Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to be based in one of our Southern California offices. Offices this hire can be seated in are Los Angeles, CA; Orange, CA; San Diego, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Murray, Utah or Albuqureque. NM.

As a people manager, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for mentoring and guiding the Federal design team to success. In addition to helping lead design development and review, the Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for client communication, consultant coordination, and contract administration. Project responsibility will be focused on a diverse portfolio within the Federal market sector.

The successful candidate must be a licensed Architect or engineer with strong, hands-on technical knowledge as well as proven experience leading a team through all phases of a project. The ideal candidate will have experience managing federal design projects and competence across federal design criteria, including UFC's, ETL's, AFMAN's, and AFI's.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

  • Performs various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for a specific technical group or department.

  • Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.

  • Plans and develops engineering tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.

  • Acts as the primary liaison between internal/external project partners, ensuring effective communication, development, coordination and implementation of action plans.

  • Ability to independently guide and resolve technical matters on project with ability to consult with Technical Leadership on complex building code issues, when necessary. Demonstrating a depth of expertise in Healthcare or large campus program/project management.

  • Operates with minimal supervision, receiving primarily administrative guidance, with assignments framed in broad general objectives and limits, showcasing a leadership role with significant autonomy.

  • Leads a team of Architects and/or designers, orchestrating and aligning the activities of the project.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS Architecture or Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Licensed Architect or Engineer

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must be open to travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • More than 12 years of experience, including experience with federal programs and managing projects and people

  • Direct experience managing projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)

  • Federal government portfolio (DOD, VA, GSA, etc.)

  • Experience with (UFC's, ETL's, AFMAN's, and AFI's.)

  • Additional credentialing such as PMP, DBIA, and/or LEEP AP

  • Experience in developing scope, fee, and terms for proposals and change orders for interdisciplinary teams related to building design and engineering.

  • Experience in implementing design quality assurance and quality control activities

  • Ability to interact regularly and professionally with senior management and technical staff in other offices on business development and project execution issues

  • Architect or Engineer with professional registration in the US

  • USACE CQM certification or equivalent

  • Industry certifications such as CCM or PMP

  • Holds or previously held a Department of Defense security clearance

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

  • Proven organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfaction while meeting deliverables and deadline requirements

  • Internally driven, self-starter, team orientated

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $125,000.00 - $165,000.00.

The Project Manager our team is seeking will lead and execute interdisciplinary projects that fall within our Federal market sector. This leader will be responsible for managing scope, schedule, and budget of projects across the project lifecycle - from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the delivery of projects from proposal phase through Client handover.

  • Acts as primary point of contact for Clients and manages the relationship with all stakeholders.

  • Manages all aspects of a project including project needs and requirements, schedule, fees, deliverables, contract terms and conditions, and the like.

  • Coordination of internal and external project team members.

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate; written, verbal, and presentations.

  • Provide senior management with project updates included status of project budget, deliverables, quality, and client relationship.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

  • Will participate in project pursuits, including generation of Scope of Work, project team, fee production, and review of terms and conditions.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field

  • 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Architectural Licensure or Professional Engineer

  • Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in a project leadership or management role overseeing complex architectural or engineering projects in the Federal market

Onsite Field Safety, Health & Environment Site Officer

AECOM is actively seeking a responsive, organized, detailed orientated Field SH&E Site Officer for immediate employment to support field Safety, Health & Environment and field operations efforts for AECOM's operations in Billings, Montana.   • Leads and supports installation and ongoing operations and maintenance of various remediation and environmental monitoring systems.

  • Leads and supports environmental media (groundwater, vapor, soil or other) sampling processes.

  • Coordinates with external facility operation resources to ensure compliance with all project-specific work requirements.

  • Provides mentorship and training to junior staff on operation and maintenance of remediation systems, field sampling, safety, or other relevant disciplines.

  • Provides oversight of internal and subcontractor work on environmental construction projects.

  • Reports to operational and project leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of relevant experience and/or education (such as HS Diploma or GED plus 8 years of relevant experience)

  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and criminal background check.

  • Valid driver's license required

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years relevant experience

  • Experience leading field teams

  • Knowledge or experience managing environmental compliance (RCRA, DOT, HAZCOM, etc)

  • Experience preferable in environmental construction projects.

  • Knowledge of Federal OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements

  • Ability to motivate others, build teams and maintain forward thinking approach

  • Ability to successfully influence and inspire others to work safely and effectively

  • Able to form trusted relationships with clients, subcontractors and facility operators.

As a people manager, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for mentoring and guiding the Federal design team to success. In addition to helping lead design development and review, the Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for client communication, consultant coordination, and contract administration. Project responsibility will be focused on a diverse portfolio within the Federal market sector.

The successful candidate must be a licensed Architect or engineer with strong, hands-on technical knowledge as well as proven experience leading a team through all phases of a project. The ideal candidate will have experience managing federal design projects and competence across federal design criteria, including UFC's, ETL's, AFMAN's, and AFI's.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

  • Performs various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for a specific technical group or department.

  • Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.

  • Plans and develops engineering tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.

  • Acts as the primary liaison between internal/external project partners, ensuring effective communication, development, coordination and implementation of action plans.

  • Ability to independently guide and resolve technical matters on project with ability to consult with Technical Leadership on complex building code issues, when necessary. Demonstrating a depth of expertise in Healthcare or large campus program/project management.

  • Operates with minimal supervision, receiving primarily administrative guidance, with assignments framed in broad general objectives and limits, showcasing a leadership role with significant autonomy.

  • Leads a team of Architects and/or designers, orchestrating and aligning the activities of the project.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS Architecture or Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Licensed Architect or Engineer

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must be open to travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • More than 12 years of experience, including experience with federal programs and managing projects and people

  • Direct experience managing projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)

  • Federal government portfolio (DOD, VA, GSA, etc.)

  • Experience with (UFC's, ETL's, AFMAN's, and AFI's.)

  • Additional credentialing such as PMP, DBIA, and/or LEEP AP

  • Experience in developing scope, fee, and terms for proposals and change orders for interdisciplinary teams related to building design and engineering.

  • Experience in implementing design quality assurance and quality control activities

  • Ability to interact regularly and professionally with senior management and technical staff in other offices on business development and project execution issues

  • Architect or Engineer with professional registration in the US

  • USACE CQM certification or equivalent

  • Industry certifications such as CCM or PMP

  • Holds or previously held a Department of Defense security clearance

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

  • Proven organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfaction while meeting deliverables and deadline requirements

  • Internally driven, self-starter, team orientated

SUMMARY:

The Senior National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)/California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Manager provides review and management support for the client's environmental processes, documents, permits, and facilitates delivery of the organization's environmental program. The position requires a person who can multitask and work with little supervision who can effectively aid the completion and coordination of environmental management duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the client on projects program wide.

  • Coordinates with the client to manage the environmental component of projects program wide, providing guidance, recommendations, document review, and schedule maintenance for all environmental clearance documents and processes.

  • Ensures timely and quality preparation of NEPA/CEQA environmental documents.

  • Attends weekly team meetings with various disciplines.

  • Provides direction to consultants regarding client standards, quality, and expectations.

Qualifications

Job Summary:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be expected to:

  • Serve as a Discipline Representative on projects

  • Have substantial knowledge of the California Mechanical Code, Title 24, ASHRAE standards, and NFPA, in addition to experience with analysis and layout of HVAC systems, hydronic piping, air distribution and HVAC products and materials

  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and judgement based on experience to design and construct HVAC and plumbing systems and equipment in buildings using building information modeling

  • Coordinate HVAC&P systems with other disciplines to produce complete building designs

  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration with 6+ years of experience

  • Strong mechanical code knowledge including International Fuel Gas Code, ASHRAE standards, NFPA and other relevant codes and standards

  • Experience in designing complex hydronic systems, steam, VRF systems and sustainable designs. This includes cooling towers, water cooled chillers, air cooled chillers, hot water and steam boilers, geothermal systems, heat exchangers etc.

  • Experience in developing specifications

  • Instrumentation and controls design/engineering experience is a plus

  • Medical gas piping design experience is a plus

  • Keep well organized files and documentation to meet regulatory requirements.

  • Performs a variety of tasks in support of project staff.

  • May gather and maintain specified records of scientific data for supervisor, including but not limited to environmental sampling, operations and maintenance and inspections at client sites.

  • Other activities may include assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation.

  • Participate in other environment-related projects and tasks as required, including, but not limited to, client WWTP operations at regional client facilities, often directing staff, as necessary.

  • Intimate knowledge of environmental regulations, practices, and procedures; recognizes differences or changes that would indicate the need for attention. Receives and maintains required safety training including OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER Training with annual 8-hr refresher, 30-hr OSHA Training, client-specific training, and regulatory specific training.

  • Position will include wearing associated personal protective equipment, including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses/goggles, safety shoes/boots, hard hat, and hearing protection while on project sites or as required by project task/work.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Environmental Science, Geology or Engineering, or closely related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

  • Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check.

  • Must be able to successfully complete initial and random screening requirements including drug, breathalyzer, urine and/or hair test.

  • Valid US Driver's License to operate an AECOM provided vehicle for travel to various project site(s) to support project task(s) assignments and scope of work. For positions with driving responsibilities, Motor Vehicle Records are reviewed as part of AECOM's background check process to ensure compliance with the Company's driving standards.

  • Candidate must be able to meet medical clearance requirements of an OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical surveillance physical exam.

  • Position requires availability for on-call duty. Employees who work on-call are expected to be available to work outside on their normal work schedule including weekends, on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of project management experience with verifiable experience managing or leading environmental projects

  • 5-10 years of experience in environmental consulting

  • Master's Degree is a plus

  • Experience managing and scheduling projects with environmental compliance related scope and/or wastewater operations, maintenance and inspection.

  • Experience working with Minnesota, Wisconsin, or other regional environmental regulatory agencies.

  • Experience communicating and coordinating field work with client, staff, subcontractors and vendors.

  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training

  • Professional Licenses or Certifications related to Environmental Compliance and/or Wastewater Operations

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our Novi, Michigan Remediation team. We are seeking candidates who will be able to immediately contribute to the successful delivery of existing projects. You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting, design, and implementation services to our key clients. AECOM is seeking a candidate who has a technical background in the environmental investigation/remediation consulting industry and who would like to grow their career into becoming an Environmental Project Manager.

Responsibilities for this position may include the following:

  • Task management and lead teams for field activities consisting of air, soil vapor, soil, and groundwater sample collection, geologic logging (unconsolidated sediments and bedrock), and interpretation.

  • Utilize basic scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop remedial approaches for soil and groundwater impact, including feasibility studies, removal action work plans, and remediation design plans.

  • Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.

  • Preparation of written reports including Part 213 Final Assessment Reports, Closure Reports, Environmental License Agreements, and Public Highway Institutional Controls.

  • Preparation and implementation of work plans, cost estimates, data compilation/analysis, and report preparation.

  • Preparation of proposals and cost estimates for new opportunities.

  • Execute fieldwork by directing and overseeing individual or multiple contractors (laboratory, drillers, surveyors, excavation contractors).

  • Liaison with site facilities, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.

  • Health and safety planning and hazard recognition.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable meeting with clients, regulatory case managers, colleagues, and sub-contractors alike.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • B.S. in the geology, environmental sciences, environmental engineering or related field and a minimum 4+ years of experience in environmental remediation consulting industry (private or public), with at least 2 years of task management/project management experience.

  • US Citizen

  • This role is subject to a background check, MVR check, Dru/Alcohol check, and enrollment in a Medical Surveillance program

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

  • 6+ years of experience in environmental remediation consulting industry (private or public).

  • Part 213 experience

  • Able to obtain PE or PG certification within 12 months of accepting position (if applicable).

  • Experience working on environmental remediation projects including field sampling, data analysis, report writing, task management, cost estimate and proposal development, project implementation and execution.

  • Experience implementing rigorous safety standards and ensuring compliance.

  • Experience working within a dynamic team framework, in-person, and virtual settings.

  • Experience with environmental remediation systems (SVE, Excavation, ISCO, etc.).

  • Experience implementing various remedial strategies to achieve No Further Remediation (in-situ remediation, institutional, engineering, and administrative controls).

  • Strong research and report writing (including web-based research).

  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Strong quality and time management.

  • Self-starter, develops and delivers work under own initiative.

  • Solid attention to detail and thorough approach to work.

  • Interest in performing various business development activities.

Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Archaeologist IV for our Burlington, NJ office. The Archaeologist IV will be required to:

  • Manage and direct both Precontact and Historic archaeological projects - from proposal writing and budget management through report writing and getting project clearances.

  • The candidate must be able to work well with clients, agencies, cultural staff as well as other co-workers within AECOM.

  • They will have to mentor junior staff and delegate responsibilities while continuing to oversee the schedule and quality of work.

  • AECOM has rigorous quality standards, and the candidate will be responsible for meeting this in both their technical work and professionalism.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.

  • Experience with federal and state regulations pertaining to cultural resources in the mid-Atlantic.

  • Valid Driver's License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.

  • Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Anthropology, Archaeology or a related field.

  • 8 or more years' experience within CRM with project and/or people management experience.

  • East Coast archaeological experience.

  • Experience negotiating Agreement documents.

  • Register of Professional Archaeologist (RPA).

  • Ability to review RFPs/RFQs to determine if they should be pursued.

  • Ability to write a proposal, assumptions, schedule, and budget based on a proposed scope.

  • Ability to manage Phase I-III archaeological field surveys for both Precontact and Historic sites on schedule and within budget.

  • Ability to complete technical analysis and report preparation.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills.

  • Employee mentoring and supervision.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with co-workers, clients, agencies, project stakeholders, and field/site personnel.

AECOM is seeking a GIS Specialist to be based in Sacramento, CA. This job is open to remote work.

JOB SUMMARY:

Supports a large infrastructure program by updating parcel geometry map services to Real Property Viewer (RPV) and Land Vision. Enhanced existing online tools and maintain grant deed Linking to Configuration Management SharePoint site. Cartographic production and parcel analysis to support.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • GIS Data Management / Maintenance / Quality Control:

  • Update Right of Way parcel boundaries GIS layer and data to show adds, removals, and boundary changes per the FME process and Appraisal map audit.

  • Manage appraisal map files from ProjectWise.

  • Run FME models, validate changes from FME output to Appraisal maps.

  • Update appraisal map sheet index layer.

  • Create utility guideway sheet index with links to PDF source stored on SharePoint.

  • Produce QC report to identify various issues between what is showing in the appraisal maps as compared to the Real Property system of record data.

  • Change Control Management:

  • Track and coordinate Design and Construction design changes via the RRL process (ROW Change Control) to update GIS layers.

  • Assists in change control management by maintaining design change log and IT Change Control Board.

  • Enters data from ROW Change Requests (RRL form) into ROW Engineering table and tracks deliverables related to design changes .

  • Updates system of record as needed, to comply with documentation requirements.

  • Assists with data research of historical information to verify design work changes.

  • Coordinates with other departments as needed and develops GIS based reports and presentations.

  • May perform other duties.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • GIS experience preferably in the right of way, utilities, or engineering areas using ESRI systems (ArcGIS).

  • Knowledge of principles, practices, and processes of GIS online, FME and appraisal/engineering mapping, SharePoint, and integration platforms.

  • Proficiency and knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.

  • Integration skills with Salesforce and Maximo.

  • Demonstrate familiarity and ability to work with SQL Server databases.

  • Familiarity with Jira for tracking and reporting work.

  • Be able to create spreadsheets, graphs, charts, and reports.

  • Be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff orally, in writing, and with visual aids.

  • Knowledge of Real Estate practices in relation to acquisition.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $95,656.00 - $176,964.00.

Qualifications
