Job Summary

Slices, packages, weighs, and sells various deli products, including meats and cheeses. Maintains the presentation and cleanliness of the deli, including deli display cases. Provides assistance to Members in the deli department.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Provides a high level of customer service to Members. Answers questions and recommends deli items. Answers Member calls and takes special orders.

• Slices, packages, and weighs deli products, including cheeses and meats. Helps Members select the correct products. Samples product to assist in purchasing decisions. Prepares and packages special orders and party trays.

• Receives and inspects deli shipments. Displays, stocks, rotate, and stores deli products following food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures.

• Ensures that all products are fresh and meet company quality standards. Checks for out-of-date products daily and follows appropriate product salvage policies and procedures.

• Ensures deli cooler shelves and deli display cases have a wide variety of product. Stocks and rotates deli items when necessary.

• Operates and handles deli equipment in accordance with safety policies and procedures.

• Cleans and sanitizes deli equipment and food surfaces throughout the department, including rotisserie ovens, cooking utensils, refrigerated cases, and the deli cooler.

• Ensures scale systems are in working order. Makes sure items are weighed and priced accurately.

• Maintains all club policies and procedures.

• Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.

Qualifications

• Work experience in a deli department preferred.

• Prior experience operating manual/power slicers and scales preferred.

• Knowledge of deli products preferred.

• At least 18 years of age.

Environmental Job Conditions

• Most of the time is spent moving about frequently on hard surfaces. There may be a need to occasionally position oneself to examine or scan merchandise, including bending, handling, pulling, reaching, and/or stooping.

As a Selector, you will properly, efficiently, and accurately pick product to neatly and accurately build pallets for our clubs. Our perishable distribution centers are temp controlled, ranging anywhere from 30 degrees in the cooler to -20 degrees in the freezer. Selectors will typically lift between 50-100lbs of product and operate powered equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Properly, efficiently, and accurately select damage-free product to build pallets neatly and accurately with appropriate product according to customer specifications with labels facing out, arrows facing up

• Verify product against pick tickets and case label and turn in complete, legible, accurate paperwork

• Maintain required productivity level at 100% standard

• Maintain accuracy levels at 99.9% standard

• Check condition of pallets and exchange where necessary

• Promptly report damage and all inventory discrepancies to supervisor

• Maintain cleanliness and repair of dock, and facility areas

• Assist in ensuring pallets are wrapped and stacked for safe transport to storage

• Safely operate appropriate Material Handling Equipment after training

• Maintain all food safety, housekeeping, and other applicable standards

Retail Supervisor

The Person in Charge works closely with the Club Manager and Assistant Club Manager in providing leadership and direction within the club while driving club performance by maintaining policies and procedures, delivering a positive service experience to Members, and providing leadership and direction. Acts as a key holder for the club. The manager is responsible to function as the Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned. Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

- Process Member purchases in a fast, courteous, and friendly manner by pulling merchandise from a pick list/(RF) device, physical breakdown of merchandise, building and shrink-wrapping packages, moving merchandise from sales floor to staging area.- Update merchandise locations, and operating equipment, to maintain consistency and organization with product placement and staging areas.- Utilizes a handheld scanner device (RF) device to pick orders from the sales floor. Uses handheld scanner device (RF) to verify merchandise. Must be able to proficiently master utilization of digital devices.- Communicates problems with inventory and/or equipment with Home Office and can recommend process improvements with inventory discrepancies.- Identifies expired or short dated Items included on pick list and communicates concerns with Club Leadership .- Ensures all orders are picked in a timely manner to meet all productivity requirements. Works with a high level of urgency to ensure deadlines are met. Ensures operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards are executed with 100% adherence to established SOP for BOPIC, BOPIC Fresh, Curbside and Ship from Club. - Teach, coach and train Omni Experience Ambassadors on club policies and procedures and best order pulling practices.- Directly manages and assesses Team Member performance, provides actionable feedback and coaches, teaches, and develops talent. Assists in hiring, training, and performance management of all Omni team member. Ensuring all departments are properly staffed. - Works with club team to have merchandise pulled from reserve area when possible, to avoid sales floor replenishment.- Ensures the product is properly wrapped and secured to the pallet prior to transport. Clearly labels pallets with required information. Oversees the package carrier pick up.- Prints staging ticket, packing slip, shipping labels, and other related documents.- Securely packages the order in accordance with standard operating procedures.- Processes the shipment through BJ's Fulfillment Center - Ensures the SFC/BOPIC area is neat, clean, and organized. Performs general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard from the work area. Handles damaged goods and spoiled products in accordance with standard operating procedures.- Processes returns to the club and makes determination on how to handle (via DDR or Membership desk)- Reviews and manages daily and weekly OMNI reporting. - Manage and maintain the company standards regarding SLA's and goals. - Reviews ordering and replenishment of supplies for the department.- Maintains all club policies and procedures.- Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.

Qualifications

- Demonstrate leadership capabilities, including driving team member engagement, managing/supervising cross-functional teams, training team members, and driving and communicating results. Able to own and deliver against strategic initiatives and objectives.- Committed to driving outstanding service to all Members.- Open shift availability required- Must be 18 years of age.- Previous supervisor experience preferred.- Previous order pulling experience preferred.- Previous RF scanner experience preferred.- Computer proficiency required.

Environmental Job Conditions

- Most of the time is spent moving about frequently on hard surfaces. There may be a need to occasionally position oneself to examine or scan merchandise, including bending, handling, pulling, reaching, and/or stooping.- Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.- Located in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment. There may be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers and/or coolers.- There may be occasional exposure to Company-approved cleaning agents.

Recovery Stock Clerk

Responsible for providing members with prompt and courteous service and assistance, replenishing, and stocking merchandise, and keeping the sales floor clean, neat, and fully organized.

Online Order Filler Omni Experience Ambassador

Oversees the frontline in the absence of the Front End Manager. Coaches, teaches and develops all frontline team members to ensure excellent member service. The Front End Lead teaches, develops and motivates all team members for the successful execution of membership programs and initiatives as well as front line operations. The FEL is responsible for monitoring, driving and coaching for desired membership/member experience goals and results. Ensures that all membership products are offered and Member orders/requests are processed in a positive, timely, and efficient manner. The FEL delegates work, monitors staffing and compliance with operational standards. Provides excellent customer service to our Members.

Retail Supervisor

The Person in Charge works closely with the Club Manager and Assistant Club Manager in providing leadership and direction within the club while driving club performance by maintaining policies and procedures, delivering a positive service experience to Members, and providing leadership and direction. Acts as a key holder for the club. The manager is responsible to function as the Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned. While MOD, the manager has responsibility to manage the entire Club, including all Club departments, to ensure excellent Member engagement, to address all concerns brought to the MOD's attention, and to escalate any concerns, as appropriate.

Utility Clerk
