Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Project Controls Analyst to be based in New York, NY. Will Operate as a Construction Manager working directly with the NYC SCA on projects related to schools throughout New York City and the surrounding boroughs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Works with the company financial and cornerstone systems and processes.

  • Applies financial terminology, measures, financial data analysis concepts and principles in assignments.

  • Recognizes processes/project actions that may lead to project financial impact.

  • Develops and maintains WBS for small projects.

  • Assists in the use of drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline data.

  • Begins basic analysis of cost and schedule variances.

  • Develops knowledge of accounting principles.

  • Assists in assembling data for trending and forecasting.

  • Collects data and produces an initial analysis on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations.

  • Collects and analyzes data for tracking actual cost to funding limitations.

  • Provides support to tracking purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures.

  • Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.

  • Introduced to performance management and cost/schedule integration concepts and principles.

  • Develops knowledge of scope control and change management.

  • Supports project reporting process as required.

  • May participate in project cost review meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS plus 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Must be a US Citizen- Due to the nature of the work

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $71,000.00 - $108,000.00.

Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Technical Leader to join our well established and growing Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) Practice in a technical leadership role managing projects, providing technical direction to project teams, and serving as a technical subject matter expert. As a technical leader in our CCR Practice, the successful candidate will work within our diverse culture on rewarding projects throughout the United States with access to exceptional training and career development opportunities. The successful candidate will provide technical direction and lead client-facing teams to support the continued growth of our engineering and environmental services within the power and industrial markets, with a strong emphasis on CCR and solid waste management. They will provide project-level management and technical leadership to assist clients with strategies for designing new, operating existing, and closing CCR impoundments, landfills and other solid waste management facilities. The successful candidate will be highly knowledgeable in both existing and proposed federal regulations for CCR impoundments and landfills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a project manager and/or technical task leader on key projects and accounts.

  • Develop new clients and support existing client relationships.

  • Attend client meetings and coordinate with multi-disciplinary project teams.

  • Provide technical leadership in the areas of CCR ash basin closure, landfill design, solid waste management, groundwater and related regulatory, planning, design and construction phase projects.

  • Prepare qualifications, technical approach, and selling messages and communicate them in proposals and project interviews.

  • Serve as senior consultant for current and future projects, working with internal project teams and clients to set strategic direction for project execution.

  • Participate in national/regional industry organizations, as appropriate on behalf of AECOM and AECOM's clients.

  • Help recruit new talent to grow AECOM's team.

Your Impact

  • Be a part of the corporate-backed strategic growth initiative supporting the CCR market, including design, permitting, construction, operation, closure, and site restoration.

  • Work with key members of our CCR team to advance this strategic business initiative, including support of existing client relationships and growth of our project portfolio.

  • Work with AECOM senior leaders to provide strategic insights tied to the CCR market.

  • Develop, present, and execute winning client strategies for new and follow-on contract bids

  • Provide input to the overall development of technical, management and business plans.

  • Support all phases of contract procurement - from pre-positioning to proposal development and post-submission activities.

  • Mentor and coach team members as required

  • Serve as a reviewer

  • Local and national travel (up to 20% of the time).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BA + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • U.S. Citizen/Resident

  • This role is subject to a Background and Drug & Alcohol screening for pre employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering (Civil, Geotechnical, Mechanical, Environmental), Geology or Hydrogeology

  • Master's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Geotechnical, Mechanical, Environmental, etc.), Geology or Hydrogeology

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.)

  • Minimum ten years of related technical experience in engineering, geology or hydrogeology.

  • Ten years of project management experience

  • Five years of experience in CCR-related projects

  • 15+ years of related project experience in Civil Design, CCR, Environmental Infrastructure or Geotechnical Engineering projects related to CCR management, solid waste management, remediation construction, water resources, dams and impoundments.

  • Ten+ years of experience working for an engineering consulting organization or power company.

  • Knowledgeable in the power market and clientele

  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the proven ability for effective professional communications to a scientific and non-scientific audience

  • Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment

  • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek

  • Excellent verbal with strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills, ability to work both independently and within teams, and a positive attitude

  • Demonstrated business development experience

  • Demonstrated experience leading proposal efforts and account management

  • Availability to travel within the United States to visit team locations, client sites and regulatory agencies.

  • Demonstrated experience recruiting and developing capabilities to meet business and client needs

Additional Information

Please note that this role can be based anywhere in the United States and compensation data will vary in each location, including higher or lower than the stated range.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $120,000.00 - $160,000.00.

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Engineer to be based in Tampa, FL .

This position is expected to begin in November 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater treatment, water quality improvement, and stormwater management projects for a variety of clients across Florida.

  • Conduct engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Carry out engineering analyses, prepare reports and technical specifications, under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Work collaboratively within project teams to ensure project objectives are met within defined scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Collect and analyze data, perform field work, undertake site inspections under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Attend site visits and meetings.

  • Maintain project records and files, contribute to the preparation of progress reports, communicate project and task updates to team members and supervisors as needed.

  • Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required for this role.

  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (biology, ecology, etc.).

  • 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in biological natural resources.

  • Valid U.S. Driver's license is required for this role and must be able to safely drive to job site.

  • Candidates must be able to work in the California and Nevada Mojave Desert region (including Laughlin, Barstow, Las Vegas), based on assignment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior consulting experience preferred, but non-consultant candidates with relevant experience will be considered.

  • Ability to lead environmental compliance monitoring teams, including coordinating with project managers, engineers, and construction contractors and conducting worker environmental awareness programs.

  • Strong organizational skills and proactive communicator.

  • Understanding of mitigation, monitoring, and reporting programs.

  • Experience on construction-associated transmission and/or utility projects.

  • Familiarity with regulatory and permitting requirements under the federal Endangered Species Act, California Endangered Species Act, NEPA, CEQA, and the Clean Water Act.

  • Knowledge of southern California and/or southern Nevada wildlife and plant species.

  • Flexible and willing to support multiple projects as needed.

  • Valid driver's license required and must be able to safely drive to job sites.

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Field Biological Technician for immediate on-call, part-time employment in the southern/central California and Nevada region. This position will support numerous natural resource projects in the Mojave Desert region of California and Nevada with a focus on assisting with biological surveys, vegetation mapping, habitat restoration, and wildlife assessments under the direction of a senior biologist. This is a field-based, remote position requiring the ability to be local on assignments. This position will support multiple project managers on a variety of types of projects including utility, military, transportation, and renewable energy sectors. The responsibilities of this position could include a subset of those listed below based on relevant experience:

  • Conduct wildlife and/or botanical surveys, including vegetation and habitat mapping.

  • Avian species identification and avian mortality monitoring.

  • Support project execution, including pre-construction surveys and construction monitoring.

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Senior Field Biologist for immediate, on-call part-time employment in the southern/central California and Nevada region. This position would support numerous natural resource projects in the Mojave Desert region of California and Nevada with a focus on leading biological surveys, vegetation mapping, wildlife assessments, habitat restoration, and construction regulatory compliance and permitting implementation. This is a field-based, remote position requiring the ability to be local on assignments. A 10(A)(1)(a) permit for listed species local to southern California and Nevada is preferred (but not required), including species such as desert tortoise and/or Mojave ground squirrel, amongst others. This position will support multiple project managers on a variety of types of projects including utility, military, transportation, and renewable energy sectors. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our Billings, Montana Environmental Remediation team. We are seeking candidates who will be able to immediately contribute to the successful delivery of projects and promote growth in existing and new markets, with an emphasis in supporting Rail and Oil & Gas clients. This full-time position within our Environmental group will manage and coordinate environmental projects related to environmental assessment, remediation, waste management, permit and environmental compliance, and wastewater treatment operations. This position will engage with the client(s), regulatory agencies and support growth and focus on expanding services, with an emphasis on Tail, but supporting other industrial clients. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate project experience, technical knowledge, require a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team. This position is available for an Office/Remote Hybrid role for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing scope, schedule, and budget for mid to large-sized environmental projects

  • Building strong client relationships

  • Client and regulatory correspondence

  • Technical report writing and review

  • Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits and tracking

  • 2 years of Previous project management experience.

  • Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check.

  • Must be able to successfully complete initial and random screening requirements including drug, breathalyzer, urine and/or hair test.

  • Valid US Driver's License to operate an AECOM provided vehicle for travel to various project site(s) to support project task(s) assignments and scope of work. Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Senior Field Biologist for immediate, on-call part-time employment in the southern/central California and Nevada region. This position would support numerous natural resource projects in the Mojave Desert region of California and Nevada with a focus on leading biological surveys, vegetation mapping, wildlife assessments, habitat restoration, and construction regulatory compliance and permitting implementation. This is a field-based, remote position requiring the ability to be local on assignments. A 10(A)(1)(a) permit for listed species local to southern California and Nevada is preferred (but not required), including species such as desert tortoise and/or Mojave ground squirrel, amongst others. This position will support multiple project managers on a variety of types of projects including utility, military, transportation, and renewable energy sectors. The responsibilities of this position could include a subset of those listed below based on relevant experience:

  • Lead wildlife and/or botanical surveys, including vegetation and habitat mapping.

  • Conduct special-status species surveys, following established protocols or guidelines as relevant.

  • Avian species identification and avian mortality monitoring.

  • Support project execution, including pre-construction surveys and construction monitoring.

  • Provide Construction Lead support as needed.

  • Lead environmental compliance monitoring teams, including coordinating with project managers, engineers, and construction contractors and conducting worker environmental awareness programs.

  • Perform other related duties assigned, such as coordination with team members, scheduling of work, etc.

  • Utilize electronic data collection methods (including GPS); manage, interpret, and analyze data, as needed.

  • Botanical knowledge and ability to evaluate phenology for native seed scouting.

  • Oversight of restoration crew work and native seed collection activities.

  • Lead restoration vegetation performance monitoring.

  • Conduct monitoring and survey fieldwork as part of a team and alone in inland and desert environments, which can include rugged terrain and long hikes.

  • Work under the supervision of a senior project manager or senior-level team member.

  • Ability to independently manage tasks and/or oversee project teams.

  • Ensure assigned tasks stay on schedule and budget.

  • Work independently and as part of a team; be innovative and a problem solver.

  • Function as the primary point of contact for elevating compliance concerns.

  • Responsible for providing clarification of resource project requirements to the compliance and construction teams.

  • Identify and record native and non-native fauna and/or flora in the field.

  • Promote safety culture and lead by example through maintenance and implementation of Safe Work Plans.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (biology, ecology, etc.).

  • 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in biological natural resources.

  • Valid U.S. Driver's license is required for this role and must be able to safely drive to job site.

  • Candidates must be able to work in the California and Nevada Mojave Desert region (including Laughlin, Barstow, Las Vegas), based on assignment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior consulting experience preferred, but non-consultant candidates with relevant experience will be considered.

  • Ability to lead environmental compliance monitoring teams, including coordinating with project managers, engineers, and construction contractors and conducting worker environmental awareness programs.

  • Strong organizational skills and proactive communicator.

  • Understanding of mitigation, monitoring, and reporting programs.

  • Experience on construction-associated transmission and/or utility projects.

  • Familiarity with regulatory and permitting requirements under the federal Endangered Species Act, California Endangered Species Act, NEPA, CEQA, and the Clean Water Act.

  • Knowledge of southern California and/or southern Nevada wildlife and plant species.

  • Flexible and willing to support multiple projects as needed.

  • Valid driver's license required and must be able to safely drive to job sites.

  • Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Experience with electronic data collection.

  • Possess a 10(A)(1)(a) permit for listed species local to southern California and Nevada, such as desert tortoise and/or Mojave ground squirrel.

  • Field experience with special status species of southern California or Nevada, and knowledge of regulatory requirements.

  • Strong leadership and diplomacy skills.
