the session. Utilizes established sales processes, systems, and forms to prepare participants for success.

  • Conveys the influence sales activities have on community success to empower participants to follow the Brookdale sales standards and partner with their non-sales community team members.

  • Maximizes sales results by teaching new hires how to effectively generate and qualify leads, develop sales meeting plans, conduct customer-focused community visits, solicit referrals from external sources, and conduct follow-up and lead nurturing activities.

  • Partners with the team of Sales Learning Specialists and Lead Sales Education Facilitator to continue the concepts learned in the live training into the individual Brookdale communities. Works with field sales leadership to develop coaching plans that support positive growth with new hires once they return to the field from the instructor-led training.

  • Prepares for course delivery by mastering training content, including reviewing instructor notes and course materials. Able to model exceptional sales behaviors in sales system usage, including CRM, Competitive Intelligence and BI. Understands the design of the training materials, goals of the business, and learning needs of the participants in order to deliver training effectively.

  • Makes recommendations in the ongoing refinement and evaluation of course materials, including such items as presentation slides, instructor guides, student guides/workbooks, video support, intranet articles and field-based mentoring agendas, as appropriate, to the design team.

  • Utilizes knowledge of adult learning and motivation to guide new training, coaching and mentoring activities; uses a variety of mediums, including in-person meetings, webinars, and self-study programs to meet the learning needs of sales associates.

  • Coordinates the logistical needs of sales training events with other team members, including set-up, roster management, facilitation and post-training accountability measures. Additionally, coordinates hotel, travel, meals, registration, communications, etc. for participants.

  • Tracks attendance, participant sales metrics pre and post BSS, and all other applicable data.

  • Measures the effectiveness of training programs through surveys and feedback from class participants and their managers; makes necessary adjustments to ensure the achievement of established objectives.

  • Provides additional support to Sales Learning Specialists as needed and as directed by the Manager of Sales Training Programs.

Qualifications

Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Education, or related field is required. 5 years of successful experience in a community sales, or equivalent role. Excellent facilitation, interpersonal and communications skills, including writing and editing. Proven experience in training is preferable. Knowledge of adult learning, training, professional development, mentoring and coaching preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special RequirementsCPLP or ATD Master Trainer certification is preferred. Some travel required, up to 50%.

Management/Decision MakingUses limited independent judgment to make decisions based on precedents and established guidelines. Solves problems using standard procedures and precedents. Knows when to refer issues to supervisor and when to handle them personally.

Knowledge and SkillsHas a working knowledge of a skill or discipline that requires basic analytic ability. Has an overall understanding of the work environment and process. Has a working knowledge of the organization. Strong public speaking, presentation, teaching and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure resident's healthcare needs are met.

  • Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity and ensures quality care as resident's healthcare needs change.

  • Ensures consistent quality resident care and service delivery throughout all shifts; this may require assuming the role and responsibilities of a Caregiver or Med Tech/Aide in order to meet the residents' needs and staffing requirements.

  • Assists in the supervision of community-based licensed nursing staff, medication technicians/CMA's, and Caregivers and provides training and education to Caregivers on an ongoing basis to include classroom in-services and situation-specific training. In addition, they will also manage the associates schedules.

  • Oversees and manages the continuity and consistency of medication training, pharmacy management and medication supervision and/or administration in the community. Conducts periodic Care Associate medication skills inventory checks, and periodic medication audits per Brookdale Guidelines .

  • Shares on call duties as required.

  • Education as required to obtain state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN) and a minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, the Data Analyst will assist in the execution and support of advanced reporting, new report design and development, and ad-hoc data analysis.

  • Perform data analysis, ad hoc reporting, testing, and data validation tasks.

Qualifications
