Description
Own all aspects of development design for large SOC blocks including: Internal and external IP integration, design of system bus and control bus logic for connectivity of IP blocks to main SOC infrastructure, ownership of the Integration Spec for the design project, integration and optimization of any memories and hard macros required for the block, run synthesis, netlist generation, and timing closure for the block Work closely with Chip Architecture, Design verification, Physical Design, DFT, and power teams to achieve first tapeout success on designs Develop and maintain methodology/flows/checks for your design Work with multi-disciplinary groups to make sure designs are delivered on time and with highest quality by incorporating proper checks at every stage of the design process

Proven track record of high performance designs for low power applications, RTL design and timing closure on large complex designs

ASIC design flow and netlist flow checks - CDC, Logical Equivalence
UPF flow for power islands as well as voltage islands
Familiarity with DFT and backend related methodology and tools is a plus

Product Design/Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development and validation of silicon validation test fixtures and provide fixture-design support to other Apple engineering teams.
Description
This design engineer will own the end-to-end mechanical development of test fixtures for silicon validation, with responsibilities including: -Defining mechanical requirement and interface for fixtures -Brainstorming design concepts and executing design concepts in all phases of a development cycle. - Generating innovative designs with cross-functional teams -Defining mechanical component outlines and assembly schemes -Communicating cross-functionally on design directions and requirements -Generating fixture design PD specifications -Generate 3D CAD model of PCB including Keepout, Keepin, Height restriction and perform cross check - Generating dimensional and tolerance analysis -Managing and tracking multiple priorities within schedule requirements -Prototype bring-up, debug and characterization - Participating in the development of new testing processes -Conducting design reviews and driving fabrication -Design validation and characterization from prototype bring-up to product testing -Driving failure analyses and design of experiments (DOEs) to reach design solutions and corrective actions.

The candidate must be able to communicate well with cross-functional team members, be able to efficiently collaborate with team members to achieve project goals, and contribute positively to the engineering community.
Minimum requirement of BS + 3 years of relevant proven experience.

Disciplined in GD&T practices with close attention to datum establishment
Ability to interact with management, team members and external vendors.

As a memory sub-system verification engineer, you will have the responsibilities as follows: - Play a meaningful role in end-to-end verification of memory subsystem by developing an in-depth understanding of cache coherence protocols and functioning of various units in CPU/GPU/SOC that are relevant to memory subsystem verification. These units include Load-Store unit, different levels of caches, bus interface units, memory controller, etc. - Develop verification environment which can be used in both simulation and emulation - Develop synthesizable transactors and test benches and support verification hooks for verifying memory subsystem functionality and CPU/SOC features - Develop unit level stimulus as well as full chip assembly programs to verify memory subsystem - Develop verification IPs that can be shown by Apple teams worldwide - Work closely with CPU/SOC/GPU RTL design teams and understand the specification in detail for developing verification strategy for the above mentioned environment taking system level considerations into account. - Develop coverage monitors and accomplish coverage goals - Debug failures in both pre and post silicon environments, root-cause problems, and propose design changes to address issues - Develop abstract end-to-end checks to verify CPU-SOC memory subsystem interaction and coherence protocols. - Use novel techniques such as formal verification, emulation/FPGA technology, as well as industry standard tools and languages to verify memory subsystem
