Responsibilities
Manages the Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) associated with a Brookdale Senior Housing community. The home care agency's average monthly service hours provided are typically between 700 and 2000 hours. Ensures the efficient and effective operation of the Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) and interdisciplinary team process.
Provides direct management of all Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) associates, which is typically 10 to 20 associates, including a BAH Scheduler Coaches, counsels, disciplines, and completes performance evaluations for staff. Ensures adequate staffing coverage for the provision of services on a day-to-day basis.
Motivates associates through staff appreciation, recognition, and incentive programs. Promotes positive associate relations and resolves grievances.
Provides orientation, training, and education to staff on an ongoing basis. Settings include classroom, in services, and situation specific training.
Ensures that community and corporate policies are disseminated and followed by all Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) associates.
Provides input into the development and implementation of the annual Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) budget.
Works in conjunction with community associates and the administrator concerning the implementation and monitoring of agency services and clinical program, if applicable and per state regulations related to the Home Care Agency specifically.
Ensures effective Quality Assurance Program.
Partners with community administration in preparing for state survey or other regulatory processes.
Markets the Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) agency to any appropriate audience.
Coordinates clinical services for the agency, if applicable, and per state regulations.
Responsible for the billing and scheduling of services or the delegation of such tasks. Coordinates alternative resources for associates and families.
Manages documentation process to ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness andcompliance with guidelines. Complies with all Safety and Infection Control, Universal Precautions, and OSHA standards.
Maintains current knowledge of national and state requirements for scope of practice, supervision, credentialing and ongoing competency. Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
Consistently demonstrates sound judgment in the evaluation, planning, implementation and follow-up of the Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) agencies.
Maintains positive relationships and rapport with coworkers, residents, family members and community personnel. Participates in the following community committees as appropriate: Daily Stand-Up Meeting, Collaborative Care and Resident Council.
Participates in handling -on call- duties after hours and weekends.
Responds to calls after hours and weekends in a timely manner.
Available to staff working after normal business hours as a resource and manager.
Covers BAH cases in the event that care associates cannot be secured to provide services to client(s).
Manages on-call/after office hours and weekend's business needs as assigned.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred

Responsibilities
Supervises the general operating maintenance and repair of the buildings and grounds to maintain proper care of the assigned community(s) in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards/regulations and company policies.
Supervises scheduled maintenance on: H.V.A.C., elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generator, landscape, kitchen equipment, and emergency pull cord equipment.
Responds to maintenance requests by residents for items needing repair in their rooms, including repairing plumbing, electrical, heating and replacing light bulbs.
Supervises repairs and maintains vacated rooms in a timely manner. This includes painting walls and cleaning carpets. Inspects completed work for conformance to standards and policies.
Ensures walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in the common areas of the community are properly maintained.
Assists in the training of maintenance staff.
Maintains positive communication with local fire Marshall, building inspector, state elevator inspector, and any other jurisdictions governing the residence.
Conducts in-service fire safety training for all employees.
Repairs walls, floor coverings, doors, and wood work in the common areas of the community(s).
Assesses all plumbing and electrical problems within the community(s) and determines the best course of action to correct the problem. Works within the legal scope of local and state codes.
Reviews safety data sheets (SDS) as requested for potential exposure to hazardous chemicals used and takes necessary precautions.
Assess property damage and file property damage claims in accordance with company policy.
May directly supervise the maintenance technicians and building engineers, to include delegating tasks, hiring, training, evaluating performance, resolving disciplinary issues and firing.

Responsible for managing and leading prompt, thorough investigations of alleged workplace misconduct including, but not limited to, allegations of workplace harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour violations. Ability to analyze sophisticated information, develop valid fact-based conclusions using a variety of resources and techniques, and present findings in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing to all levels of management and leadership.
Conduct prompt and thorough investigations of alleged workplace misconduct. Ensure investigations are completed in an objective manner and brought to a logical conclusion. Ability to concisely explain the rationale for conclusions and recommendations.
Conduct thorough, professional, and efficient interviews of individuals accused of misconduct, witnesses, and reporting persons to obtain key facts for proper decision-making.
Analyze and evaluate complex information from multiple sources, including witness statements and other evidence, to make credibility determinations and fact-based conclusions.
Provide clear and well-written communications and documentation, including thorough and accurate case synopses to be delivered to leadership. Properly document, store, and maintain records of investigations.
Review and evaluate investigation records completed by community and above-community leaders to assess objectivity, fact-finding methods, and any information still required for closure. Prepare thorough written synopsis of each investigation and input synopsis into case management system.
Exercise discretion and sound professional judgment to maintain confidentiality of investigations and to timely escalate concerns to the correct levels of leadership.

Responsibilities
Manages the Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) associated with a Brookdale Senior Housing community. The home care agency's average monthly service hours provided are typically between 700 and 2000 hours. Ensures the efficient and effective operation of the Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) and interdisciplinary team process.
Provides direct management of all Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) associates, which is typically 10 to 20 associates, including a BAH Scheduler Coaches, counsels, disciplines, and completes performance evaluations for staff. Ensures adequate staffing coverage for the provision of services on a day-to-day basis.
Motivates associates through staff appreciation, recognition, and incentive programs. Promotes positive associate relations and resolves grievances.
Provides orientation, training, and education to staff on an ongoing basis. Settings include classroom, in services, and situation specific training.
Ensures that community and corporate policies are disseminated and followed by all Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) associates.
Provides input into the development and implementation of the annual Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) budget.
Works in conjunction with community associates and the administrator concerning the implementation and monitoring of agency services and clinical program, if applicable and per state regulations related to the Home Care Agency specifically.
Ensures effective Quality Assurance Program.
